Cons: The breakfast was limited. It offered breads, cheese and cold cuts. No hot buffet was offered such as hash brown, mushrooms, etc. Eggs, waffles and pancakes can be requested.

Cons: Only 1 minor issue and that was breakfast, not the breakfast itself which was great it was the amount people queuing for coffee etc.. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table as it was absolutely packed I don’t know if all the guests had decided to eat at the same time (which of course the hotel can not legislate for) but it really was bedlam. Having said that everything was kept full and nothing ran out. We would stay again.

We encountered an incident at the hotel and were asked to evacuate early in the morning. There was some sense of panic and I wished we were given more information so that we wouldn't panic that much. Everything turned out good at the end, however I felt that the hotel did not compensate the guests for the inconvenience they had to face standing in the cold outside for more than an hour. I still haven't a clue what had actually happened that day (30th Nov 2019, 6.30 morning)

Pros: The location, overall atmosphere is awesome, the room is carefully prepared and we are surprised by all the little details.
Cons: Staff are a bit slow and a bit rush: no one picked up call for service at first try, but at least they did at second try. Staff start kicking us out from pool at 8:45pm which closing time should be 9pm, not a big issue but feel strange. Two separate duvets, maybe other guests like that, but we do prefer one big duvet.

Cons: I wished that there would be more drinking water supplied to the rooms. I have requested but it took a very long time for me to get the water. The water heater in the shower seems faulty as I would suddenly get cold water on me or extremely hot water...the heating is not consistent which is annoying. I wish there were handle bar/bars around the bath tub which would be useful when getting out of the tub.

Cons: The bed was not comfortable. Noise from nearby bars at Saturday, lasted really late. We requested a quiet room when we booked, so I guess the hotel is noisy in general. Sigarett smoke smell from the ventilation system Saturday night. Not possible to turn off ventilation system.

Cons: It was extremely hot in the whole hotel, especially during nighttime, even with the window open it remained extremelly warm in the room. We heard multiple guests make the same remark during breakfast.

Cons: Terible old beds, very low and old mattresses. Apart from 1 person, porter Philip ( or Filip), the staff lacks kindness are not willing to help could say they are ruther incompetent. It is difficult to get a taxi in the morning even if ordered a night before. Certainly not what one expects for the price of 700 + euros per night.

Cons: The rooms are not really big, which is ok because it's enough for 2. Maybe the one we stayed was a smaller version. For me the biggest drawback is the size of the shower area. It is so small, not very easy to have a shower comfortably.

Didn’t use the restaurant/ bar area but it looked cozy and it was quite crowded. Good bakery at the end of the street (Allee cafe), with a good breakfast selection. Pros: Great location, close to shops and public transport. Comfortable room with modern bathroom and coffee/tea making facilities. Didn’t use the restaurant/ bar area but it looked cozy and it was quite crowded. Good bakery at the end of the street (Allee cafe), with a good breakfast selection. Roomy parking spaces in the parking garage. Friendly staff.
Cons: We had a twin bed and the duvet was slightly smaller than the bed. A bigger duvet (or two single ones) would be more comfortable, so you don’t have to play a tug war in the night. Parking is a bit expensive.

Cons: Location is naff, there are much better areas to stay in. Although the long walk home along the Rhine was quite nice. Breakfast is really basic and is completely outshone by what other hotels offer. If you stay here, expect to pay a bundle on taxis or spend your life on trams. Lastly, the lighting in the room was nonsense. Little spot lights in the ceiling giving about as much light as a torch with low batteries, and there was a chandelier which was all form and no function. I won't stay again as there are loads of hotels offering better overall service for similar money.

Cons: We had two separated beds while we were couple. The beds weren’t really clean they had some hair from other people were there before us. They use plastic a lot, shampoo bottles, plastic bag for laundry and the hotel slippers were put in plastic bags, I expect from such a hotel chain to care more about the environment!

Cons: The fact I was charged €70 more than I was expecting. I booked on a fixed pre-paid rate but when I arrived was told this wasn't possible but rather than honouring my booking as advertised I was charged extra. What could I do? I had to then change rooms as the air con wouldn't switch off. I was moved to a room on street view so had noise of the tram.

Cons: Price of the room was prohibitive. There was no air ventilation forcing us to open the window which is just above the metro train. Some staff were accommodating but others did not seem to want to be there. The breakfast was of poor quality food and the space it is held in is too small to accommodate the guests.

