Cons: Not many people know about this place and it makes it with no people.
The owners were top notch which made up for the uncomfortable bed, tiny TV and poor water pressure. Free wifi was great too.
Pros: The owners Jorge and Carolina were an amazing couple.
Cons: The fluctuating water pressure (sometimes none) and lack of hot water during the day. It was only available mornings and evenings. The bed was also worn out and uncomfortable.
A great choice for a stay in Cozumel, Caribo Cozumel features a rooftop terrace and puts you just 1.3 mi (2 km) from the airport. Free WiFi is an added perk, and guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, mountain biking, and scuba diving.
Cons: Staff Wouldn't do much to accommodate to a nicer room
Pros: The staff were absolutely the best. the check-in/registration desk was the best in class for the care he provided to us. Our cleaning ladies were best in class. They remembered small details and staged our rooms nightly around our preferences
Cons: Absolutely nothing. I would love to return immediately. I wouldn't change one thing.
Pros: This was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. the beach and pools were amazingly beautiful. The staff was very attentive, and everything was so pristine.
Cons: The food at the restaurants was delicious, but expensive. We ate the majority of our meals in town, which was only a $5 cab ride away.
Pros: Location on the beach was incredible. Didn't have to travel more than a few feet for excellent snorkeling. The staff raked the sand multiple times a day to keep it looking pristine.
Cons: Tequila shots in the beach bar were $$$$. Paid about $90 U.S. for 4 shots. Ouch.
good beds and air conditioning. good water pressure
Pros: staff and location
Cons: restaurants were nothing special, food was average
Pros: I am a high maintenance traveler. When I pay for services, I want those amenities. This hotel met and exceeded all of my expectations- from the concierge service, to the linens and the toilet paper; excellent, professional staff. Get the breakfast packg
Cons: If you are not a fan of a walk to your room (Deluxe Ocean View #306) book closer to the front desk.
Pros: Very nice hotel campus, very friendly staff. Great snorkeling right off the beach.
Cons: Food/drinks at the on site restaurants was expensive (by Mexico standards), and the on-site Italian restaurant was downright awful.
Great service, nice quiet area away from downtown.
Pros: The private beach.
Cons: The fact that dollars were not accepted. And the prices were pretty steep.
Great location - a short ride to all the shops and restaurants downtown. Good food - but pricey. Gym was small but sufficient.
Pros: Fantastic snorkeling right off the property. And the very friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience.
Cons: They were doing construction in a room two doors down from our room - they would saw and hammer all day everyday. Given how low the occupancy was - they shouldn't have put us so close to that room being worked on.
It was nice. For being a bit further out of town they took the liberty of raising prices on things like sunscreen, etc that travelers need. We originally were placed in a room that faced a concrete wall and when we wanted to move, it was going to be a---/night fee. In the end, they moved us. It also took us a long time to check in; the room wasn't ready. Our room was rarely cleaned before 4 PM. I think they need a better housekeeping system.
Pros: It had a very nice beach area. We liked the restaurants.
Cons: We did not like that the adult pool was far away and the regular pool was overrun with unattended children. I think the pools should have been switched. We wished there had been a hot tub.
Good place for a quiet second honeymoon with some scuba thrown in, but no social scene and too far away from city center, which you either love or hate...think about can fares. The iquanas are cool and the grounds are beautiful but I think it's way overpriced. But the attached Scuba Du dive shop is great. Staff there is so friendly and my dive master Nancy was awesome!!!
Pros: Service was fast, good communication... Excellent bed. I loved that there's a connected dive shop and so convenient for diving.
Cons: I had the lowest tier room... I booked a body treatment and massage at their spa. While the giving the massage was excellent, the receptionist gave me the smallest, lowest to the floor and trash can even though no one else was using spa, hmmm! Tiny jacuzzi
The InterContinental® Presidente Cozumel Resort & Spa hotel places you on a palm-fringed Caribbean island amid one of the world's largest coral reef systems. You can swim in our beachside infinity pool relax in our serene spa or host events in our elegant ballrooms or lush gardens. Dining options include gourmet Mexican authentic Italian or contemporary Mediterranean cuisine while the hotel's acclaimed Scuba Du dive center offers reef diving and snorkeling trips with expert instructors.
Pros: Beautiful property with fantastic amenities. Staff is friendly. Food at the restaurants was pretty good. We used Resort Credits to have a romantic private dinner on the and the chef's dinner, both were excellent. The dive op located on site was pretty good as well.
Cons: Service in the rooms was inconsistent. We paid more for Concierge level. It was supposed to come with nightly petit fours, but we only received them on a few of the nights. The coffee maker in the room wasn't working the first morning. We managed to fix it, but then they didn't consistently restock the coffee everyday. So I ended up dressing and walking down to the lobby every morning to get coffee. I didn't like that children were allowed at the swim-up bar. Bars should really be adult-only. Also, we used Resort Credits for diving. They tell you to check in and then go to the desk about using your credits, but if you don't book the diving ahead of time, it gets all booked up

