Well serviced very comfortable rooms with very helpful staff A little removed from town centre and rail/metro services
Great hotel, very helpful concierge, easy check-in; check-out, Location of pool area, which appears always to be in the shade;-( Too few porters availble. Balcony design where it is easy for others to gain access to your balcony or even your room.
The view of the Old Port was spectacular, huge tub in bathroom, wonderful beds, big room, brand new bathroom, air conditioning was perfect, staff was professional and friendly, It has the best view of the whole port of any hotel. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two nights. They even got the room ready by 10 am on our first morning. Petite dejeuner with beautiful view in the restaurant!
The bed and the view!
very friendly staff, high quality food etc, fantastic location overlooking the old harbour
the service was exceptional -
Excellent bathroom Inability to check in even two hours after the start of check in time
The view from our bedroom over the harbour was incredible, and the quality of the bedding deserves a mention as well.
Very comfortable. Fabulous view of the old harbour.
This is an excellent hotel. The parking is tight, get the porter to part it instead.
i liked the location of the hotel the spa no fridge inthe rooms that was the big issue
All. No, everthing is perfectly organized
The bed and the quietness. The bath tub design. The water would be all on the floor near the wash basin after taking a shower. Also, I could get a better rate online then being at the front desk.
I MISS THE HOTEL NOW!VERY NICE! NOTHING
All of it:the service, the staff, the conditions. No.
The hotel was really amazing. The staff are very friendly and the price is amazing. However the Breakfast was really not worthy to 21 Euro I wish if they can provide more at breakfast and to provide people different vareity at launch since we are not meet eaters and we eat Halal only. Like if the provide vegiterian or Chicken things
nice buffet breakfast included in package all day parking was great @ 15 euros very friendly/welcoming front desk free wifi the room smelled of smoke, however, opening the window freshened things up beer options were limited & higher than expected @ 10euros a glass.
The rooms are so nice and tidy and spacious it gives you the feeling of staying in. The French people are the most unhelpful people god has yet to create! The staff in the hotel were helpful but to a certain extent! They are French after all. Also it is very easy to travel from the hotel to Marseille centre (by bus 44 and by metro) yet when I tried to search for this information I couldn't find it so more info on this would be useful to others.
Location was wonderful, far from the busy streets of Marseille. Lots of places to eat, beach right across the hotel, pharmacy, bakery all within walking distance. No shower curtain for the bathtub/shower.
Good location near the beach Very untidy round the pool area, no real outside bar service, not enough sun lounges, poor local knowledge by staff, room with a sea view is fine if you stand on the balcony and crook your neck. For the price would not stay there again.
Good size room and jacuzzi/pool facilities Room incorrect on arrival said we had booked superior cit view not deluxe sea view (which we had) it took three room changes to get it right (or better really). Dont know if confusion was something that went wrong with the booking.com process or if they were trying to throw us in anywhere as travelling with a baby (which has happened to us a couple of times)
nice and luxury hotel on a perfect location
Location Web : 4-star Real : 3-star
Clean rooms and hotel was quiet. Excellent staff (reception, bar and chamber) Expensive. The picture of the pool was flattering!
Did not like much about this hotel at all ! The best thing about it was the at reception when we checked in and checked out. He was excellent.. nothing else was. No fridge, flaking chipboard cupboards that had the doors taken off them, no towels on arrival etc. Waited for service in the bar area for 15 minutes before leaving still thirsty. Maybe we struck a couple of bad days in this hotel's life - maybe they had had a football supporters tour group in the previous night. Not recommended at all.. sorry.
Comfortable beds, helpful staff, garden area with sunloungers, close to city bike for rental use. the wifi internet access was intermitant and cut out often.
The "value for money" ratio was above average - excellent! The hotel staff are helpful. Not to mention that the rooms were extremely clean! Only a 20 minute walk to the beach. Located on the outskirts of the city. The airport taxi costs between EUR 62 to EUR 70. The restaurant is closed over the weekend. Breakfast is available at a price of EUR 12,- per person. An airport shuttle bus service to both the Best Western Aiport hotel, as well as to the Best Western Prado Hotel.
