Age and style of the building - quaint, plus proximity to town
We really enjoyed our week at Hulmes Court. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit salad every day. We liked being able to use the kitchen in their backpackers hostel next door, and we liked being able to sit in the breakfast room and make tea in the afternoons or evenings. Very friendly atmosphere. Best of all: free wireless internet. Excellent value and very convenient location.
B&b very well located. The historical house is charming, the staff (students)is very friendly and the parking off-street isn't a problem. A good place to stay in the city.
a very nice, family-based, cosy B&B
Young staff were very friendly and eager to help Rooms assigned to us were not in proper order - Hot water tap broken; tv remote missing etc. Although we know the property had a cat we didn't know it would be sitting on our bed when we entered our alloted room - this was a little surprising to say the least
Very friend and welcoming stuff.
The complimentary breakfast and free wi-fi made it a great value The shower had no hot water on the second day and the heating in general was lacking.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room we booked had a large bathroom with a spa bath (unfortunately, we had a problem with it, otherwise it would have been excellent value for money). The room was tidy and well-presented. The buildings had a lot of character (old Victorian houses, done up nicely). The spa bath in the room ran out of hot water so we only had a luke-warm spa bath. Also, the spa bath stopped working after we were in for quite a while. It would not start again for more than a few seconds until we waited for about half an hour, then it worked again. Maybe it had a maximum usage period, but it would be nice to know that in advance since we were hoping for a very long, luxurious spa bath.
incredible vintage atmosphere, very warm personnel response, great breakfast and overall quality/money balance nothing. It is budget and beautiful stay in Dunedin in its best
The friendly atmosphere, the interesting building, the close location to the centre of town and the good support of staff.
The friendly host. The breakfast that would cater for most people's tastes. The 'old world' feel e.g. antiques and displayed items from the past.
location is excellent close to University and library etc. good value for money will use this place again
