Rooms were clean. Great value for your money. Nice and friendly staff. Nothing
Clean rooms Easy check-in Great location Great value for the money
Next to Hollywood Blvrd, clean rooms Too noisy
open, comfortable enviorment. exit/entrance is bad for drivers to exit the motel.
The location was in a nice spot. Like most motels along this strip, you are close to the mountains and down town. The sheets were very stiff both nights. The room felt damp and the towels were damp when we arrived. The floors have stains and the walls have unpainted drywall repair. The toilet leaked randomly and it just felt dirty overall.
Loved the wide assortment of complimentary tea! Also, the heater and A/C is strong. I slept in the bed farthest from the window and still felt nice and toasty. Beds are comfy and the bathroom is clean. Good restaurants in the area. No frills about this place, but definitely recommends for a night or two on your way to somewhere else.
Location & cost. Really noisy one night. People partying til about 3am/4am.
The the place was nice and clean and really close to downtown and the university. Both within walking distance.
Very clean and convienently located. Beds were comfortable. Very good value for the price. Would definitely recommend. TV remote didn't work. That's the only negative.
I liked the central location in Flagstaff on the way to the Grand Canyon as a stopover.
The proximity to downtown was wonderful. The only reason I drove to hit the bars and restaurants in downtown Flagstaff was the temperature! (20 F the night I stayed.) Combined with the price and the cleanliness, your hotel was an excellent value.
Shower had good pressure. i got a good nights rest and none of our belongings were stolen. The door on the bathroom wouldn't close all the way. The bathroom vent on the ceiling wasn't screwed in so it was hanging making this loud drone when i'm use. The beds are of the box spring type.
Nothing Poor accommodations, including no phone in room, no desk or chair to work at, dark colors in room. Nothing like the pictures used to advertise the facility. Fire safety hazards such as one outlet have a three-way strip plugged in, and a power strip connected to that power strip that in turn powered the fridge, microwave, coffee pot and a light, really surprised the fire department hasn't fined them or shut them down. And the walls are paper thin, heard everything going on in the adjacent room, every single moan. Not sure if the L stands for "low budget" or just "love". Sure, the price was low, but it still was too much.
We pulled into Flagstaff at 9:00 at night with no room to stay in. Everywhere else that we tried, had no vacancy. I found the L Motel online; reviews were good. We ended up paying WAY more than I normally would like for a room like this. But I suppose that's what happens when you book last minute and there are no vacancies elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised with the room. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness (most important) , the motel was quiet ( no one hanging out or drinking out side) and the beds were decent. If I ever find myself in Flagstaff again, I will definitely stay at the L Motel.
Booked a non-smoking room, walked in the room and discovered that i was given a smoking room. Went to the front and (Alex) apologized and was very accommodating! Hooked me up with a non-smoking room! ... Not the Hilton or any 5 diamond resort, but definitely better service and better building upkeep than the other 'budget' motels within 3/4 - 1 mile of this location (temporarily living/extended stays while relocating out of state, so I've been 'trying out' all the motels within walking distance to NAU/work)... The L motel and the Ho-Jo Inn a few blocks down have the best customer service and... All the local 'budget' motels in the area require filling out the same 'generic' post card at check in (no business name, driver license into, etc.. all identical... Etc..... Very sketchy! Identity theft? Who's running a scheme?
It was cheap. I'm pretty sure a stain on the bath mat looked like feces and the shower didn't really work (the tab was impossible to pull up and so only a little water would come through). The room smelled as though it may have been a smoking room though it said non smoking. Our reservation stated queen and we had two fulls. Overall though I didn't expect more for the price, got a good nights sleep and moved on with our trip.
Carpet was peeling, toilet took about 4 flushes to get anything down, shower knob might as well have been a safe tumblr, had like 5 off positions and I ended up burning myself multiple times with scalding hot water. But at least we had hot water unlike the other rooms. Sink wouldn't drain, bed left my back sore, pillows were hard ad a rock. Found empty liqour bottles behind the bed. Only one roll of toilet paper and one bath towel even though I reserved a room for two adults. The RFID keys they gave us were real finicky. All the door frames were warped, couldn't Latch the bathroom door. Had vagrants approaching me for change when I was sitting outside my room. I've had better living accommodations in Afghanistan.
Absolutely filthy. Noises, drunk college kids everywhere and drug deals going on in the parking lot.
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Small room/bathroom, lumpy pillows, no DVD player, dated decor
Cheap Needs a lot of work
I liked the low price, convenient location to restaurants and shops, friendly staff, free parking, clean rooms and working amenities (Wifi, heater, TV, clock). I stayed in a lot of inexpensive motels on my holiday road trip, and this was far and away the best one. It was also the least expensive. They only had decaff coffee for the pot in the room. That probably isn't the norm, though.
