The friendly staff - housekeeping (Amal), boutique (Ilham) and restaurant in particular. Pool not heated. No shuttle service to town centre. Baggage forgotten about on last day - left at room door from 11 am to my departure at 4 pm: could have been stolen or touched. Not transported to my room on arrival, although my baggage was. I had to return to Reception because my card key didn't work, so that was 3 trips from Reception to room 3108, when I was already very tired - I arrived at 7pm!
Food Bribing people to get a piece of information or decent service
We could not fault the hotel. It's our third time in morocco and by far our most pleasent stay. The staff are so hard working and at the same time so tentative to all our needs. We are considering going back to the iberostar with our two younger kids for a week at Christmas. If not , then during the summer for sure. Simon and Sandra toft. For once I had no complaints with a hotel.
The most me and my family enjoyed wat the ennimation team you have at the hotel the kids love them and we love them they made our stay fantastic and for that reason we will visit the place next year again they do nice night shows for kids aswell for adults and also the whole day they are around the hotel to talk to u and also to make u smile. the beds in the rooms are not comfortible there should be double beds if u book a double room so hope you guys change them apart from them the hotel is the best.
The grounds of hotel where lovely and outside restaurant at lunch time
location to the beach & pool
The pool and surrounding area. The staff were appalling, the check in took forever and they kept requesting a "voucher " I tried to explain many times that I booked via kayak mobile app so I don't have a "voucher " the reluctantly / eventually accepted the booking reference number. Their cyber long want won't and once again the front deck were very unhelpful when I was trying to do my airline online check in, this time the staff a front desk were down right rude. Then the bar staff didn't have a word of English and were again rude. Wifi service was practically none existent. The nicest people in this whole hotel was the engineer who arrived at our room to repair the wifi connection. Booked a room with side see view, ended up in a first floor corner room over looking the terrace, I suppose if if stretched out over the balcony using binoculars I might have caught a small glimpse of the sea. Having been staying up the road in the sofitel , I can confirm that the Royal Atlas is far from being a five star. More like a three star.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful - even more so than the pictures indicate! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, services were fantastic, and location was very good. There were a couple of time periods during the day when its difficult to get anything to eat (even a small snack) - with young children this was a little difficult. Perhaps having a few more snack items for sale in the gift shop would help. Also, as this area of Agadir is still being built the hotel was a little far from any other shops (although, admittedly, that is also part of the appeal)!
From my POV, the territory is the best what this hotel has - very stylish, plenty of space, several swimming pools. Taking into account that this is some sort of business hotel, there are not many people during the day outside, while in the evening the hotel has very lively atmosphere. Please those who wants to book standard room - be aware that it overlooks whether constraction or the other hotel (window-to window). And only the most expensive rooms have the balcony. The other shortcoming - that it took very long time for stuff on reception to response to our simple requests - very often they just ignore us (obviously - not the level of the luxury hotel)
The staff were very friendly and helpful on all matters; Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The pool and surrounding facilities were exceptionally comfortable and the location was beautiful. Highly recommended.
lovely staff, very polite. rooms were very clean and the pool area was beautiful
hammocks in the yard room was smaller then i expected. also had to change the room after check-in since i was ordering kingsize bed but reception gave me twin.
beach and swimming pools I didnt like restaurants, rooms but they changed after lot of discussions
The outdoor facilities were excellent, really friendly and helpful staff, the rooms might need a bit of updating to equal standard with the hotel facilities (E.G. swimming pool, beach, restaurants) As mentioned above, the rooms weren't as great as the rest of the hotel.
Layout and the territory Substandard service for a five star hotel. The guests are charged for absolutely everything and these charges are unreasonable. The SPA facilities and the service are appalling and much overpriced. This is the first 5 star hotel we stayed in where we were charged £20 for a basic finish sauna and where used water from the pedicure was brought into visitors’ changing rooms and flushed down the sinks in front of you!! Overall it is a pretty hotel with beautiful views of the ocean, however it is very poorly run and for the same money you will have a better experience elsewhere.
Pleasant and helpfull Staff, Easy to Relax around the hotel, pool, garden and the beech area, Food was expensive therefore we would eat out.
Good beds, quiet, nice swimmingpool and beautiful beach with facilities in front of the hotel (private beach) Ridiculous that you have to pay almost € 30 to be able to use the internet during 24 hours which meanwhile is even slow...
Very opulent and luxurious hotel. The Spa is amazing and the Morrocan restaurant was superb. Some of the staff were a bit "difficult/attitudey" (even in French) bringing the wrong bottle of wine and arguing back when they were clearly in the wrong. One of the waiters at the pool lied to us saying the bar was closed when it clearly wasn't. Luckliy his colleague was more helpful. Many of the sun loungers by the pool looked stained and unclean, which is unacceptable at these prices. The buffet by the pool was awful and very bad value (London prices for food that had been on a hot plate for over three hours). Not sure how Sofitel figured they could get away with this in a five star resort.
Spa facilities and staff Rooms were very basic and did not live up to rest of hotel facilities. Over priced throughout, eg 3.50 Euro for a can of coke?
The rooms were spacious comfortable. Staff were helpful and service excellent. I've stayed many times in Agadir, each time at different hotels but this is the hotel I will return to on my next visit. The only down side to the hotel is the lack of outdoor breakfast tables. Taking a holiday in Agadir where the sun shines from early morning it would be a novelty and advantage for those from less sunny climes to enjoy breakfast outdoors on holiday.
The garden view . 1.The bussines center there are only 3 computers and it always full with kides . 2.when we check in the beds were used and not clean . 3. the room servicse dosnot work after 10 pm and thay charege you 295 DHM for every room service . 4. there are no inaf parking . there is no wireless in the rooms . 5. the staff are not kindy and is talking to much .
