Decoration was exceptional
I stayed in Bloom several times 10 years ago in 2009 and I was delighted to return and find that everything was more or less the same in 2020. I liked unique decoration in each room, it is certainly refreshing to find such concept. The rooms are reasonably large, have everything one needs especially for short stays (tea, coffee etc.), and the breakfast is great. And I felt that the price has actually dropped in comparison with the high rates I was used to from the past. Close to the metro station (Jardin) Botanique. I loved it back then and still like it. (I did not find the rooms in particular "need of renovation", they were just fine and good value. I am actually a bit sad that the artistic decorations may be gone fafter the planned rennovation this summer and the place would become more ordinary.)
In the room - only the synthetic curtain in the bathtub - if it gets damp, it is a bit unpleasant. I did not understand the system of guarantee and did not have a credit card, but fortunatelly, I did not have to provide one in the end (until now, I don't understand what I was asked for and why).
The location was very convenient for the venue I was visiting
Nothing - everything was fine and pretty much as expected.
Funky hotel, comfortable rooms, very friendly front desk staff and good value for money.
Don’t use the hotel restaurant, it is over-priced and the quality of the food is sub-standard for Brussels and Belgium. You can eat a lot better for less money elsewhere in town.
Staff at reception were very enthusiastic and helpful. Room was big and airy, maybe slightly dated bathroom fixtures but everything very clean. Coffee/tea-maker a bonus! Easy to get to from Gare du Nord and within walking distance to Grand Place (15 - 20 mins). Metro station just up the road. Next door to Botanic Gardens, which are lovely laid out.
This unique, art-themed hotel is set in the lively Botanique area of Brussels next to the Botanique concert venue and the Botanical Gardens. It's 15 minutes from Brussels Airport, Brussels North Station and the city's historic center. Convenient for public transport, the NH Brussels Bloom! also has indoor parking on site. The hotel's 305 spacious rooms include some of the largest in the city. Spread across eight floors, each is decorated with hand-painted frescos by different artists. Rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions and tea and coffee making facilities. Family rooms are available, as are three rooms for guests with reduced mobility. One of the hotel's highlights is its own waffle van, where you can order the waffle of your choice. It's situated in the OO! restaurant, where the generous buffet breakfast, featuring fresh fruit, pastries, breads and hot dishes is also served. For lunch and dinner, the Smoods restaurant and bar serves fusion food and cocktails. With 12 meeting rooms, the hotel has capacity for up to 320 people. Meetings and interviews can also be held in the Experience Room on the eighth floor. For guests who want to work out, there is a gym equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes.