The room was largeand clean, good and clean bath room, personel very nice beaches not too far wifi out of order, far from convinient public transport
The room was very big which was good since we had 1 toddler and a baby ie a lot of stuff! We also enjoyed going to the pool. Although the pool is shared with the Hotel Ibis (the 2 buildings are very close and also share the parking), we were the only one in the pool on Sunday morning. I'm not used to have a separate WC anymore. I know that it is very common in France but I prefer when the WC are either in the bathroom or if not, when they've got their own sink.
I was dealing with two excelent guys very kind, client focus and helpfull at every time, Gabriel and Gerie (the waitress in the morning)
Hotel close to a shopping center, bus stop not far away, but a bit far from the sea and from downtown. Excellent continental breakfast, modern and spacious bedroom. (altough it was one of the smallest) Modern shower, but not very convenient to use : low water pressure, no closing door or curtain.
Location. Breakfast was good. Room clean.
Convenient location, nice staff. Convenient car park close by. Room was not noise insulated and so was very noisy. Some rings were missing from the window drapes that did not look nice. Shower curtain too short so that we had to stay almost glued to the wall and tap to avoid sending all the water in the bathroom. Wash basin had a crack. Door chain missing. Not top notch general aspect. Breakfast prices are way too high.
Behaviour of staff was very good. Hotel was smelling bad and was not so clean.
Friendly staff, clean hotel, good breakfast, easy acccess to city center.
Location, size of room, comfort, friendly staff. Yes. The internet WiFi charge was exorbitant. I had 2 hours credit with Orange.fr and I couldn't use it because Holiday Inn has a different provider. A direct plug in internet connection would have avoided the problem. This is free in the us.
friendly staff and accomodating, great breakfast, good location due to bus and underground with good connection to vieux port
poor air con not working to hot in room told by staff to open window , very noisy could not sleep complained, typical french shrugged shoulders
I don't think that I booked an executive room so being given one was a great pleasure, and the balcony was an added extra The one problem that I encountered was that there did not appear to be any local restaurants, so that finding somewhere to eat at night was not particularly easy
position of hotel in city;minigym hall;the atitude of majority of employees;quality of meals parking
Going to the beach, shopping, going to restaurants and site seeing
loved the staff at the bar! the head waiter and a barmaid who can speak english (not many of them there) were absolutely amazing! made our stay! there is a receptionist at night. rubbish. cant speak english, doesnt know places, cant advice u anything.
Yes! Great staff, very helpful and friendly. No
The hotel has a fun decoration. The staff is young but not professionnal. Their appearance is neglected, they don't pay attention to client's need, answer barely to questions, and above all the internet connection is 10euro per hour...
The staff was great, the room clean, quiet, & spacious, and the location well within walking distance to many local attractions. There is no van or shuttle service from the airport (the taxi cost 50E).
The staff was excellent!! The room was comfortable and nice. Breakfast was not included and it was very unfair....
Nice location, very charming hotel, quiet, somewhat chic...colorful, friendly. Very nice. one small thing of complaint. My airline did not delivery my baggage until 24 hours after my arrival. It was a holiday and the hotel did not have any amenities like razor, toothbrush, toothpaste etc. available. Not even for purchase. That was unfortunate for a 4 star hotel.
From the beginning the staff made our stay comfortable and were very informative about the area and different sites to visit and how to do so in an economical way. Very much enjoyed out stay!
It was great. The location is fantastic, walk distance to everywhere. Trendy, confortable, and nice hotel. I would definitely go again and recomend to any friend. Walking the port was relaxing and romantic. The are is very safe. The only thing I complained was that the swimming-pool was too cold. I was not able to get into the pool at all.
evertyhing. Most amazing hotel for staff, cleanliness, friendly, helpful, attentive etc... did not like the eggs in the morning breakfast
I particularly liked the fact that we were never interupted and the room was cleaned every day including new linen on the bed and new towles every day. No.