We wanted something inexpensive and that's what we got. Everything was clean and there was a large tv. We would stay there again. It was definitely an older motel. There was an old vent with chipping paint my toddler would not leave it alone. There was a carpet "base board" it was not attached to the wall completely near the vent and sharp staples were exposed. This wouldn't normally have bothered me but with a one year old we were constantly having to keep him out of trouble. The bathroom door didn't shut properly but as a family sharing a room it didn't cause an issue.
Very friendly young manager. Plenty of hot water. Generally clean. One comfortable bed. Realize that my opinion is colored by paying $200/night for a room due to being Northern Arizona University graduation weekend. Considered it a $60/night kind of place. Old motel with some updates but don't expect anything "new". Temp in 30's and old heat did not work when we first arrived and room was in low 60's. Eventually did but took a while. Bathroom floor ice cold, thank goodness for the hot water. One bed had extreme sag, other was comfortable.
We moved rooms to 2 nd floor , 3 rd floor had water damage and tenants smoking
This one was clean and pretty nice. It was the second room we had to buy because when we checked into the first room we bought they only put us in a smoking room. A waste of money the clerk gave us the keys to see how bad it was it was dirty run down and smelled horrible. I couldn't keep my kids in a room like that.
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Quick check in and out. Barely civil staff. Maybe he was overworked but the guy was not personable to the point of being rude. "Complementary" breakfast was a joke. Terrible coffee, and nothing left to really eat at 0800 in the morning. The bathroom really needs some updating as there are large cracks in molding, tile and caulking around tub and toilet. More than anything the piss-poor staff made the hotel a real drag to stay at and in the future for the $20-30 extra dollars it would cost I'd stay at a Hampton, Holiday or other slightly higher priced but better quality place.
In spite of it's location next to the Interstate, the room was quiet. The breakfast was adequate for the money. It is located next door to a Cracker Barrel and only two doors from an Outback. The room was comfortable.
Price was right. Quiet. You are on hotel row . Needed towels, tissues, blankets . We were asked to come to the front desk to get them. Really??? They eventually brought them to us. But you could tell from the response that the standard response is come downstairs and get what you are requesting. That's just wrong. One blanket smelled like a dog We left the room at noon. Never got maid service
Good and quiet room, location near to the Old Town of Flagstaff, easy to reach shopping and Old Town Stuff was not very gentle
Friendly staff Breakfast was awful, nothing looked appetizing. Could hear the people upstairs all night and they were just walking, could hear people going up the stairs, basically paper thin walls. Overpriced for such a poor hotel.
The staff was very rude and unhelpful when I tried to cancel the day of due to an emergency. We stayed anyway because the charged my credit card the day BEFORE I arrived.
It is clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. Great central location for our explorations of the area. The Village Inn next door has good food and great pie. The wifi was intermittent and the last day the shower water was cold (it was full up and 12°F, so this may have been the problem).
i liked the pillows. Do not accept room 151... i called ahead, i got there late, i booked it that day after calling, they had no record of my call, the gal i spoke with said she'd make sure i was in a dog room and my check in time but didnt tell me there was a fee and didnt do any of it anyway. they put me in the same hallway right across from the ice machine. there was a 2" gap around the door to my room, so my dog would bark every time someone went by with their dog or every time someone used the ice machine which had no kurfew. i shoved a towel in the gap between door and jam and bottom of door to floor to no avail, i tried to turn the tv on for white noise for the dog but it would automatically turn itself off. i kept waking up to find it off and turn it back on. i was sick, I had driven 6 hours to get there, and I really just needed to sleep. they gave me $20 off my bill. it still wasnt worth the $56 it ended up costing me.
Convenient location and value for money. Breakfast area small. Sometimes standing room only.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Also it proximity to the city.Plus the view
clean room the train line is just close to the hotel. very poor bedding
Excellent staff! Very clean room. Great deal for the low price
Awesome staff Free breakfast Free Wi-Fi (good connection) Easy parking Close proximity to everything Mini fridge and microwave in the room Easy and fast check in and check out Best value by far! Can't say enough good things about this place Blow dryer doesn't work No complimentary lotion in the bathroom Breakfast can use some eggs and bacon Room had some odor that my Mom didn't like (she's asthmatic) No pool Pretty small complaints
staff was very nice and close to stores there is nothing to do for the kids, it was suppose to be family friendly.
it was quiet there and we were able to check in early which was very nice it was a smoke free room, but it smelled like smoke when we walked in.
