It's an older hotel. Bathrooms on basement level and 10th floor. It's a weird layout. Staff was pleasant, food was good and the location is great.

Pros (+) Sam, the doorman was exceptional. Ready, willing and able to give excellent customer service including: • Always pleasant and smiling • Providing accurate information on where to go--restaurants, ice-cream places, etc. • Took a personal interest in you--asked for and called you by your name The staff as a whole was generally quite pleasant. • View from the room to the park was great!
Cons (-) • Room was dusty. • Bathroom shower had no door, and so the floor and bathroom door always got wet. • First room was large but was for a disabled person. WHen we changed the room, we were given a comparatively very small room. When we asked if we could get a larger room, we were told that there were none except the rooms for disabled persons.

Pros (+) Outstanding. Like all Kimpton hotels, the accommodations are uniquely hip and utterly luxurious. What stood out, above all though, was the customer service; the finest I’ve experienced to date. The staff is gracious and accommodating. They go the extra mile (and beyond) to make their guests comfortable. Also, the Japanese soaking tub, which sounds like one of those gimmicky add-ons, is life changi...
Cons (-) The views are hit or miss, but such is an unavoidable trade off in almost all urban hotel and bright, colorful, playfully ornate decor go a long way to offset this.