The hotel is just renovated, the furniture is new, there is a nice LCD TV. They have free wireless internet. The rooms are really clean. Recommended for business trips but not for family trips. There is no mini bar, and the drinks are a bit expensive. There is no safe box. They have no baby coats. The location is not really good except if you are travelling by car(you can go there only by bus and the buses are stopping after 9PM) and it's pretty far from the sea. The area is strange. The windows are isolating really well but still if you are sensitive you can be disturbed by the outside traffic - the hotel is close to a highway entry.
rooms are smartly furnished. desk lamp was out of order, fare's telephone lack...
Friendly and helpful staff proximity to road
well equipped and convenient with parking tight space
The interior of the room and preparation of a triple room(in case of 3 persons) The location is not so good from any Metro stations, but catching 72 bus is better way to get to there.
The staff, the cleanliness of the room Poor internet conection
the price, the bathroom, the free internet
Pleasant staff, clean room, delicious breakfast.
Clean and comfortable room (although quite small). Friendly staff. The street outside is noisy (but the isolation seems to be rather good). The area in which the hotal is located is not the most interesting one of the city, but still quite easily reachable by public transport.
I enjoyed the location, with some wonderful scenery. The staffs are very hard working and serves people with a smile and greeting always. Loved everything, except it would have been nice to have a room with a bit of light during the day..
the staff were friendly and the view from the dining patio was excellent
Great pool, Spa, located close to the Harbour and clean and up to date.
enjoyed the pool and breakfast and the room was very stylish and comfortable it was actually very good all around
they have a parking and location is great to walk around you would expect much more from the room when you see entrance to the hotel. at the end you have feeling like they make everything fancy, but the room is so 3 star hotel.
Location and breakfast, roomstandard. The service was allright Bad ventilation, could be bad air-conditioning? I like it best when breakfast is included in the price.
Location. The views from the restaurant terrace and bar were amazing and the quality of the buffet breakfast was excellent. Rooms very clean but there was a slight smell of drains in the corridor and bathroom.
Food was excellent, view of the harbour from restaurant was interesting.
The location right on the beach in a suburb of Marseille is excellent. The view from the room and the public areas is amazing. There is even a spring coming from the sea rocks inside the hotel. The design of the hotel is very special , very modern, and include a beautifull library. A nice breakfest was included in the rate, which became unusal in france now. The hotel charged the full amount of our stay when the room was booked (several months ago) although it was a flexible rate and not a nonrefundable rate. It took a lot of effort to get it back with the help of booking.com
Good facilities, very nice room with a balcony facing the sea and the evening sun. Poor choice of English channels on the TV. The lunches and evening dinners were very expensive. It made you want to go out
The food was beautiful and the staff were pleasent and welcoming - it was a very relaxing & comfotable stay. Nothing that I can think of - the prices for a drink in the hotel bar were a little steep but that is about it.
Generally a good hotel all round. 10 minute cab ride into Vielle Port though. No
Sitting in the bar outside. Pierre at the reception was first class, very helpful. not really
The views, the friendliness of the staff and the breakfast. We were disappointed with two of the meals we had at room service but when we complained it was dealt with without a problem. Please see above. The room was a little tired in places e.g. the carpet was worn and stained. Would have like to have seen china cups and saucers in the rooms instead of plastic cups!
sea view from room, also breakfast room and bar very good we asked for two twin beds but got a double bed
Fantastic sea view, comfortable rooms and facilities, quiet atmosphiere, proffecional staff wardrobe is a littlebit small for 2 people
Pleasant and relaxing
Nice reception. Marble floors & nice decor. Rooms were nowhere near this standard. Unsafe dingy location, the worst was dingy rooms not 3* standard. Advised hotel was fully booked when I requested to change to better room.
Good location. We had lovely views over the Vieux Port Decor a little dated now
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, very nice lobby and very well located, not far from the train station and close to the old city.
Good location (close to Old Port, Metro, train station) if you don't have a car and/or come by train. However, if you have a car and/or you don't need/want to stay close to the center of the city you might want to chose another location - if you are there for the beaches, Cassis or La Ciotat would be better locations than Marseilles. Work was getting done in the hotel, possibly to refurbish the rooms - they seriously need that. The noise vas very annoying - started early in the morning so you couldn't sleep late if you wanted to. Also the price was kinda steep for the quality offered, even considering I made the reservation on rather short notice.
location Not much tourism information available in hotel
Location 3 blocks to Old Town waterfront. Friendly front desk staff. Good breakfast offering. There were notes appologizing that the hotel was under renovation. A property should not let their room carpets reach the level of wear we experienced. Hotel is definately a Taxi trip to and from the train station.