The room was clean and spacious with plenty of extras such as fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The staff were excellent, polite and accomodating. This was very good value for money It is a tad out of town but there was a brilliant Road House close by for a beer.
rooms were clean and beautiful. free internet, tasty breakfast, free parkingplace, post office service
The staff was incredibly friendly and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and fresh danishes. The heater was perfect and kept us warm all night. I would prefer two door locks, one lock seemed bare. Showering in the morning is a fight for hot water
in comparison to other hotels at this price breakfast was quite okay.
The beds were ok. Gd TV. Nice shower. Nice cool rooms. Wi fi was Gd too. not much Maybe better beds. Rooms were big n clean. More breakfast.
hotel was great, nothing can beat the price, room was clean and guiet, would definately go back. 2,0 hours away form the grand canyon.
Cheap, Convenient to Grand Canyon, Offer Breakfast, Close to shops, great location on Route 66. Just the parkings.
The room was quite big and clean but a bit noisy because of the traffic and the air-conditioning system. The staff was very friendly and breakfast not bad. The noisiness
Newly remodeled rooms. The beds were horrible! It was like sleeping on the ground.
Nice Rooms and quietness A very annoying receptionist, who was blaming me for not filling in that we came with three people, but I surely did. This was a very unpleasant entrance. Also other guest faced this problem.
very nice hotel for the money
The front desk personnel helped me with some unexpected business that needed to be handled quickly. I was very thankful for her doing things above the call off duty. The room was nice and I recommend this motel!
The room was clean and the towels were folded into nice little fans. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for my husband, me and 2 yr old daughter. I really liked that the rooms come with a mini fridge and a microwave. It was also pretty cool that they had an indoor swimming pool and hot tub which are both clean and they even had a motorized chair to assist a handicapped person into either. There was a pretty good continental breakfast too which included packaged oatmeal, coffee, juice, cereal, toast, frozen waffles, yogurt, fruit and even an automatic pancake maker which my daughter and I loved! The hotel was walking distance to a Dunkin Donuts, Jimmy Johns, Chipotle, Chick-fil-a and about a mile (witch was also a nice walk) to a park. We had a problem with our shower clogging up so we couldn't take showers the first night because by the time we realized it the maintenance man was already gone. The next day it got fixed around noon but one of the front desk workers let my husband take a shower in another empty room since he had to work.
Proximity to downtown
Reasnable price, good standard compared with other motels Alarm clock broken and clearly much older than the motel.
Staff & location
Free breakfast, clean room, comfortable beds with new bedding. Updated and had both fridge and microwave along with iron, coffee maker, and hair dryer. Would stay again. Check-in was at 2pm but our room wasn't ready until 3pm so we had to wait in the parking lot.
It was a great price and the hotel was pretty clean and quiet. It is right in the middle of town so it is easy to get to everything. The water took a long time to get warm.
It was conveniently located in between downtown and the mall. There wasn't even a tissue box in the room and my microwave didn't work well. It really is a bare bones motel. If you are looking for zero frills it's fine. I wasn't able to find an ice machine either.
It was clean and nice. Nothing fancy, but great value. Not sure why everyone trashed this place, but it was exactly what it advertises, a nice, basic motel. A clean, comfortable bed is all you need. No toiletries, which was a surprise, even the cheapest places provide those, but that was the only downside.
The staff was friendly. The new carpet was nice but it was the only part of the hotel that didn't seem dirty. I liked that it was inexpensive but I stayed at travelodge in the same city for $5 more and it was so much bettter. Clean rooms and breakfast. The white shower curtain was completely brown at the bottom and you can get more for your money in flagstaff. Also, the fact that they call it Luxury Inn is crazy, I can't name one thing that made it seem like a luxury motel.
rude, incompetent staff, dirty rooms ,bed bugs
Clean room, linens, towels and bathrooms. It has fridge, microwave, and good sized TV. Price was affordable. Friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Room is not spacious.
price is right. room is clean. morning sunlight comes in the back window... no way to block it. shower curtain too far into the shower. clings to you.
I stopped here for the night on my way elsewhere. All I needed was somewhere to sleep. The motel is older but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good flow. There was nothing fancy, no extra services but the price was right! The train went by across the road but I slept through the noise.
I live up north and am in Flagstaff sometimes 2-3 times during a month. I prefer to camp but if there's weather this is my go to place for clean, quiet and excellently priced accommodations. Once you check in you're basically left alone. It's ideal for a place to lay your head. Layout of the accommodations makes for easy in and out and ordering food should you so desire. Overall, our neighbors have always been quiet and very courteous. Love it and will stay again and again. The housekeeping staff can be a tad loud whilst turning over rooms. A simple "I'm still sleeping in here" does the trick.
