Pros: Proximity to beach and ocean and quality of service.
Cons: Selection of foods. Not enough vegetarian.
Cons: Only downside is distance from Cabo
Pros: Beautiful rooms and great location.
Cons: There are not enough restaurants open for dinner on the property. Agua is expensive and not very good. It would be nice if a more casual venue remained open for dinner. We ended up ordering room service several evenings instead of eating out.
Set amongst the stunning natural geography of the Baja Peninsula alongside the Sea of Cortez, One&Only Palmilla affords extraordinary views of the Los Cabos landscape and beachfront access to one of the few swimmable beaches in the entire region.
Pros: The Resort is beautifully designed . Super clean. Great pools. Service and staff were on par.
Great kids pool with fun slide.
We had a great time staying in this luxurious resort.
We will return .
Cons: Food was ok there is a lot better in town. The wifi needs serious help.
Sales pitch for Diamond Resorts was not too intrusive use your best judgement ...
Pros: Gorgeous all around. One note of advice would be for rooms to include bottles of water. You get incredibly thirsty in the heat and not having water in the room daily creates tremendous anxiety.
Cons: We reserved a 3BR Grand Penthouse Villa. When we arrived, it was unavailable. So we had to move rooms after the first night. Then, the villa they gave us was in a construction zone with jackhammering all day. We really couldn't even use the room during the day as it was unbelievably noisy and loud. They gave us a discount but it wasn't worth it as our family of 7 had a lousy vacation due to their awful level of service. We'll never come here again.
Pros: The Hotel and Grounds were very clean and well maintained. The staff was always friendly and available if needed.
Cons: Having never been to the San Jose area before. We usually stay in Cabo San Lucas. We were surprised that there weren't any activities that are located in San Jose. There wasn't much for the kids to do, so we spent a lot of time going to Cabo for activities.

Pros: The Marquis was absolutely perfect! The most gorgeous views I have ever seen. The staff was great and very helpful with everything. The food was also good (I would rate it a 7 out of 10) but for an all inclusive a 9 out of 10. All in all a perfect 10.
Cons: The only problem was that you were not able to swim in the ocean. The water was too dangerous. But the beautiful pools made up for that.
Pros: Simply the best...
The best experience we've had in terms of accommodations, service and food. All the staff was very attentive and paid attention to detail. We celebrated our 25th anniversary with a 5 night stay at the Marquis just last week. Since we mentioned the occasion they surprised us with many small details that went a long way. I won't spoil it for you just case you decide to do the same!
One of our favorite things to do was the outdoor Italian restaurant. That night they also featured a wine tasting activity. Don't pass up the appetizer thin crust gourmet pizza baked outdoor in their brick oven. Beef carpaccio was off the hook
Cons: The only downside was not being able to go into the beach immediately in front of the hotel. We walked down a few minutes toward the Hilton to experience the beautiful pacific. There we were able to get in at but just about 10 feet before the drop off. We were lucky to be there when schools of fish were swimming right up to the shoreline. There were a couple locals netting bushels of these "Lisa" fish one bucket after another.
Pros: - Beautiful locations and facilities
- Great entertainment staff
- Fantastic breakfast
- Good food
- Very clean and well-maintained
Cons: - Constant music playing by the pools, they should really keep one half of the area no music. The music is way too loud and nothing anyone wants to hear, half the people by the pool have headphones on to try to drown it out. This was hugely disappointing to me - it was just way too hard to get some straight up peace and quiet.
- Not enough alcohol selection. For this kind of money, I would expect a lot more liquor selection, better tequilas, more high end everything. Also: add menus with a variety of drinks.
- More and better food options. While the Mexican restaurant and the ceviches were outstanding, the Japanese food was only OK (although the hibachi chefs were great), everything else was subpar.
Pros: Its an excellent hotel, much better than I expected, its all inclusive a la carte, they also include all the minibar snaks, and room service. Its very well maintained and has amazing views of the ocean, it has one of the best beachfronts because there's not a soul, so you can lay on the pool and admire the view.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The bed is not the best, 2 days before we left it arrived a group of 30 people and the service started to fail a little, at some point they organized activities for this group and they had a microphone in the pool, so it was very loud. We told the manager and they shut it down.
Pros: The all inclusive was pretty good, the food for the most part was good, I would say 3-Star dining. Loved the tub in the room, that was such a nice touch.
Cons: The drinks in the all inclusive are very, very bottom shelf. No hot water in the shower.
Winner of the Conde Nast Gold List award in 2012, Marquis Los Cabos, All Inclusive Resort & Spa - Adults Only promises a premium experience where you can hit the beach to enjoy yoga, volleyball, and sun loungers. 3 outdoor pools provide a splash of fun, while guests in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, detox wraps, and aromatherapy. La Pergola, one of 4 restaurants, serves Italian cuisine and is open for dinner. A poolside bar and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious resort offer up nice touches like free minibar items and jetted tubs.
The hotel is very nice and clean but if you are looking for luxury, lots of activity, and a central location, this is not the place to stay. If you want a quiet location with empty beaches then this is a good choice.
Pros: Located right on the beach, great views from ocean view rooms. Beach is great for surfers, not so much for swimmers. Quiet location, no large resorts nearby. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast was included. Easy bus ride to Cabo San Lucas.
Cons: There is not a restaurant on site, other than for breakfast. There aren't too many restaurants that you can walk to, so you need to go into town. It is easy to get to Cabo San Lucas, but costs $8-$10 to take a cab into San Jose del Cabo.
At Casa Costa Azul Hotel Boutique, you can hit the beach to enjoy the shade from a beach umbrella or relax in a sun lounger, plus you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club. The outdoor pool provides fun for everyone, while guests in the mood for pampering can indulge in spa services. Horario 8.00 am a 3.00pm serves international cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A rooftop terrace and a garden are other highlights, and rooms offer balconies and minibars.