Clean, comfortable, nice hotel with good value for money. Even though the location was pretty good the neighberhood was not that nice in the evenings, especially not for woman. Sundays especially everything nearby closed down early, and the only people youl could see in the streets was men.
very very very very very very very very very very very very very very nice!!!!!
Only location and nothing! Hotel staff is false. Room ia dirty. Fleas is jumping. Curtains in holes. The Internet is very weak. Conditioners don't work in room. The pastel linen changes once a week. A breakfast poor.
The room is quite big, there was a kettle, a lot of TV channels Even though the hotel is close to the city center and vieux port, the streets around look rough especially at night (but nothing happend)
Yes very good position and comfort
we had a very nice, larger room. The desk staff spoke excellent english and upgraded our room and gave us some very fine sightseeing tips.
The hotel is an excellent location on the Old Port right next to a Metro Station. The superior room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The view from the room was magnificent, morning, sunset and evening! The included breakfast offered quite a variety for the traveller. I'd highly recommend this hotel. Some hotel staff were extremely accommodating, especially when we were trying to travel during the strike in France. The night staff person was not very helpful so we did not know our train the next day was cancelled until the morning staff checked for us.
The hotel is fantastic.
The hotel was very central but quiet. It was very close to transport links, shops and the old port.It was an excellent base for a holiday. Yhere was no A/C in the room.B/fast very expensive.
we got a nice big room with port view, the hotel has a great location! no parking in the hotel
the excellent location and comfortable and relaxed atmosphere
The croissonts. Room cleaning was not done on `one day and we had to remind staff late in the afternoon.
The room was very large and had a lovely balcony that looked over the dock for all the yachts.the bathroom was clean and large and had a nice hot shower. First impression from the street were not encouraging as it looked very dirty and there was a lot of rubbish in the street but it is a lovely hotel once inside.
It was absolutely stunning. Great pool, wonderful breakfasts and just a retreat and respite from the heat of the city. Bit tricky to find at first. A slightly better map would be good.
Nice garden, ordinary breakfast, small room and small elevator.. Good location! Good service!
Really nice large bathroom and tub. Great blackout shades that made the room tomb-like in the morning, which was great and allowed us to sleep in. The restaurant in the hotel was quite nice and served until 10:30 which was perfect as we checked in late. Lots of construction going on in the city, google directions were off because of the detours- either way, finding the very small sign at night was quite a challenge. Construction also going on on the hotel grounds as well as on the side streets, good to know ahead of time. Rent a small car, these streets are very narrow.
swimming pool, buffet breakfast location, too far out of town; room not very nice, modern or clean
Very nice area The price was a bit too high for this kind of room. Necessarry for some renovation.
Breakfast was great, good variety and open throughout the morning. Location too far from any tourist locations.
Not much Small, very old rooms
d difficult to find
Nice and clean hotel. Nice pool area. Stayed in the new part of the hotel. Really comfortable room A little far from city centre. You need transportation
It was quiet and actually quite central. Based on what other people said, I thought it was going to be further out. I don't think I would have wanted to be any more central for my mood as the port area is much noisy and can be dangerous at night. Not really. Our rooms looked very 'international' so you could be just about anywhere. For people who want more charm might need to book their suites which seem more Provencal or stay in another hotel.
Excellent position on the waterfront in the Vieux Port. Comfortable modern hotel, good sized rooms and very helpful staff. Beds and pillows first-class. Breakfast very satisfactory. Position, staff and beds.
The location of this hotel is excellent. Just in front of Vieux Port and easy to access the centre of town. There are many things were broken in the room. You can not open the windows, the eletric plug was broken and town rall was damageded. And there is no parking space, so you have to pay parking 21 euro for stay.