Bed was big and comfortable. The room was also very clean. Shower a little tight
This is the most basic Bestwestern I have already stayed. More like a motel. The facilities are old and basic. Staff are all friendly, and the room and hallway are clean.
The breakfast was gross.....I'd never stay there again.
I stayed for a day. Enjoyed the location and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. My only gripe is the thin walls/doors. I could here people talking/walking in the hallway which woke me up a twice.
Nothing fancy, but not bad for the price
Okay for the price, but generally uncomfortable. Noisy and uncomfortable. The rooms are not sleek and modern like the pictures suggest, but a little dark and depressing. There were renovations going on, so perhaps things will improve. The hotel seemed unfinished and not yet ready for guests. The room could really use a desk, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, and a paint job.
Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. Offered a second night for a discount. The hotel is across from railroad tracks, but if you are only using the room to sleep and shower you won't notice. The rooms look newly renovated and everything was clean. The shower is nice! Going to stay here again on my next visit. Loved everything.
The rooms were very nice and very clean. Good value. The outside was old so it was a pleasant surprise the excellent and new condition of rooms. The location was perfect for NAU and all areas visited in Flagstaff. na
It was very close to downtown and the other areas I visited. I couldn't find a Channel Guide but then again, I wasn't there to watch TV :) Maybe an extra trash bin in the room. There was one in the bathroom but we had to share it.
Beds were comfortable, room clean and spacious, nice TV. Shower water pressure
Nice clean rooms, courteous staff. Good value. Will definitely use them again.
Room was adequate for one night stay. The bed was comfortable. The staff was courteous. No coffee maker in the room.
Visitors to NAU which the university is right accross the street. We walked to the corner Walgreens, and just steps in the opposite direction through the parking lot, to one of our favorite eating places, the Galaxy Diner! Will be back to the Budget Inn, October 27th.
simple and clean rooms, it was over Labor Day weekend most other hotels were either sold out or exteremely expensive. Surprisingly comfortable beds. No coffee maker, no maid servie the first day, noise from nearby traffic. But it's ony a few minutes ride from downtown.
The pool was nice Beds weren't that comfortable
The hotel is close to some good eateries and the highway towards Grand Canyon. The room was clean. Overall good value for the price. Wifi was not available - only at an additional charge. A bit of a let-down compared to similars hotels.
Pet friendly. Not a lot of sound proofing and it is located near the freeway. The bathroom had a disproportionate amount of room that made the room feel small. No fridge, microwave, or table inside the room. Most of all, obtained a reservation through hotels.com in which it was not fully disclosed up front that the price negotiated did not include an additional 30% charge. 10% went towards taxes which was somewhat disclosed but the other 20% was told to me from the hotel staff as a fee that goes to hotels.com for booking a room at this hotel through them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We booked and paid for 4 people, but they only had towels for 2 in the room. Apparently one of the ways they keep costs down is by having their guests get their own towels, as there were several others in the lobby getting extra towels, too.
late check in They cancelled my reservation , when I did call ahead and explained my situation to them. Woman i spoke to on the phone said she would note the account and i would have no problems , when in fact I did run into a situation .
room was remodeled, nice staff, room was small
I managed to get a few hours of sleep The room was dirty, we went to the store and bought our own cleaner and cleaned the smelly toilet, the ac went out in the evening, so it was a hot night. We found an old dirty sock belonging to someone who stayed there before us. The windows don't open for air. The sink was dirty.
The room was clean. Dodgy people walking through the lot; didn't feel completely safe outside at night. The room was clean and fine if a bit small for four people, but it definitely seemed overpriced for a basic but clean motel.
The staff was friendly and accomadating. Price was great.
value Pool was down. There should be a discount in the middle of July when your pool is not usable.
Room was very clean, some times when I stay in a nonsmoking room I can still smell smoke. This was a true nonsmoking room, not even a hint of smoke. The other guests turned in early and allowed us to have a nice quite stay, this was very important for us to get quality rest cause we was hiking in the Grand Canyon every day. Hotel was in walking distance to quite a few restaurants, so we didnt have to spend alot of driving around looking for some where to eat after a long day of hiking. We would stay here again. Hotel didnt clean our room every day, they do exchange towels out for fresh ones but thats it, we stayed three nights and never got our bed made or room picked up. The rooms are very small but up to date. We would stay here again the GOOD out weights the BAD.