The lights of the Riviera Maya are visible after nightfall, and glorious sea views extend to the horizon. Other amenities include in-room safes, minibars, satellite television, and coffee/tea makers.
Pros: Secluded secure, private location, close to shopping, and grocery. Less than a mile from ferry/main square. Perfect for someone wanting to avoid the beach resorts or for people who wants privacy. (Apartment) Very quaint, clean, basic rooms with large shower and purified water system. AC worked very well. Very friendly owners/staff. Private parking if needed. Lush grounds with bamboo and tropical plants. Peacocks were an added surprise. If renting the apartments, you should like dogs, as they will visit you often. The other rooms are secluded and the dogs do not have access. I enjoyed them. The dogs are also the security/alarm system and will bark at passers by. Overall great place if looking for clean secure friendly atmosphere in a secluded location, close to shopping and ferry service. Taxi to shopping area only 40 pesos or 15 minute walk.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect for what I wanted and other positive reviews were accurate. No surprise let downs. Perfect for people who want an affordable, clean secure room in a lovely tropical setting.
A great choice for a stay in Cozumel, Villas El Encanto is just 2.6 mi (4.1 km) from the airport. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, and scuba diving and snorkeling are nearby. Other highlights include a garden, and rooms offer furnished balconies or patios and refrigerators.
Cons: Didn't like the lack of food choices. Only one place for breakfast and not a large variety. Only 3 restaurants for dinner with no option of buffet. Lack of description of special events. No information clearly defining where and when special events were happening
Pros: Scuba dive shop is top notch. The dive shop is a top notch operation that have been in business a long time. Had not dove with them for over ten years but outstanding continued service.
Cons: Food was not very good in the restaurants. The buffet down by the beach was good however. Enough choices to satisfy most.
Cons: Sometimes a little loud at pool area; request room that does not overlook pool
Pros: The Staff were ALL so lovely and attentive...the tour coordinator accommodated us last minute with a scooter which was so fun for my daughter. The beverage offerings were top notch, the rooms were REALLY comfortable~and included room service. The food was good too.
The beachfront was cool, with beds to lie on with the sound of surf washing up against the rock/coral edge underneath them...once they finish it off with sand it will be really nice. (it had just re-opened in September after a year of complete renovations)
Cons: I took part in a meeting to consider a time share purchase where they promised it would not go over 1.5 hours, (Tim was very nice) but it was more like 2+ once his Manager stepped in to close the sale...we were given a snorkel trip for our time. Since it is a common occurrence, I recommended the Boat captain carry BarfBags for his vomiting patrons instead of letting them upchuck overboard to protect the reef and the snorkelers.
Pros: The remodeled rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The food is mostly excellent, a cut above for an all-inclusive at this price. Our focus was on diving (easy boat pickup from the pier), so we weren't to concerned about the distance from town or the limited range of other activities. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was a little confusion about meal times - we were told breakfast started at 6 AM but it was actually 7 AM. Likewise lunch started an hour later than expected, at 1 PM. The only exception to the wonderful food was our meal in the Italian themed restaurant - main courses were very average and the service was rushed despite many open tables. We found the overeager young time-share salesman a bit annoying but he left us alone after we expressed our disinterest...
Pros: Newly renovated and reopened 9/1/2014. Very contemporary/modern. Customer service was great. Dinner food was exceptional and buffet was good. Biking, snorkeling right off the vicinity, water volleyball, Mexican Bingo, Karaoke. Gym was sufficient. Drinks were plenty. Free laundry room. Overall great experience!
Cons: Had to pull teeth to get bottled water, we drink a lot of water to stay hydrated from drinking alcohol but they held the water back along with towel service. The bath shower flooded out of the glass door since the ledge was high enough to keep the water in. The glass door kept hitting the ceiling shower head and was afraid to crack. Wished they had more activities that were included but it makes sense to make money around the island. The bartender seemed to cater to the Mexican locals compared to the foreigners.
Pros: Recently remodeled, rooms were very nice, new TV, rain showers, AC. Nice lobby patio area with pool, some evenings had music and dancing some were more laid back. 3 very nice restaurants,we could walk in anytime, but were were just offseason. Smaller resort so very easy to get around and very quiet. Beach and chairs/sunbeds nice area to snorkel and swim. Somewhat remote, cannot walk to town but several places to eat and Chankanaab Park within easy walking. Staff and service were truly amazing, never wanted for anything, and did not get solicited for timeshare.
Cons: No hot tub in the pool area but there are hot tubs in the suites.

Pros: Quiet location on the island, great landscaping and integration of wildlife into the setting. Staff is great, English only customers will have no problem getting a helpful response to request. Liked our upper floor room overlooking the jungle.
Cons: Excitement over food and drink wanes over time, selection is okay, you find favorites, but there a pattern that emerges over the days.
Be aware that internet access involves an extra charge, and it is high. I paid $4 for a single hour. There were options for daily and weekly with a lower cost per hour, but 24*7 access for a week was well over $100. Did not sit well with me. Have never considered cost of internet when selecting a resort, but will do so in the future.

