Front desk was very friendly!
When we checked in we were given a handicapp room which we didn't reserve. We also were not impressed with the morning staff. Our shuttle was late to the airport because we had to hunt down staff. The person driving the shuttle would not buckle their seat beat so an alarm went off every 2 minutes. Next time we will look for places elsewhere.
quiet non congested traffic close to downtown room are smaller than usual
He let me sit in the lobby while I found another room They did not have a room for me
access to airport.
The SPG club lounge was nice. Offered fresh fruit and drinks any time of the day. Location was easy to navigate around. Our hotel room was booked 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived we were told that the room style we had book had been all sold out. We were then told we were being "upgraded." The new room we had was a smaller room with two queen beds instead of one king. The only upgrade to the room was were on the 15th floor in the Starwood Preferred Guest rooms. But the room smelled like cigarettes the entire stay. There was a paper posted outside of the elevator on. FBle against the wall saying there have been complaints of the floor smelling of cigarette smoke & reminding everyone that this hotel was completely non-smoking. But other than that nothing was done to rid the floor of the terrible smell.
I arrived at the hotel to find out that in Expedias usual fashion, they didn't actually push the reservation through to the hotel but had charged my card anyway. And I knew the hotel wasn't making it up, because the reservation disappeared from my Expedia app as well. To keep a long story short, the manager at the front desk named Michael got everything taken care of for me and then some. Went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and got the room I wanted. Made sure it was away from other booked rooms because he felt bad for the trouble I went through with my reservation and wanted me to be able to relax, and gave me a few other things to make sure I was happy with my stay once everything was fixed. My room was spacious, bed super comfortable, hotel had tons of amenities and wasn't a bad price either. Definitely would stay here again, and I hope I encounter more managers such as Michael in future stays at other hotels. Light in the shower didn't work, I think the lightbulb was just burnt out. I personally thought it was a very trivial issue and didn't find it necessary to complain about it, it was just a slightly darker shower lol.
The lobby was nice and the view from our room was great! Our room was very won out. There was mildew/mold in the broken and missing caulking of the shower. The showerhead was caked with grime and sprayed all over the place. Our towel bar was missing the bar (the support arms were all that was left and one of those was hanging off the wall and loose). We could hear people running and stomping overhead all night. Their photos online show the basic "hotel breakfast" but this is an additional $12 per person. When we tried to leave we found that due to poor parking lot design we were blocked into our spot. While the hotel staff pretended to figure out who the blocking car belonged to (waited some ten minutes) one of our group managed to extricate our car by driving up onto and over a curb.
Clean room. Nice staff. Great pizza place right down the street and 7/11 right outside. Felt safe and was happy with my room
The folks that stayed at the hotel were nice When you put Wyndham and Suites together you expect much more. Wyndham must have just purchased hotel. This is what I found wanting. 1. no attendant for breakfast, trash everywhere, tasteless 2. one very slow elevator 3. none of the entrances other than the front worked at night 4. gym had no towels and equipment was ancient 5. employees were like zombies, no spirit
Great staff, clean room and an amazing breakfast that stayed open until 10 am for those late risers!
The front desk clerk was friendly, helpful and understanding. I booked my hotel in advance and realized a day too late I could stay with a friend. The policy would not allow me to cancel my reservation. I asked the front desk attendent when I got in at 10 pm if she could allow me a price deduction from the 75 dollars I had to pay and she couldn't because I booked it through this website. I left for the airport at 4 am and was only in the room for a couple hours. I was so disappointed and let down. That's a lot of money for only roughly six hours when I could've stayed with a friend for free. I won't book here or with this company if I do this again.
Super comfortable bed. Clean room. Great bargain! Room smelled a little smokey. Nothing a little perfume couldn't fix.
Location, convenience They advertised a small gym but there was none at all. Their smoke free rooms are upstairs to their smoking rooms and they smell of smoke. Couldn't sleep there. Left for a different hotel. Staff was understanding.
I liked the space there was in the room and how updated everything was. Also we didn't hear anyone or any noise from other rooms! Very impressed! No
Convenience to interstate Old furnishings Many minor problems Poor housekeeping services
We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back. The staff was very friendly, very helpful if we needed anything. Rooms are very comfortable, trendy and clean. The amenities were excellent and certainly make for a comfortable stay no matter how long the stay. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The fitness center, pool and basketball court were a hit with our family. Excellent location! Book with confidence!
The hotel & amenitites were awesome. The staff gave us plenty of space. The only time this slightly annoyed me was during the morning breakfast. Although someone was constantly coming to check what was low, they were not right there if you had a question or needed something. I would have to wait until they made their next routine check. Let me emphasize that was the only slightly negative thing - the buffet selection was great & well maintained, and the rooms were gorgeous, clean and extremely comfortable.
The last night we stayed there the people in the room above were extremely loud and running around all night as well as the room next door had a baby crying several times. It was very hard to get rest that night
The hotel would not refund my money after I spent a grueling day waiting in Sacramento then LA trying to get to NM for the holidays. I bought the hotel for the night so my family would not have to drive two hours to pick me up at 2am. When the flight was cancelled at 1:30am I called the hotel and they said to bad they would not refund me and that they were very sorry my flight was cancelled. It was a horribly long exhausting day - ending with an open room that was paid for and never slept in - I will never sleep at homewood or tell a friend to sleep there.
Great value, close to eateries and highway but still quiet
The hotel is undergoing a nice renovation, but the beds are hard as rocks. I was told they are in the process of being replaced, but that didn't help us in our stay.
