Hotels near Wattay airport

Pros: Hotel has a lovely breakfast room. A nice Bar. A lovely swimming pool. Walking distance to the Mekong River restaurant row.

Pros: Luxury room, Hi-end fitness center, sauna, jaguzzi swimming pool. Very nice to stay here. Staff are very friendly.

Pros: The bed was comfortable. The hotel was very near the airport, which suited me, but not the town. There was a massage shop on site and a pool, which looked clean enough.

Cons: The hotel in general is basic, and I do feel it is overpriced, especially for Laos.The staff barely spoke a word of english. They were friendly, but very slow and difficult to find at times. The internet service was unreliable, but the worst thing was that the electricity cut out completely half way through the day. No air-con or fans were working, and the toilet didn't even flush. The staff had no idea when they would be reconnected. I had no option but to leave and decided to go to the airport early, which was hot and turned out not to have wifi either. Not a lot of fun.

Pros: Staff and Manager were very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Pool and exercise room were nice. We will continue coming here.

Cons: Not many restaurants close but hotel has restaurant as does another place two doors down the road.

Cons: Must use tuk tuk tuks to get to downtown restaurants and shopping, 15-20 minutes away once price negotiated.

Cons: Location a bit far from city center. Restaurant could be set up in quieter location on second floor for dinner rather than having to eat in basement club with loud music.

Pros: Hotel in proximity to the airport (max 10 min ride). Complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Good sized rooms and bathrooms (hygiene articles are provided). If you can, ask for a room with river view or higher than the 3rd floor!

Cons: We stayed in a room on the the 2nd floor without river view. It turned out to have no view at all. Seems as if they had planned to have a balcony, but it turned out to be a kind of confined space with high walls which could not be accessed other than via the window (no door). - Restaurant rather drab and presentation of breakfast no very appetizing, for lunch and dinner we went to the Highlander Bar 50 m to the right. - Rather far from the city centre (forget walking - tuktuk will charge 15.000 kip p.p. to go there). - Not much to see in the neighborhood.

Pros: Very nice buffet breakfast and the deck that looked over the mekong for breakfast was very serene.

Cons: The hotel & staff were lovely but it was advertised that the hotel picked up the guest at the airport. We booked but the hotel shuttle was not waiting for me. It did not come till I found someone to call the hotel and pick me up.

Cons: The hotel is very poor facility. I stayed for two night and No hot water in a shower room.

Pros: I like the restaurant patio view overlooking the Mekong River. Unfortunately when it rains the patio section is all wet and unusable.

Cons: The bathroom drainage could be improved.

Pros: I thought it was great value for money. I like the little touches, such as the free shuttle service to the airport (which I wasn't expecting, and which was much appreciated).
