Very big bed.

The breakfast was fantastic! The fact that smoking is allowed in all public places in the hotel.

Good location - city center easily reachable by foot; attended a conference, which was very well and professional cared for by the hotel; comparatively large rooms. Definitely would recommend it.

We were travelling with a baby and the hotel supplied a real cot with bedding and a childrens wash kit for no extra charge, which was nice as were used to travels cots and a blanket if were lucky. Plus the hotel had aircon which was a blessing as it was nearly 40 degrees outside!

The staff was extremely helpful, and the hotel ambience was excellent. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. We got a great idea of what a historical intown facility is like.

Very comfortable room; nice spa area; attentive but overworked staff My room faced Rothenburger Strasse -- and it seemed as if two or three doors down, there was either a bar / dance club or else a number of disfunctional families who yelled and screamed at each other literally all night long. Friday and Saturday nights I hardly slept at all due to this noise. (I was at the hotel from Tuesday through Sunday) If the hotel's front desk had been manned during that time, I would have assumed they would have called the police. Unfortunately the hotel is evidently unable to staff the front desk all night.

Great location across the road from the mainline station. Very friendly and efficient staff and comfortable rooms. Good selection at breakfast.

Good location. The room was spacious and confortable. Very near the Dresden Neustad train station. The room smelt A LOT like cigarettes. We were given a room in the smokers' floor, although we asked for a non-smoking room. Usually it makes no diference, but in this hotel it did, since the room had the smell very very intense.

The room was very big and spacious. The bathroom was huge and had a wonderful big bathtub. I could order lots of food at 3am after a concert when I was starving. The front desk girls were so helpful and friendly. I would completely stay there again. It was only a 10 minute tram ride to the main old gorgeous city and a 17 minute ride to the main train station. The hotel was a little off the main street and took 5 minutes to walk to but really..it's such a minor inconvenience.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Macrander, we had a room on the top floor facing the park across the road. The room was a reasonable size, clean and had most of the things you would expect from a 4* hotel. The plasma tv was a decent size but the signal not great and the only channels in English were Eurosport, BBC World and something called Premier Film English which showed films in English in the evening and in German during the day. The breakfast was far too expensive so we didn't have it. The hotel is right on the edge of a very bohemian part of Dresden and there is some kind of derelict/squatted building just over the road in the park. There is a street festival every year on the last weekend in August in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and the squat in the park sets up a huge sound system which blasts out deep bass dance music and death metal at a ridiculous volume from 12pm to 1 am Fri/Sat and most of Sunday. We had family staying in other parts of the hotel, there is no room in the hotel unaffected because of the deep bass constantly pumping out.

We got free upgrade to adjacent Holiday Inn. Room was excellent and breakfast excellent although not cheap. Free bicycles. A bit far from the centre and other restaurants. Area is somewhat seedy. Bicycles badly need maintenance.

The staff of this hotel was very kind and the room that we stayed was clean enough.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It wasn't very close to the city centre, but the walk wasn't bad. It took 15-20 mins to walk to the Augustbrucke.

Close to the city centre (about 10minutes by foot), good breakfast. Helpful and communicative staff. Our room was prepare for one person, not for two, but they fix it very quick. Quite expensive parking space.

Familiy is good and kind.I don` know how to buy train ticket,but this familiy tell me very friendly. Especially nothing.