Great location and very good facilities. Personnel very helpful, specially at the fron desk. Concierges are probably the exception, they are very polite, but did not help much. I found the hotel very good, except for the charging of minibar items and breakfast. The prices are amazingly expensive, even for a four start hotel, and totally unjustified based on quality. When a hotel charges 10 euros for a small can of peanuts and 6 euros for a coke (price outside 1.60 euros), it is clear they have a clear objective of ripping their clients off.
The place has a good location. My stay was very disappointing. Several details did not meet the expectations one can have considering it is a 4 star hotel. The restaurant of the hotel does not serve dishes after 14h00. Wifi was not working properly and for some reason, my phone could reach no signal inside my bedroom. In addition, the bathroom was dirty. At breakfast, eggs were blue and my cup was dirty. I asked for another one but the one I got was dirty too... Despite Radisson hotels are known for practicity and efficiency, I would definitely not recommend the hotel to businessmen.
Room comfort,Staff,Location, breakfast Small pool, our bed was not very clean
Very clean and comfortable, pool area nice including food and drink service. Wonderful view in the Vieux Port room, and large opening window very nice. Staff helpful. Breakfast buffet very good. Bus stop right next door and good bus service in Marseille. Just past lively area so not too crowded or noisy but still trivial walk to many restaurants and brasseries. Some traffic noise, but not too bad and not unexpected for city location. Didn't bother my sleep.
Location of the hotel was fantastic Lack of Tea and Coffee making facilities
To find at the right place exactly what I expected to. Perfect room organisation. Nothing
Central position, swimming pool, car valet service and parking, courteous staff 22 euros for breakfast was outrageous. The buffet may have been good but I, and many others like me, prefer just a coffee and croissant for breakfast. No allowance was made for my preference in terms of price. Rather than pay 22 euros each day I had to leave the hotel and take breakfast at a cafe three hundred metres away - for 6 euros!!!! Radisson should be ashamed of themselves. Daylight robbery
The room was very comfortable and clean. We were lucky enough to enjoy the fireworks from the bay-side windows! There were none except that bath robes and slippers that should have been provided were missing. They were delivered upon request. In a room where two of my friedns stayed on the same night, only one set was provided, although they did not complain about it.
Good location. This place doesn't even look like a hotel when you walk in the door. The lobby looks like a walk-in closet. The hallways resemble an old apartment building. Once we checked in, we managed to fall asleep on the old, springy mattresses only to wake up to the sound of water dripping inside the walls. As I was searching for the source of the water, I noticed mold was covering the ceiling area directly above the bath. The front desk agreed to look into a new room for us, but we'd have to come back an hour later. We were given a new room and we were excited to finally shower. We soon lost that excitement when we realized there was no hot water and the shower was designed in a manner in which water could not be kept in just the shower area. Thus, the bathroom floor was soaked. We assume this is what causes ceiling mold in the shower area. Luckily, we got to walk our soaking feet out onto the nasty, long carpet right outside the bathroom door. I wonder how many other guests have had their soaking wet feet in this carpet. Gross! This place was horrible. Don't do it.
nice clean modern hotel, breakfast should be included with the rate though
Very central and great for the Metro Good food Great service
Location of the hotel, good value for money and quite a stylish interior of the room.
The view although somewhat restricted. Clean. Staff was helpful Booking.com implied that the hotel was very near the Grand Tonic, however after walking about an hour we ended up getting a taxi. So this is not about the hotel, but better direction instructions could have been given. Roller bags don't roll easily on cobblestone streets.
The hotel is comfort, clean and the situation is marvellous.
room extremely clean, helpful staff when asked about maps and places to visit
Clean, safe hotel. 24 hour front desk. helpful staff
We understand the hotel has been partly refurbished. We stayed in a re-furbished room. We were very impressed by the design, style and comfort. It was very tasteful, spacious, clean and stylish. It said 'class act'. Ours was a dark, internal facing room but was excellent. Full compliments to the commissioners/designers: you have done a very good job. Very highly recommended. The inside is very nice. The outside space is pleasant but does not stand out from its surroundings, some of which are a bit tacky (McDs)
The bathroom looks upgraded and chic.
The Grand Tonic Hotel was excellent because of its central location , size and comfort. The Staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend it and stay there again if visiting Marseilles. Thank you.