Pros: Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Views were lovely. Pools and grounds were clean. Food was fairly good - Stick to Mexican in Mexico and you won't be disappointed!
Cons: Staff didn't notify us when maintenance was being done on hot water, but answered questions at front desk when we called.
Pros: The kindness and quality of service of all employees, quality of food, the great effort from everybody to entertain all guests. We even had a fabulous Mexican party!!
Cons: The beach, not the hotel's fault, although the hotel could clean the beach a little bit
Pros: I felt like I was on a big cruise ship! Everything you needed was right at the resort! Beautiful, amazing!
Cons: I didn't like the fact that the adults only pool
Had no music. It was quiet and secluded. I would've enjoyed mr worldwide/ someone over there to have music going for the adult only guests.
Pros: The rooms and hotel are very nice. The location is great for the views, but far from downtown Cabo San Lucas and you won't be spending much time at the beach or in the ocean.
Cons: We had multiple experiences where are food and food service were subpar. A number of us also got VERY sick (food poisoning symptoms) and when I went to report it to the front desk we were treated as if we were just drunken who were hungover. There were two evenings where we went to dinner and most meals were brought out at random times, including a dinner where we had three separate tables sat at once and it took 2.5 hours until each table was finished due to how long it took for the various portions of the meal to arrive. I heard their Cancun location and service was very nice, but I would not recommend staying at this location.
Pros: We had a fantastic view of the ocean from our room - seriously amazing. The resort was beautiful and the staff were all friendly, helpful, and spoke really good English. The spa was so relaxing and pretty. Overall I really wish we had stayed longer. We were meeting up with my sister, my brother-in-law, and her two nieces so it was a perfect situation. Loved that food was available 24/7 including the desserts! Loved that food was available 24/7 including the desserts!
Cons: The food was hit or miss - Mexican food was fantastic of course! We loved the Japanese place as well. The French place was mostly good but not quite the level you'd expect. We didn't get to try the Spanish or Italian place. There is little nightlife at the resort itself.
Cons: Club rooms are smaller than regular rooms. Management very poor in dealing with challenges.
Pros: The pools, beach view are breathtaking. Beach is not accessible because of strong current, but that didnt matter to us...we'd rather to be in the pool anyway. Being in an All Inclusive, we don't have to hassle about where to eat and that's really nice. Food was good, I mainly got seafood and lots of pineapple juice. Yum! We went during the 1st week of October -- perfect timing! Not a lot of people, but that could be because it just recently reopened (Sept 15) or it's still hurricane season? Every staff we came across has been VERY nice and helpful. Overall, even with the visit from a cockroach, we'd definitely come back and we highly recommend the place.
Cons: There's a cockroach in our bathroom. Trapped it and called service to dispose it. We kept the bathroom lights on at night thereafter. We don't want to step on something squishy in the middle of the night!
Pros: The location is good, it is a good size hotel. The staff is very good and friendly and helpful. The air-conditioning in the room was great, Best I have seen in 20 years of travel. It was much better than our last stay.
Cons: They couldn't find our reservation, they gave us a room we didn't reserve. Short of staff, we had to wait 45 minutes to checkin and that was a because we were diamond member, others waited much more. The food quality not so good. And the pool wasn't cleaned. The lobby is very big but no one there to help. One person per department.

