Hotels near Thunder Bay airport

Pros: Location, cleanliness, measures in place

Cons: We often stay at the Hampton Inn in Thunder Bay but this time we stayed for 4 nights and the bed had the most uncomfortable mattress I ever slept on. We always get the Deluxe King bed and usually things are good.

Pros: Clean.

Pros: We loved staying here while in Thunder Bay for a family funeral. It was a lovely home away from home. The suite we had was perfect for our needs. It was quiet even on the weekend. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Such a good deal.

Pros: The rating may be 2 1/2 stars but I would say that it was better, cleaner and better accommodation than Hilton hotels I have stayed in in NYC, Gatineau and Las Vegas. The staff exceeded expectations . I would return any time.

Pros: very clean hotel. Definitely taking this outbreak seriously. Breakfast was even prepared for you and wrapped to take with you for cleanliness. Friendly staff. Check in was fast, check out was faster. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Really felt like they cared about our comfort. The quality of this place made me feel like it was a very high end hotel. Their breakfast was spectacular. Super comfortable room and bed.

Cons: It was located a bit far from downtown. I didn't think I was still in Thunder bay actually.

Pros: The hotel was really nice and had a balcony. We stayed only one night but wish we had found it because we definitely would have stayed both nights. Free breakfast was a definite a unexpected bonus.

Cons: We ate in the restaurant and the poor waitress were swamped. We are at the bar which now in hindsight was not the best idea. Breakfast was delicious but never got a coffee refill .

Cons: The carpet in our room on first floor was musty smelling and damp, as was the washroom. More of s 3 star hotel.

Pros: Beautiful location surrounded by green space, perfect for the dog. Patio door to outside. Great meal at the hotel restaurant. Good staff. Well kept building.

Pros: It was clean and they offered a lot (compared to the other hotels in the area). Hot tub and pool, workout room and the hotel grounds (walking paths, flower gardens and the view of the mountains)

Cons: It would be better if a walkway was in place to ease access to the expressway if as a guest you wanted to walk to any restaurants or shopping. As it is a person needs to walk around to Superstore and exit to the sidewalk at the gas bar.

Cons: Bad lighting when entering the room, only switches for the doorway area. As I went into the room to turn on more lights Fell down the stairs in the room and twisted my ankle. ROOM HAS TWO LEVELS AND DUE TO LIGHTING DIDNT SEE THE STAIRS Nice feature but it's a safety hazard. Restautaunt area has the same thing. These stairs should be under or side lights at floor level for visibility and safety. Staff were great but I feel I should have been compensated with a meal or discounted the room, something. Liked the hotel but concerned about safety.

Cons: Keymaker had failed hence the only staff on duty had to open rooms using master key. The air conditioner in room was "fixed" by reception person climbing on a chair and "jiggling" the wall connection. The carpets in the halls are filthy. We came to breakfast area at approximately 8:58 a.m. as we were under impression that breakfast was served until 9:30. The attendant gruffly warned us that we had better hurry if we wanted anything because she was closing up and proceeded to do so. This hotel is understaffed and is quickly running downhill, with the (owner?) milking it for cash as opposed to trying to grow the business.,

Pros: The owner was super friendly and upgraded us for free to help to keep us in a quieter room, however, there was a couple of hairs in one of the beds (it seemed like the sheets were washed though and these just fell on after)

Pros: Hotel was quite, clean, comfortable, and very affordable. Hotel is 2 blocks away from Walmart, best buy, and a few other large stores.

Cons: The only thing that I didn't like was that the hallways lighting was dim, other than that great place to stay!

Cons: Upon arrival there were several people gathered at the front door smoking. The hallways had a very strong deodorant smell and the room was about the smallest I have ever seen.

Cons: Very dated hotel with a poor attempt at an update with modern linens and wall coverings. The old bones of the hotel still show through especially in the bathrooms although clean I had to climb over the toilet to get in the shower witch had no exhaust fan and only a window to open,no big deal except opening the window a crack resulted in a hurricane like frozen breeze and filled my room with steam.
