Pros:
Gorgeous property. Staff needs training.
Cons:

Pros:
Beautiful, nice and quiet hotel. Away from everything. Private beach was beautiful, calm and relaxing. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Each room was stocked daily with complementary beer and water. If any assistance is needed in the hotel.. Ask for Alex.... He is awesome.
Cons:
Only 2 guest allowed per room, far away from everything. If young, I would recommend staying in San Lucas. Supervisor was very rude and does not have customer service skills. Wouldn't not stay again due to too many hotel restrictions. Also, you cannot bring any alcohol, outside food or drinks to your room. They want everything to be purchased through the hotel.

Pros:
Super attentive staff. Very friendly, some were funny. The best food of any resort we've stayed at previously. Rooms were romantic, views were gorgeous. Great pools, lots of seating, chairs, outdoor activities. Cant' wait to go back!
Cons:
Nothing.

Pros:
The resort is beautiful, but that's as far as it goes. The staff is friendly, but tough to come by. I'd suggest going elsewhere
Cons:
The worst part is the food. On each night of our stay, we went outside the property for dinner, which is terrible given how much we paid.

Pros:
The layout of the resort - lots of space, beautiful gardens and great swimming pools. The views of the ocean are fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurants excellent.
Cons:
The beach is non-swimmable because of the strong surf and currents. However, it's still great for a walk.

Pros:
We loved the staff , restaurant , feel & vibe of the hotel. Older yes , but clean and safe and located in the heart of Old downtown San Jose. Lots of great shops to hunt for treasures , great Mexican artifacts , many souvenir shops with lots of choices for meals or places to hang out.
Cons:
We didn't have any strong dislikes at all.

Pros:
I stayed at the Tropicana on 12/10/16 after a week long yoga retreat at another resort. I selected the Tropicana based on the proximity to local flavor and the reviews. The Tropicana did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good value for the price. The hotel was also within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping.
I also felt safew there as a single female traveler.
Cons:

Pros:
Love the neighborhood even though it's under construction from the hurricane, it's quiet a charming place. We barely stayed in the hotel because we were constantly on the move. The staff was great, suggested places to eat that were either experience and inexpensive. Would definitely go back.

Pros:
You feel like you are living in the town. Right in the middle of the art district and restaurants. Couldn’t be a better location. No attempt at resort or western “comforts”which was why we chose to stay there.
Cons:
We did not get to stay in the main building which might have been a little nicer but there was still a small courtyard and quaint surroundings. On the second floor you get a bit of a view. You have to unplug the lamps to plug in your phone.

Cons:
They put you across the street in a dated uncomfortable room unless you book a suite. The bathroom smelled horrible and I had to move rooms. Would not stay here again.

Pros:
This hotel is centrally located for walking around old Town San Jose del Cabo - filled with shops, galleries and restaurants. It has many different levels of rooms to suit your needs and is housed in two buildings. The room was very nice and very comfortable. It was quiet without any noise to disturb a good rest.
Cons:
No staff late at night. A group of travelers arrived after midnight and they could not get into their room. The plane was late and they had no options. They had to check into another hotel for the night. I tried to help them, but there was no one around and no one answered any numbers. No emergency numbers were given. What would happen if there was an emergency?
Okay
5.1
Pros:
Although clean and quiet its a 2 star at a 3 star price. Coffee only in the lobby of the suites across the street- but coffee pot and cups in the room. The coffee in the lobby only had powdered cream Not a big deal but a 2 star point of view. Also all our other hotels throughout Baja came with breakfast, theirs does not so take that into account if budgeting a trip.
Cons:
Clean and quiet.

Pros:
Good location. Downtown is walking distance. A/C worked well. TV had some English language channels. Friendly staff.
Cons:
I had to park on the street the first night. The 2nd night they let me park in the gated driveway.
I could never get the wifi signal in my room to work, I had to go down to the restaurant lobby to get online.
The blinds were not very dark so you wake up with the sun.

I really liked the hammocks in the courtyard and the wine was delicious. The staff is super friendly as well.

Pros:
This hotel is a great value for the money.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Extensive food choices should satisfy just about anyone.
The low rise terra cotta colored building and the native landscaping create an inviting atmosphere.
Location--the hotel abuts a nature preserve on one side so nothing commercial can ever be built there; also, very close to town.
There is an adults only quiet pool as well as areas for families with children.
Free parking.
Cons:
We have stayed at this property 6-7 times over a period of about twenty years, and it's showing its age a little. Some towels were worn and frayed (sheets were fine), and dishware was chipped. Some wooden furniture in the rooms is showing wear and tear. Decor could use some color and local art.
Excellent

Pros:
My favorite meal in Mexico is breakfast and they didn't disappoint. Fresh made omelettes, tortillas and quesadillas, salsa, pico de gallo, chilaquiles, etc, etc. Made-to-order smoothies.
Our room stayed very cool and comfortable. The other couple we traveled with had a little less luck with their A/C, but were still comfortable.
Bar service was great. Bartenders were all super friendly and always kept us well "hydrated!"
A la carte restaurant was always delicious, but could use a little more variety.
The Mexican Fiesta was very authentic and traditional.
Our travel companions received great surprises in their rooms as newlyweds!
Cons:
Almost every morning, by the pool, there are maintenance workers using a squeegy to move what looks and smells like sewage water, into the drain. A little unappetizing on the way to breakfast.
If a restaurant or bar opens at 10:00am, don't expect them to serve you at 9:55am.

Pros:
The location is excellent, near many great restaurants, and within walking distance of the center of the city.
Cons:
I had low expectations of the food based on reviews I read before we came, but even those low expectations were not met. We ended up going out to supper every evening. We usually ate a late breakfast, skipped lunch and then had an early supper at a restaurant within walking distance of the hotel.