Nice welcome. Huge hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Very large swimming-pool. Casino, restaurants, live music, night club. Wireless internet.
We were treated like a king and a queen. The staff were amazing The room was a little outdated, but that did not take from our enjoyment.
helpful & pleasant staff, ideally located in Agadir, lovely hotel while hotel is 5 star the rooms were 3 star, bathroom tiles could be updated
The pool and the spa was very relaxing and that is where we spent most of our time. Took us 1hr to get a room after being changed twice. The maintenance of the hotel is very poor. I would not give it a 5 star rating.
Pool is big. Staff was incredibly rude. From room service to check out. Very ignorant and disrespectful. Waiters at restaurant have zero knowledge. Food was bad and all three times they tried to over charge us. When we corrected them they got mad, as if we were mean or stupid for wanting to pay the price on the menu. Watch out for "city tax" 20euros more than hotels.com said I should have to pay.
Paradis Plage lives up to its name. It is a slice of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. The grounds are idyllic. The scenery could not be more pristine. The rooms are quite large, super comfortable, and have spectacular views. They have a fabulous fitness facility and beautiful yoga studios. And the entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The manager, Ali, is a pleasure and made me feel totally at home. They even sent me a beautiful and delicious fresh fruit plate on my last night. I wish I could have stayed here much longer. The only drawback is the food I found to be hit or miss. The salads were my favorite and the best value for the money. But overall, I would recommend this hotel most highly. I would absolutely come back!
The hotel's proximity to the beach. Pretty much everything about the hotel was very disappointing. Our room (room 534) smelled like urine during the whole stay, the room conditions were dreadful (old rugs, worn-out blankets, broken fixtures...etc.), we didn't have any hot water in rooms 534 (the first day) and 322 (the third day), room 322 totally lost tv and phone signals on day 3 (we had to call the reception 4 times to get it fixed), the line for breakfast was always very disorganized. The building is old and doesn't have any elevators, which can be a big problem if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The rooms are way over-priced considering the quality of service. This hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel... Honestly, I wouldn't even give it a 3!!
the recpetion desk staff were absolutely appaling the staff
The location was great and the pool area was relaxing and enjoyable. The room was clean and the service was good. The breakfast was also a great value and we appreciated the selection. The massage was terrible. They had no idea what they were doing. The good news is that the manager graciously gave us back 50% of the cost. The entertainment was average in the evening.
My 7th visit, the staff are like family to me and cannot do enough for me.They know of my charity work for Agadir orphans and show that they hold me and my wife in very high regard.I would never stay in any other hotel Nothing at all.
Good hotel for family holiday. Good location near beach, shopping and restaurants. Booking.com indicate this is a 4* hotel - its more like a 3*. Rooms is a bit worn out and the hotel could generally use a touch-up if it wants to be 4*.
Very convenient for relaxing. My room were quit good, old TV, and old furniture. It worth's the money. The exhaust toilet fan were not working, and they did not repair it even after we told the hotel staff.
Nice 4* hotel. Only stayed B&B. Food was very nice. Great selection. Fairly big room. Biggest bed I've ever seen. It must have been over 8 feet wide ! comfy as well. Well equipped gym with good range of free weights and machines.
Good quallity price ratio near the beach and the centre of the town.
Central. Friendly staff. Clean. Over-priced slow internet - a major turn-off when 20,000 kilometres from home and needing to keep up with business. Therefore, next question would be "No" if the recommendation was for those in need of good internet
Very good location There is not free internet in public areas of the hotel as it is written in the description of the hotel here at Booking.com
The whole staff spoke English, that's very good! The breakfast and dinner, which was included, was good, and you could choose between a lot of food. The spa was also nice, but not everyone there spoke English. The entertainment at the hotel stopped at around 11pm, and when it was going on, your could hear the music up to the room.
Very nice personnel. They do everything to make your stay better. They made us feel part of the family. We even got a bigger, more expensive room, because they thought it would be nicer for us with our baby. Hele aardige mensen. Ze deden alles om het ons zo prettig mogelijk te maken. We kregen zelfs ongevraagd een grotere, duurdere kamer, omdat we met onze baby reisden en zij de andere kamer te krapjes vonden. nothing
Tremendous hotel, excellent in almost every respect. Lovely rooms, efficient staff, very relaxed.
Peaceful, relaxing and very clean and comfortable The food was terrible at dinner time, brekfast and lunch were fine
Very nice and relaxing The evening entertainment
Staff very friendly, very clean, nice big modern rooms. Breakfast was possibly the best ive had outside of a European 4* hotel. You can walk to the restaurant area in 20 minutes or take a taxi for a euro or 2, otherwise nothing really near the hotel. There is construction site next door unfortunately which will likely lose the hotel business
quiet and relaxed atmosphere with excellent rooms and servcie
people very welcome some builder work next to the hotel
The cleanliness & arrangements
As opposed to the big hotels at the beach of Agadir, we liked Timoulay as a small, quiet but still comfortable hotel; the rooms are wide and clean, the food excellent; pool area is not overcrowded and the spa relaxing.
the relaxed athmosphere, proximity to the beach, friendly staff, free WiFi
Cannot think of anything in particular, balcony was nice but too small to sit on, Pool looked nice, fairly quiet room as at back, bedroom nice, 5Mins or so to beach Hotel in general was a bit strange, breakfast ok but Very basic, staff at reception unfriendly. Room could be cleaner, shower curtain etc, bathroom was old
The warm welcome and valuable treatment from the front disk manager Mr. Abdul ghani and his team jamila and yazid and others who I don't remember their names right now and the room services . the maintenance to the rooms need more attention such as lightning and the bathroom