The price was very reasonable and the facilities were adequate for an economical visit to Flag. Some complain about the train noise. I heard the trains when I was awake but once I fell asleep I heard nothing until I woke up. Best to get a room on the front side of the motel if train noise is a problem for you. Also, they should salt the driveway by the room when it is icy because you can easily wipe out on the ice which I did.
the room was set up nice the staff was nice a okay cheep place to stay there is not a pool it says online there is..the bedding was dirty the towels dirty there was black ants in the bathroom every night tv was small an old
The heat is not working and the water get warm after 10 mn
Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly. This was absolute bare minimum. There's no microwave, no fridge, not even a blow dryer. Perhaps this is stated somewhere and I should have read more closely but I've never seen such a bare motel room. You also have to pay per device per day for wifi. I opted for the higher speed internet for $4.99 and it definitely left something to be desired.
All I really need from a motel is a good lock on the door and a reasonably comfortable bed, and this Motel 6 failed to deliver on the second count. I woke up 10-15 times during the night because the mattress was so hard. I won't be staying here again.
Location and convenience Room was a little smokey for a non-smoking room
Staff was friendly Reserved a non-smoking queen ended up with a tiny, 2 full bed unit that smelled of smoke.
Room was quiet even though the Interstate freeway was adjacent. Decor was modern but spartan. Shower in bathroom was very good. Pool was clean but gate was padlocked when I was there. Brewed coffee was available in the austere lobby/office. A good restaurant (IHOP) was next door where service was good. A supermarket (Bashas) was across the street. An elevator was available. Lots of families who were visiting the Grand Canyon National Park were staying here. This motel was a good value. Exterior grounds were not well-kept.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Facilities were clean and I didn't have any real pressing issues. More electrical outlets would have been nice. I had to unplug the clock / tv / lamp in order to use my laptop or charge my various electronic devices. Internet connection could be a bit more reliable as it kept going down sporadically. The decor was outdated, but I was only there to sleep (not spend time in my room), so it was not a big deal for me.
I made a reservation at 7.30, I was there at 10.30. Stuff told me that he had called me, and I had not replied, after that he had given my room(deluxe double queen-60$) to another one.He offered me another room(single queen) for (80$). I was with girl friend, It was late, and we were tired, so I accepted. Then after opening the door, I saw it was not single bed, it was a double bad room like I reserved. It is not fair, he was not honest. Although he had a same room, he denied, asked for more money. Besides, he told me that otherwise I could have canceled my reservation. (Cancellation fee was about 60$). never again!!!
Motel is clean & comfortable with no frills. The hosts were pleasant & helpful
Close to shopping and restaurantS, close to I-40. No chairs and cloth hangers in the room.
For $30 a night I really didn't expect much. It was a place to sleep. There was quite a bit of hair - that was not mine - in the bathtub. There was a paper plate and left over food in the refridgerator. I was unable to use the bedside lamp or outlet because of the way the room was wired.
Over all it was a good hotel. It was cheap so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. The room was clean and the staff was nice.
Nothing The hotel was the worst one I have ever stayed in
Were were passing through on out way to the grand canyon. It was perfect for this function A in-room stove or hot plate would have been great
Nothing Everything the rooms were horrible
Location, price, and WiFi signal Smelly, worn, and dirty - really needs to be gutted and redone
Reasonable price, friendly, courteous staff. Central location. Room is small, but adequate considering it had a king size bed. Reasonably quiet for a motel. Railroad noise was not a problem. No one in office at checkout time, so could not get receipt for stay. Ice machine not working, did not appear to have worked in a long time, Soda vending machine also not working. Sink & tub does drain a little slow!
It was good. Only issue is that the WiFi was inaccessible in the evening.
It had a bed. We arrived really late after a full day of travel and the room was shabby with a broken toilet seat and the electricity didn't work. There is no room phone so we had to use our cell to find the number to call and tell them about the electricity.
online booking, cable tv, huge bed, fridge, no insects, very cheap, nice staff bathroom a bit dirty, towels a bit dirty, room smelled a bit, bit of train noise
The attendants in the front office were very, very sweet. I really don't usually write reviews... but for over $100 you should know what you're getting in to. There were stains all over the couch, there were stains that looked like blood on one of the blankets, the room smelled like mothballs and smoke (even though it was non-smoking), you could hear everything outside and the lotion in the dispenser might have actually been glue. Super gross. Also, if you are a person of color: don't stay here unless you are ok with other guests standing together to silently smoke cigarettes and watch every move you make while completely ignoring your "hello" when you try to break the tension and make it feel just a little less Reconstruction Era South-esque. Best of Luck.
New air conditioner The price for the room ($100) is ridiculous. Hotel of last resort. Wish I knew before I booked it. Room was probably clean but couldn't tell. Tub was peeling badly. Pay more money and stay somewhere else.