The location, just next to the Vieux Port, is really amazing. The room was extremely small for the price we paid, without any kind of view (does "courtyard view" means facing a wall and no light at all????) and not very comfortable. Moreover, the staff was quite unfriendly.
The location was great. Easy access to everywhere and the staff were very helpful.
Location, excellent room, nice bar area
Location. Great room with view overlooking harbour but with really effective soundproofing. Large, firm bed. Nothing.
Efficient, friendly staff Quiet room Fabulous food (room service and breakfast) Bar and breakfast room views Everything we needed including WiFi Had to leave
The concierge was very helpful in helping us find a good 'bouillabaisse' restaurant and making the reservation. Nice and pro
Good hotel. Very clean. Just in the center of Marseille city. Beautiful view of the Vieux Port.
The location was fantastic. Easy to walk around the port and surrounding area. Lot of choice of restaurants nearby Cost of wi-fi access. In 2008 this really should be free in a good hotel.
Desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was small but very beautiful. Highly recommend this location.
They upgraded us from a city to a harbour view room - really impressive vista and absolutely worthy the extra rate if you are booking. The hotel has retained its original character and we were surprised on the up-side. All was fine
Location to railway station Room shabby and in need of upgrade
discreet and efficient service. Very good breakfast. Very good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good value for money.
The tree in front of the window allowed for some privacy. Bathroom was not very clean.
one lady at the lounge was very helpful. The room wasn't like in the pictures. Very dark and there wasn't at all enough warm water in the shower.
The hotel was clean, functional and did what it said on the tin. Breakfast expensive for what it was. Corridors could do with a face lift but room comfortable and nice size.
Proximity to train station.
Close to the railway station. The furniture is old, and seems to be 20 years old.
Convenient location, excellent breakfast Our room was a bit in need of being decorated
Proximity to railway station and main street/old port area The cheaper room I booked was more like a comfortable 2.5* room rather than a 3* room, the price being more applicable to a 3* room, but the location compensated for this. Otherwise the hotel and room met expectations.
Close to the station and city Bedroom was worn, in particular the bed spread that was torn through its sheer longevity, end up sleeping in our sleeping bags for fear of bed bugs etc
hotel location it needs renovation
Excellant location Very poor decor, carpets etc
The hotel is clean and comfortable and one could not imagine a better location. Also, we were able to check in at 8 a.m., which came in extremely handy. A little fridge in the room would have been welcome.
Very good location and helpful staff. Terrible coffee served at breakfast.
The location is outstanding, the staff is extremely kind and friendly, and the room was spotless and comfortable. We showed up right when the weather turned bad, and the front desk attendant offered us umbrellas whenever it was raining out. It is a great hotel for a weekend break, as the facilities are great and you can stay without much fuss. Check in and check out is simple, and there are several parking garages, with a hotel discount, located nearby. The room was smaller than we expected, but comfortable.
Great location! Right next to the Harbour, opposite the tourist information, real close to metro and bus stops. Free wifi worked well. Bright and clean, bathroom spotless, showerhats provided. More expensive "superior room" was still ridiculously tiny (just enough space for double bed) and so were bathroom and bathtub. Check-in assistant hadn't read through my booking because asked for payment of breakfast although I booked all inclusive and wanted to give my girlfriend and me (female) a room with twin beds altho I had specifically asked for one big bed. Homophobes. Breakfast lady almost denied access to 4 people who arrived at 10h03 and 10h08 instead of 10 sharp - no sense of service whatsoever! After complaint, I was even told that if the buffet is until 10, you do not arrive at, say, 9h50 but before. I wonder: Why not?? 10 is still early for a holiday breakfast. Buffet was ok but not worth 10euros. Try café "a Cup of Tea"!
Very nice hotel in an old building with central location very close to the port and with moderm clean rooms. Affordable price (had a promo of 119 EUR for double with breaskfast). No minibar.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Good location of hotel - right in the old port and beside the metro station.