Cons: air con didn’t seem to work? no matter wether we had hot or cold on, couldn’t feel any air coming out or difference to room temp. coffee machine in the room had water left in so was a little smelly, a used coffee pod left inside and water came out with a brown tinge (never use the machines so not sure if this was normal). neither issues mentioned were worth complaining about so we didn’t, as room cooled down with a window open for a few mins and warmed up as we left bathroom door ajar to de steam. more than happy with the hotel though and already planning on a return trip for next years xmas market!! :))

Hotel is in a construction zone surrounded by scaffolding and very bright green security lights that penetrate the dark curtains. No rest and it felt like I was sleeping on scaffolding. Cons: When I got there they informed me that there would be an up charge because the room they had for me did not accommodate the number of people on my reservation. Am still trying to figure out if I paid twice for the room There is also no concierge and the staff is not overly friendly. However, they are very competent and pointed us in the right direction to get the information we needed.

And the emergency button in the lift doesn’t work at all ... we was calling by phone to reception and trying to find someone to help us.. finally came someone with special key to open the door , and I told him how come the Emergency button doesn’t work, he just answer me: “if it’s broken then is broken”.......seems like...it’s not his problem... if in that time we don’t have phone or couldn’t call...I don’t know how long we’ll be trap there..

We immediately complained but the only member of staff there at the time told us the hotel was fully booked for the night so we couldn't switch rooms. He said he'd get back to me once he spoke with the owner, but he never contacted me, neither by phone or by knocking on our room. We ended up sleeping with the windows open, but the smell was still there throughout the night. The air in the hall was much cleaner than that of the room. You get what you pay, I guess.

The asian girl in charge of cleaning the dining room waited for us to start our breakfast to ask for our "breakfast card". Obviously we didn't have it. So she became VERY UNFRIENDLY, asked for our room keycard and went to the reception desk. When she went back, she just gave us our keycard back, without a word or even a smile. We would have appreciated a request for this breakfast card BEFORE we entered the room. We felt like we were trapped, after feeling that we committed a crime. Too bad, so far it had been a very pleasant stay.

Pros: The hotel is located in good place near the central station and you'll have quick access to the shops and nice restaurants.
Cons: The reception is not present during night and if you have an issue then there is no one to answer you. In my personal experience there were a group of young people making horrible noises at 4 AM in such a way that it felt even unsafe to get out of the room. Unfortunately the management couldn't solve the issue.

Pros: Location is very good. Two minutes from main bus station and five minutes from HBF main train station. Staff are very helpful and kind The room is clean and breakfast is buffet and very good This is the second time here and absolutely I will stay again.

Pros: the hotel was great. I felt like I was at home. the staff were friendly and always ready to help. they also helped me to get my things in the room. I enjoyed my breakfast. it was a buffet and you could eat as much as you wanted. the room was clean, and the bathroom was new. I loved everything. I suggest it and i will be there again soon!!!!!

People working there are quite friendly; so they did let me have a short food break in the kitchen while I was waiting for my registration. The bed is really comfortable and the room itself has much space for each roommate.
Cons: Unfortunately, our room had a problem with lightening in the toilet and the working staff did not have a chance to fix it before my leave, so that I used the public toilets/opened with the same key on the ground floor. Second thing is sockets, I could not find any to use my laptop because of my work actually; every bed has only two USB ports useful for mob. or power band, but that is not enough if people travel with other working facilities. At the end of my stay I wanted to leave my baggage in their luggage room for a couple of hours, but left it at their locker, paying 4 EUR more, cause a luggage room cannot be closed all the time and they are not responsible for its safety. The rooms are for non-smokers, I could not even understand then why I could smell it all the time in the hall. Btw, be ready to pay 3.5 EUR more to use linen, and please get some kitchen appliances, i.e. folks, cups and spoons, if you need to use a guest kitchen, cause they are not available there.

Cons: The mattress was quite uncomfortable (really hard, not suitable for pregnant women) and the walls are quite thin, so you can hear louder customers like they are standing next to you. Parking situation is quite horrible. There aren't any free parking spaces around the hostel or in the streets nearby. During the weekend you can park your car at the street, but just when you're lucky enough to get a parking spot. 15 Euro for one day in the parking garage of the hostel is too expensive.

Breakfast which was extra was standard, nothing special with one type of roll and a few pastries, cereals and boiled eggs on offer; orange juice, tea and coffee were excellent. Disappointing mushy tinned fruit. The room was very comfortable but bedside lamp was disconnected from wall socket which didn't work. Shower hose was loose which mean the water jet swung round and sprayed onto the floor. So apart from a few minor niggles, a very good choice of hotel.

Cons: The hotel is old. The main issue that disrupted my stay was the lack of Air Conditioner. This hotel has four Stars, I never imagined that with such high rating would be lacking something so standard. I stayed on July 3 rd, on a top floor. We opened all the windows, including some in the roof, which helped a little, but being in Summer, it rained in the middle of the night and water started to fall on top of our beds.
The other issue was that the shower hose was clogged, even though there was lots of pressure in the pipes bearly any would come out. Not a very pleasant stay for a four star hotel.