Pros: We loved the whole experience. Staff were very welcoming, room was wonderful, very clean, proximity to the marina was so fun to watch the boats coming in and out. The private beach was very nice.
Cons: I only wish we were closer to downtown.
Pros: Awesome pools on the fourth deck.
Cons: Food was average at best one star.
Pros: We loved the entire stay. Room was awesome, bed cozy, food excellent, staff incredible, location amazing and beautiful! Can't wait to go back!! Beach was beautiful! I am going through withdrawals and I just left 7 hours ago.
Cons: Nothing!! Not one thing!
Pros: Beautiful, nice and quiet hotel. Away from everything. Private beach was beautiful, calm and relaxing. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Each room was stocked daily with complementary beer and water. If any assistance is needed in the hotel.. Ask for Alex.... He is awesome.
Cons: Only 2 guest allowed per room, far away from everything. If young, I would recommend staying in San Lucas. Supervisor was very rude and does not have customer service skills. Wouldn't not stay again due to too many hotel restrictions. Also, you cannot bring any alcohol, outside food or drinks to your room. They want everything to be purchased through the hotel.
At Hotel El Ganzo, you can spend time at the beach enjoying beach umbrellas, beach massages, and yoga, plus you'll be just a 5-minute drive from Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club. 2 outdoor pools provide fun for everyone, while guests in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in massages, body wraps, and mani/pedis. Downstairs, one of 4 restaurants, serves international cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Pros: We celebrated our anniversary here. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was so beautiful and private. Extremely romantic.

Pros: Property is beautifully landscaped. Staff is very charasmatic.
Rooms are very nice, with some really luxurious amenities, but could use a few more finishing touches. The views are terrific from the modest-sized balconies in the Jr. Suite. Next time we'll probably upgrade to the rooms with the endless hot tubs on the balcony.
The chef is terrific. Breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks were all wonderful. Definitely Baja influenced dining, but a number of options available as well. Good wine, good liquor, good mixed drinks.
Cons: Modelo, Pacifico and Corona are the only beers available. Not at all unusual, but it would have been nice to see a few more options.
Pros: The resort was very elegant and quaint. The pools were the perfect size for the number of rooms.
Cons: On several occasions we had challenges with receiving our food orders both poolside as well as in the restaurant. I am well aware that the week after Thanksgiving their bookings were lower. However I feel that the service and attention to detail were lacking. There was no spa.

Pros: Super attentive staff. Very friendly, some were funny. The best food of any resort we've stayed at previously. Rooms were romantic, views were gorgeous. Great pools, lots of seating, chairs, outdoor activities. Cant' wait to go back!
Pros: The resort is beautiful, but that's as far as it goes. The staff is friendly, but tough to come by. I'd suggest going elsewhere
Cons: The worst part is the food. On each night of our stay, we went outside the property for dinner, which is terrible given how much we paid.
Pros: The layout of the resort - lots of space, beautiful gardens and great swimming pools. The views of the ocean are fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurants excellent.
Cons: The beach is non-swimmable because of the strong surf and currents. However, it's still great for a walk.