Location, price Tired decor, musty, air con not very efficient
Ideal Hotel to discover Marseille
Location, fenestration, balconies
Great wireless I-net deals, no profit made by hotel. Good beds. 1. Lobby smelled bad (urine?) 2. Long queue for exit payment (only one person handling)
Close to both the beach and the city centre making it convenient for access by bus or metro or, indeed, walking. Provision of evening meals would have been a good option.
Hotels photos are very nice in internet, not like in reality.
bed&breakfasts are excellent, kind and supportive staff, the seaside is not too far away. - promotion of free cancelation while at least in some cases - mine for example - is not true; i booked hotel in business rush, because of this promotion of free cancelation in awareness that for sure there will be some additional changes; normally there are when you do staff in a hectic or hurry. second: it would be usefull to prepare a small leaflet about French customs - it was really unpleasant stay first day travelling with our kid because of eating habbits; maybe uninportant issue for adults but it took as more than one day before someone simply explained: it is a French custom, that we do not eat sups, restaurants serve lunch only between 12-14 and dinners from 19.00 till .... small detail that can present a lot of difficulties
The close location to business area. And the free internet access. The breakfast was also reasonable.
Clean tidy effective & comfortable stop over, and a short bus ride or 15min walk from the beach. The area does suffer some litter, but thats Marseille in general.
10 km from the city centre.
Close to the Stade Velodrome. Advertisement regarding children staying for free, but then finding there were limitations on this.
disagreeable odour in the bathroom, maximally 3 not 4 stars hotel
The room was very clean and the view was incredible The staff knew little to no English or Spanish and I expected that from a 3-star hotel
It was so convenient for all the old port activities and for great restaurants and shopping... we fell in love with the place and with each other....
Excellent location, very central in a shoppingstreet, good isolation, so no disturbing streetnoise, close to the old harbour and the Place aux Huiles, rue Sainte with many restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Oldfashioned look of the reception area and breakfastroom with hardly any daylight.
Good location and comfortable rooms
The facility in general was lovely. The cleanliness of the room was a bit shocking, but in a good way. The staff.
The staff were very helpful. Location was near where I wanted to be. Small room, but it is Europe in a large city. Not very comfortable bed.
The location was excellent, the staff very friendly and professional. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. Appreciated the toiletries provided. Lack of parking, but not that big a problem.
Location... freindly staff... we came back for one night after a few days elsewhere, and they gave us a free upgrade to a superior room which was wonderful. No carpark... but not too much of a hassle as carpark close by
responsive staff, exellent location, free wi-fi
location was good, staff were helpful
Staff were helpful, the suitebox was useful with free access too films.internet and radio stations, the tram stops outside the hotel and will take you to the action in 10 mins. It would be nice if there was some cutlery and/or plates to use with the microwave and kettle, breakfast rather pricey.............
New and very luxurious hotel. Rooms are well equipped. The beds however are very hard. The area where the hotel is located is under development, but very convenient when taking a cruise, since it is near the port.
The quality of the hotel E.g room size, the breakfast. Also the tram starting from outside the hotel. Having information/leaflets on how to use tram E.g tickets
Primarily selected for location and price - both fulfilled expectations
the style and colorfulness of the room - bathroom like being on a boat! Lots of natural light in the room, good table to work on in room and email access. Excellent breakfast. Also liked the cabinet of food - very useful for late night quick snack as there were not many shops nearby. Location is convenient to Vieux Port for sightseeing No. I needed somewhere with good facilities while at a conference and had the benefit of the introductory room rate during my stay in Sept 2008.
Great fun, jolly, kitsch, cheery design; had a free shoulder massage on arrival (once a week, lucky timing!) Room stunk of cigarette smoke from chain-smoker next door; all night long.Yuck.
We had a suite, and it was huge, I think over 25m² althogether, we had a lovely balcony and the bathroom was great with a bath and shower and the separate bathroom and toilet is a great idea. The 40% was a real sweetener. The staff were really friendly and helpful. My partner and I loved the fact that there is free internet and free movies, great for tucking into bed! The hotel was part of a development within the business district that wasnt finished so although we had a lovely balcony, the view wasnt great. The floor in the bathroom wasnt raised enough so that when you have a shower, water got everywhere. Oh and
