Pros: View at breakfast, location, beautiful gardens, the lake, the spa, the whole hotel is very classy and well decorated
Cons: Would've been nice to have a view of the lake for 240 euros, we were facing the tennis courts and didn't have a balcony, having to wait in line to order eggs, the hot food on the buffet didn't taste great, room and bathroom were small, front desk seemed short staffed for a Saturday

You can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, body wraps, or Ayurvedic treatments, and The Brasserie, one of 3 restaurants, serves light fare. Pros: The staff are wonderful - ver helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are very good - nice variety of selections. The location is great. The rooms are kept spotless.
Cons: Only one complaint - the mattresses are comfortable, but the beds are made with a bottom sheet and a down comforter. This was too warm for me. It would be nice to get a top sheet or light blanket.

Pros: This hotel has it all - gorgeous decor throughout and not one detail overlooked. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the room it's in is a stunner. Our room was massive and decorated beautifully. The staff are all top notch. We just loved this hotel. This was the last hotel we stayed in on a two week trip to England, Scotland and Ireland where we stayed at five hotels and this one took the cake.

Cons: Bar menu had no sandwiches available after 5pm.
Pros: Booked our one night stay about 6 months earlier through the internet after an extensive search of the area. We were not disappointed. While we booked a simple double room for the night we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a jacuzzi suite. The location offered excellent access to all Killarney attractions as well as the downtown area. Unable to comment on the food since we never ate here but prices on the menu looked rather steep. Our travels brought us throughout Ireland only staying in hotels for one night at a time but our stay at the Victoria House Hotel was regarded as one of the more pleasurable. Would highly recommend it to others.
Pros: As the title suggests, my review will be a bit skewed. We paid about $119 for a standard double then got surprised with a free upgrade. The suite we stayed in was beautifully appointed, large and comfortable. It included just about any convince you could think of including worldwide electric outlets. And the jacuzzi tub was big enough for three people. The location was perfect for exploring Killarney, and having dinner in the bar is an inexpensive and tasty option. If I stayed here again, I might pay the extra amount for the upgrade to the spa room.
Cons: The thing close to a only negative would be that there's no elevator. Not really a big deal though since it's only three two floors above ground.

Pros: WE loved the surroundings, in the park We found the walk around the lake to the cafe a beautiful and manageable journey. We did take bikes as well one day. Within a short drive were lovely sights, including views of the valley and waterfalls. Resort had lovely spa , and morning breakfast included in our stay was delicious. Can't say enough about staff- Chris , Teddy as our concierges, Julie at front desk and Mauve in Yew Tree restaurant.
Cons: The spa was moved to a new location which was quite a bit smaller, but as long as weather is good, you prefer to be outside anyway.

Pros: Our time at The Cahernane House Hotel was all too brief. It would have been nice to have had a longer time to savor the elegance of this lovely hotel, to walk the peaceful grounds, sit on the garden patio, stroll into Killarney and back, lounge in the quaint Cellar Bar in the evening. Additionally, our room was spacious, the bed cozy and comfy, and all was spotless. The continental breakfast was plenty and served under sparkling crystal chandeliers. We had the option of ordering a hot meal if that suited. The staff was gracious and helpful. The entire experience was just what we had hoped for!

I had a wonderful time here, thanks to Joan and her staff, and Killarney is lovely--a must-see for all travelers!
Pros: Joan, the owner of this B&B, is WONDERFUL. She is the best hostess we met in Ireland, and she's thought of everything. She is also a great cook! She goes above and beyond to make each guest's stay wonderful.
Cons: The only item that might be concerning to future travelers was that the hot water does not last very long. If you're traveling with more than one person, it seems best to take showers at different times of day, or one will end up taking a cold shower.
