Marriot isla verde was a nice surprise. It is beach front and the pools and spa are nice and clean. The fitness center is a bit dated but has all the essentials to still get a good workout in. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and tidy and with comfortable beds and pillows. We did het to try Sirena restaurant inside. It was good but the service there is quite slow. We attempted to eat there before heading to the airport, we ordered soup and salad and we waited over 30 min and had to eventually leave and eat at the airport. Overall this stay was a wonderful and would come back with my family. Great hotel for business and leisure. 6 min drive to the airport.

2.0 Poor
So the hotel views are as advertised, all very pretty. Unfortunately, where it really matters - quality of sleep and quality of service, this hotel falls flat. I can accept that it is a resort RIGHT next to the airport. Yes, you will hear planes all night long. I expected as much. What I didn’t expect was the absolutely terrible beds. Hard as a rock. Worst I’ve experienced in recent memory at any hotel. I’ve slept on camp mattresses that are more comfortable. To make it worse, the sheets are scratchy and stiff. Yes, you’ll get hit left and right with fees. All that’s in the fine print and I expected. But if you think you’re getting a true resort experience for those extra fees, you’re sorely mistaken. We made the mistake of going to the outdoor bar area for a casual dinner as a family. Having spent a week in Puerto Rico, we came to expect that things move at a slightly slower pace. We did not expect it would take a full hour for them to make three pizzas. Those in our party that ordered non-pizza items had them brought done as they were made (no one getting their food at the same time) so by the time the pizzas arrived, half of us had finished eating 30 minutes prior. The manager did offer to comp us a drink (an Arnold Palmer) and then they proceeded to take 15 minutes to bring that out as well. Other not-high points to consider: - the room has very poor air circulation. If you’re sharing a room, half will be baking and the other half will be freezing - also, if sharing a room, know that if your partner goes up to use the bathroom during the night, you WILL be woken up because for some inexplicable reason, the bathroom door has frosted glass in it. So turning on the bathroom light floods the bedroom with light as well - the beach is underwhelming by comparison to many of the other beaches we saw in PR. - they claim the parking is $25 a night. We were charged $43. Maybe there’s some super-secret trick to not being overcharged. At 4AM when rushing to catch a flight, I couldn’t figure it out. - the included body wash reeks of what can only be described as “teenage boy Axe Body Spray”. It smells so very strongly of men’s cologne. Best part of our stay was checking out and being rid of this place. Thankfully we only stayed one night. If we had booked for a whole week, we’d probably have been hunting for a new place to stay after that first night. It’s 100% not worth the convenience in proximity to the airport. Find another place to stay.

Pros:The staff was so friendly and helpful. They were also very accommodating. The rooms were clean. We received a free drink voucher and a $5 voucher for the casino.
Cons:The location is not the best. It is isolated from other hotels, there were a few restaurants to choose from, you can hear the planes taking off from all parts of the hotel. The surrounding buildings are unpleasant to look at.

Pros:The room was very spacious for a family of 4. Food options are good as well with a couple of restaurants. A good stopping point for a day if you are on your way elsewhere. Very close to beach.
Cons:Casino in hotel means that there's always a buzz in the lobby area. Though it is set apart so was not a big deal.

Cons:Remodeling job in progress above the first room they gave us, the noise was disturbing, room was outdated. The second room they gave us, after our complaint was on a higher floor and recently updated. Why not gave a clean, updated and silent room on first instance?
