This Zurich hotel is about 7 minutes by tram to the city center; the tram stops right outside the hotel. The Fraumünster, Lindenhof, and University of Zurich are all about 1.5 km (0.9 mi) away.
Pros: The Staff were great!!
No fitness center, staff really didn't care to try & make our stay better.Pros: Clean roomCons: We reserved a room for 2 adults and a young child, they gave us 1 full bed, there was construction right outside our front facing 1st floor room & the maid walked in on me while I was in a towel. The worst hotel stay ever!
Cons: The room was excessively hot, no air conditioning or other way to cool it and opening the window made the street noise unbearable. Also not sufficient free parking, so I got a 40 franc fine because I didn't want to wake up at 8am.
Definitely a boutique experience - but great if you are well aware of that going into it.Pros: Didn't mind that the hotel was a bit from the center as the tram made it easy to get downtown. We were well taken care of...we got an automatic upgrade to a balcony room upon check in. The room was larger than expected and well-appointed.Cons: It's true about the lack of air conditioning, but we lucked out with the weather being not too hot.
Pros: Very clean and very friendly staff.Cons: There is no AC in the room, but the hotel provides a fan.
Pros: There was always free fruit infused water in the lobby - great because water in Switzerland is expensive. Great location, right by tram. Easy to get around. 8 min by tram to central train station.
If you are a light sleeper-ask for a room in the back. Make use of Zurich's excellent trams to visit historic and lake areas quickly.Pros: Hotel was located on the tram lines 9 and 10 which made getting downtown to the historic and lake areas very easy. Hotel was clean, modern and staff was helpful. We had a room with a balcony on the back side so it was quiet and very residential feeling.Cons: It was a little far out and there weren't many nearby places to eat. You really need to make use of the trams to get to the tourist areas.
Pros: Very modern interior design in public space and rooms. Very clean.
.Pros: Very nice. Great location. Tram just out front straight to airport and back. Also very close to main central station. Hotel clean and staff pleasant.Cons: NA
Overall a decent hotel. It is not far from the train station, but the hotel is on a hill and would be a difficult walk. Tram ride is recommended. You will also need a tram ride to get to downtown area. Supermarket is and tram stop is very close for convenience. If you are looking for a hotel with air conditioning, skip this hotel.Pros: Friendly staff, fruit infused water in reception area, nice bathroom toiletries which includes a sowing kit. Window that opens and a small electric table fan was available though (no air conditioning in our room).Cons: This hotel would have gotten a much better rating if it had air conditioning. There may be more expensive floors that has air conditioning, but I am not sure. Small room, but typical for Europe.
When checking out, staff did not realize it was prepaid via Priceline. Took several minutes for them to figure it out. No air conditioning. Wasn't a problem though during my April visit. Size was typical of European hotels.Pros: Central lication. Near tram stop. Cleanliness. Quaint.Cons: Free internet with Comfort Room but only for 24 hours.
The staff were very friendly, courteous, and responsive. The double bed was simply two singles pushed together.Pros: Location was good. Didn't find out until later that the number 10 tram goes to/from the airport and stops in front of the hotel in about 28 minutes. Our initial trip to the hotel took a little over an hour. The room was small but very clean.Cons: The room was closer related to a two star hotel. It was somewhat sparse with only one chair & one nite stand. The bathroom, although somewhat small, was adequate. Wifi was available for a cost in room but free if used in hotel room.