Pros: It was in a convienient location- easy access for shopping and walking distance to the beach.
Cons: The building was not very clean and under construction. Very loud during the day - horrible for a weary traveler. The building was not very secure and we worried about our belongs when we stepped out to eat. My advice- spend the extra money on another place. Good place to stay with the bros- not as a couple.
Pros: It was a great hotel for the price. We had a kitchenette equipped with some cooking utensils. All staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and patient. It was right by a huge Walmart type store surrounded by restaurants and stores. We felt very safe the whole time and it was a great place to get a local feel.
Cons: The only downside was a leaky faucet or two and one of the Windows didn't lock. The beds were also not the most comfortable, but for the price, still not bad.
Pros: Our flight arrived in the evening so we didn't want to pay for a night at the all-inclusive resort when all we would do is sleep that first night, so we chose the Santa Maria. The hotel was close to a bus stop from the airport and right across the street from a Mega supercenter. Rooms were large and comfortable and we used the kitchen for a late supper and breakfast the next morning before we moved to the all-inclusive resort. If you don't mind the lack of an ocean view, the Santa Maria would be fine for a longer stay.
Cons: Our suite was on the third floor and there was no elevator so we had to carry our bags up the stairs. There was also a small puddle of water under the refrigerator but it was quickly cleaned up after a call to the front desk.
Cons: Rooms are very old an need renovation.
Pros: Location, we like San Jose del Cabo, very low key & peaceful.
Santa Maria Hotel & Suits are comfortable, clean & conveinent.
Great staff & room rates.
Pros: Excellent base location. I stayed there as a single female traveler while exploring the Southern tip of Baja. I always felt safe, the property is immaculate, has a kitchenette and is right across from the Mega and public transportation. Large comfortable rooms, king beds, large at screen tv and I even found an English speaking channel. I am picky and this place is great!
Cons: It's not on the beach but I stayed at the Posada Real on the beach just down the street, it wasn't as nice and was double the price. If you want to lay on the beach all day, it's probably not for you but as a base for all the amazingly diverse things to do here in Baja it is an excellent choice and I highly recommend it.
When you stay at Santa María Hotel & Suites, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club. Guests can hang out at the outdoor pool or seasonal outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks. A children's pool and a garden are offered, and apartments have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: No hot water, hard beds, the bed spreads needed laundry sex marks from previous guests , cable tv kept going out .
Pros: We loved the staff , restaurant , feel & vibe of the hotel. Older yes , but clean and safe and located in the heart of Old downtown San Jose. Lots of great shops to hunt for treasures , great Mexican artifacts , many souvenir shops with lots of choices for meals or places to hang out.
Cons: We didn't have any strong dislikes at all.
Pros: I stayed at the Tropicana on 12/10/16 after a week long yoga retreat at another resort. I selected the Tropicana based on the proximity to local flavor and the reviews. The Tropicana did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good value for the price. The hotel was also within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping.
I also felt safew there as a single female traveler.
Cons: The ad said that it included breakfast but it only included coffee and rolls. This was not clear.
Tropicana Inn puts you within a 10-minute drive of Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club. Guests can indulge in hot stone massages, body wraps, or body scrubs, and grab a bite to eat at Tropicana Restaurant, which serves regional cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. An outdoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and minibars.
Pros: The hotel is located next to a highway with easy access to downtown, Costco and an Officemax. Very helpful staff. Awesome breakfast love the choices. Nice swimming pool. Can watch the sunrise and sunset from there. Beds are very comfortable too
Pros: The staff were very friendly. the front desk was very helpful and great to deal with. Will definitely be back.
Pros: Nice people working in this hotel! Not on the beach but very close.good stores close by for any needs.Nice breakfast, I like to leave a tip for the staff!
Pros: All was well! Go there!
Pros: Easy access to public transit into Cabo and San Jose. Good breakfast selection.
Cons: Good value alternative to all inclusive resorts in the area
Pros: Price, breakfast
Cons: Not walking distance from the beach.
Pros: Great location a few miles away from the main tourist attractions, clean, modern, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and computers on site. With a car rental this location is a good launching destination to see the sites.
Pros: Everything was great about this hotel. The hotel had two restaurants next door to it. The hotel had Costco directly across the street from it. The hotel is on the bus to either take you to the airport in San Jose or to take you to Downtown Cabo San Lucas.
Pros: We loved this hotel. Yes it is simple and basic and not all inclusive but it is clean, well maintained, modern, cheap and well situated. I would stay here again in a second.
Cons: Nothing - we only have good things to say from our experience. Friendly staff and nice room.
Pros: The room and lights key, great breakfast
Cons: Limited parking
It's a brand new hotel with free parking.
Pros: Very good breakfast. Nice pool at the top with a nice view.
Cons: The beach is very close but there is no walking access. No mini-fridge.

Los Cabos International Airport is a 50 minutes’ drive away.
Cons: They put you across the street in a dated uncomfortable room unless you book a suite. The bathroom smelled horrible and I had to move rooms. Would not stay here again.
Pros: Love the neighborhood even though it's under construction from the hurricane, it's quiet a charming place. We barely stayed in the hotel because we were constantly on the move. The staff was great, suggested places to eat that were either experience and inexpensive. Would definitely go back.
Pros: Although clean and quiet its a 2 star at a 3 star price. Coffee only in the lobby of the suites across the street- but coffee pot and cups in the room. The coffee in the lobby only had powdered cream Not a big deal but a 2 star point of view. Also all our other hotels throughout Baja came with breakfast, theirs does not so take that into account if budgeting a trip.
Cons: Clean and quiet.
Pros: This hotel is centrally located for walking around old Town San Jose del Cabo - filled with shops, galleries and restaurants. It has many different levels of rooms to suit your needs and is housed in two buildings. The room was very nice and very comfortable. It was quiet without any noise to disturb a good rest.
Cons: No staff late at night. A group of travelers arrived after midnight and they could not get into their room. The plane was late and they had no options. They had to check into another hotel for the night. I tried to help them, but there was no one around and no one answered any numbers. No emergency numbers were given. What would happen if there was an emergency?
Pros: Service was excellent. Concierge is very helpful.
Cons: Looks and feels like Mexican Disneyland.