The outdoor pool provides fun for everyone, while guests in the mood for pampering can indulge in spa services at the spa. Pros: We have been staying at Casa Mexicana since 2002. Hotel is in a great location, exceptionally clean, great staff and Breakfast is wonderful. Has a family atmosphere and staff recognize you by name. Pool is great especially for kids. We would not think of staying anywhere else.
Staff super friendly
Cons: In-room wifi internet had issues all week
Pros: We've stayed here last year. We had such great experiences that is why we came back this year! We love the staff. Even though they don't speak much English, but they help you in every ways they can. The staff is very determine to deliver great/friendly customer services.
Cons: I wish, down the line, they have room services. But this is just a minor...minor issue, which does not STOP us to return.
Pros: Convenient to town, a good value for the money. Very friendly and clean.
Pros: Great employees, best breakfast buffet, great rooms and great location for an excellent price. This will be preferred hotel to stay at cozumel. They have helpful staff that go out their way to make your stay outstanding. Hotel is perfect placed on the island for people who want to do everything on the island or main island. Steps away from the ferry, steps away from gift shops, walking distance to Mega(Walmart), walking distance to dozens of restaurants and perfect for those who are doing Ironman Cozumel.
Cons: The beach view is ruined by the cruise ship parked to left of the hotel. But can be tolerable.
Pros: Good location, steps from the ferry dock and close to shopping, restaurants etc. I felt very safe.
Cons: Room was very sparse in terms of decor, and smelt a little mouldy. This was a partner for the GFNY bike race, so provided a free breakfast to the riders staying there. The breakfast was awful! Minimal selection, no "hot" items, and the coffee carafe seemed to be perpetually empty. I realize they had a lot of mouths to feed, but as this acted as the main fuel source for most riders, the lack of protein options was discouraging.
Pros: Proximity to central area - quick walk to square.
Cons: Be nice if they could offer snacks at happy hour time for a charge.
Pros: Staff were very courteous and accommodating. I was scuba diving the morning of check out and they let me store my luggage for the afternoon.
Pros: The hotel was clean and located in San Miguel. It had a pool on the second floor that overlooked the ocean (but the hotel is actually across the street). The view was great. The breakfast was great - buffet with made to order station.
Cons: No direct access to the ocean.
Pros: I love the friendly staff. I never asked his name but he was super friendly and always strived to help every guest. He worked the afternoon of the 07/24/15 and check out in the morning 07/26/15. Myhusband and I liked the guest services skills he delivered.
Cons: the pool is small but we didn't use it

The outdoor pool provides plenty of fun, while guests in the mood for pampering can indulge in massages and mani/pedis. The restaurant is a great spot for a bite to eat and cold drinks are served at the bar/lounge. A terrace and a garden are other highlights, and rooms offer up nice touches like comfy beds with down comforters.
Cons: Disorganized management. The restaurants have a very disorganized way to arrange reservations. The reservations are scheduled to a specific time and customers are guided to their tables 10 to 20 minutes later. The buffet is always full because the staff doesn't know how to manage the sitting of guests. There is always a long line at the host section. In addition, when going to the Italian restaurant we had to wait 40 minutes to get our food served on the table. This is unacceptable.
Pros: We had stayed there previously and returned based on the all-inclusive package, beautiful pools and beach, combined with adjacent scuba facilities. Cozumel has some of most beautiful reefs in the world and it also offers easy access to the mainland to explore Mayan ruins and the local "cenotes". Again, our family had a fantastic vacation.
Cons: Meals for standard dining buffet style were always good, but not exceeding expectations. It was difficult to schedule dinner reservations at the three special restaurants they offer. In some areas cleanliness of the grounds could be improved. The only other negative aspect, was the bars do not open until 10:00 am - difficult to get a Christmas morning bloody mary.
Pros: the grounds are nice very nice, pools clean, beach is clean the rooms are small but they work just fine.
the food sucked, the hot food is cold and the cold food is room temp. they seem to be trying with what they have, i would gess the management needs to step it up with the kitchen budget.
we did the dive experience, soooo, i thought the rooms were going to be upgraded, no, just a towel bar to hang a few things on. with the UDE you have access to a special room that has food and bev. nice touch. we did dive a few time with Prodive, the staff are really cool.
The Allegro Cozumel**** (4-star) hotel has been designed to offer sophisticated accommodations on the magnificent Playa San Francisco, one of the world’s most beautiful beaches on the island of Cozumel.

The resort undoubtedly features the perfect amenities to take full advantage of being in paradise with a beach, rainforest and the sea. But above all, it has the sea and one of the most beautiful ocean floors in the world. Because everything has a Caribbean flavor at the Allegro Cozumel.
Pros: Great staff - very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Nice bar and courtyard. Far enough back from main boulevard at the water to be quiet, but still close to many restaurants, the main square, etc. Good wifi.
We stayed for two weeks, and were always treated well. Would stay here again. We agree about Oscar being awesome.
Cons: Can't really think of anything. Oh, because our room was on the courtyard, there was sometimes some noise from down below at night, but it wasn't really bad.
