Pros: I loved the room. Very nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the spread was nice and warm. The WiFi was good. No unexpected drops while using.
Cons: I had difficulty sleeping on my last night in the hotel. I was on the second floor and was kept wide awake by the music from downstairs until 4am.

Pros: The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The service is sharp and the staff is courteous. We have stayed at this hotel twice already and choose it over other cheaper options for the great service. The wake up call was on time and the cab was waiting for us in the morning as we requested. The restored piece of a Roman coliseum on the ground floor is beautiful.

Cons: Central Hotel appears to be running a "bait and switch" where they lure you in with a great low rate (in my case £45 for a deluxe room) and then when you show up they tell you they're full and they transfer you to a different hotel farther away (in my case the Ramada which is not a Hotel I ever would have chosen although the receptionists were nice and helpful). The lady at the Central Hotel check-in said "this has never happened before" but a receptionist at the Ramada (rolling their eyes) said it happens 2-3 times a month. Kayak.co.uk should be aware of this scam as it is damaging to it's reputation as a reliable booking service. This was my first visit to Sofia and only had one day so the whole experience wasted my time and left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.

Pros: The best thing about this hostel was the location. The bunkers beds have a curtain, locker and light included which means that you have a little bit of privacy on a share room. Value for money is great.

Cons: Stains on the wall, rank smell in the bathroom, very soft beds. Our window looked directly into a slummy apartment across the alley. Wifi only worked in the lobby, but not the rooms very well. Also the location is not as good as it appears, the nicer area of town is definitely to the south nearer the cathedral church and Vitosha Street. The staff was very indifferent as well.

Pros: Location- walking distance to a lot of sights, Ladies Mkt, Market Hall, Serdica Station, shops, etc.. Accessible- 4 tram lines in front. I feel safe walking around even during the evening time alone. The staff are very helpful. The room is big enough, amenities are included, ac is working & not too loud, lots of premium English channels on tv:-). Its clean from the lobby to the rooms. Over all, if i have to go back again to Sofia, i'll definitely stay here again
Cons: The wifi is ok, can send pictures but need to log on every now & then but works all the time. Breakfast is the same everday. I hope they do variations every other day? But its sufficient enough.

Pros: The location was excellent and the facilities were mostly as expected. Nice clean rooms, fairly new feel of the building comparatively to other luxury hotels in the area that just feel old.
Cons: The staff was at times rude and for the class of the hotel that is unacceptable. There were also services that required payment that I believe in this day and time are a must and should come as a courtesy service no matter the hotel, i.e. internet.

Free, bottled water, birthday cake, card, flowers on my 74th birthday! Fun to watch little kids getting swim lessons with proud mamas and papas surreptiously watching! Lovely warm, inviting swimming pool! Toscana Restaurant was great for simple pasta meal and bottle of wine! USA Today and International NY Times available for perusal!

Pros: They really tried on decorations in the lobby, some of their rooms, the garden was gorgeous, and the restaurant in the hotel was handy. We gave housekeepers at night some tips, they brought waters and bed side mats everyday. The location was good, not so busy but close to subway, good little market etc. We appreciated that some stuffs were very friendly.
Cons: We were disappointed that there were no spa tab with the pool. The renovation construction was going on, the beautiful deco wasn't made well, the housekeeping doesn't vacuum and don't leave all towels and toiletries, one of the expensive restaurant doesn't have good food nor service, the elevators were breaking, someone got stuck..Just not professionally executed.

Cons: Shuttle driver was a bit late and drove extremely fast. Forced us to fit in van (not enough seats). Also, be sure to book your shuttle in advance. When I arrived at the hotel, the slot I wanted for the next morning was already full so I had to leave earlier. (only 1 shuttle every 20 minutes or so). Wish I had known before. So if you plan in advance, you should be OK.
