This had a wonderful location in the centre of Split. Although newly opened the hotel did not have all of the amenities expected from a hotel charging full rates. Namely the rooms did not have TV's and the first room we were designated did not have curtains. The shower flooded the bathroom (design flaw) and the towels were not replaced daily.
First, I was surprised by its beautiful courtyard. I was lucky enough to be there around the 20th day of its opening and everything was clean, and new. Even though I booked a 6 bed dorm room, I ended up being by myself. I had this huge area to myself!! :) :) Normally, I don't eat at the hotel, and prefer to go out, but Golly & Bossy has a brilliant menu, with fantastic taste, and the atmosphere, it was just too hard to pass up. It is a great place to have coffee in the morning, or a meal, or an evening glass of wine. The staff were friendly and I would definately come back again. If anything... I didn't have a garbage bin and had to ask for one, but understandably, everything was new and getting organized. Also, I ran out of toilet paper and nobody replaced it but no big deal.
The place is just superb. It was a shopping mall, and it was made into a hostel. You can reach the rooms in stairways (really working). The design is also great. Sure a must-go! The stairways are kept running all day. That is great comfort, but not so good to the nature (energy-consumption), considering that the place also has lifts and regular stairs.
The people at the receptiondesk were very helpful! The hotel was hard to find... The hotel has another name... There is no sign indicating "Omlandinski Hote"l. This name can only be seen when you are in front of the hotel... The hotel itself is in a small side-road
The receptionists were very helpful! It was hard to find. After asking locals they directed us to a different Omladinski Hostel, which was a school in the west of the city. If you book this, you need to look for Hotel Dujam which is a hotel in the same building as the hostel.
This place is fine if you're in Split on a very tight budget and don't mind a 10-15min walk into town. The rooms are institutional, functional and clean enough. Bit tricky to find. Email the nice English speaking staff and ask for precise directions.
nothing bad location, and a bit to basic, even as hostels go !
Had a fan. Poor location - further away from old town than we expected, and was difficuilt to find.
