Beds too stiff, tv outdated with no casting capability, even selling movies- is this the 90’s. Staff were great, even sent me a bucket of ice, it was clean but outdated compared to other grand hyatts

Stayed here as a family and the Grand Hyatt Taipei ended up being a key reason we enjoyed the city so much. Excellent location in Xinyi, easy access to transit, and a very comfortable base for exploring. Unbelievable hotel! Great amenities. The hotel has 7 high end restaurants (a little over priced) but convenient. The location was perfect as it sat between two subway stations and provided easy walks to some of the city's attractions.

The hotel is centrally located with the Taipei 101 just at the rear of the hotel. Prior to covid, I was allowed to use both the gym and the spa/shower. However now they have restricted the spa and you must pay a fee to use. I always enjoyed the spa and cold bath after working out. With no bath in the room, taking a cold bath now isn’t possible unfortunately.

No tissue box in the room, I had to walk to the bathroom every time I need some tissues. Carpet stains were obvious in a few places, though mostly was clean.
