Pros: We were very impressed with these cabins - the location is pretty much walking distance to everything, which is nice. The cabins are beautifully appointed, with every amenity in the bathroom, including a shower that converts to a rainforest shower head. The kitchen contains a small fridge, microwave, stove top, and electric kettle, along with plates, cutlery, etc. Beds are comfy, wifi is good, and there is a cable TV. We were able to park our tall vehicle inside a security gate, which is always a priority for us. The manager was extremely responsive, even allowing us to check in at 10:30pm when we had to take a late ferry from Porvenir.
Cons: The cabin does not have an oven, which we usually love to use when we stay in places, but we understand why. The only other issue was very minor, and involved a very sensitive motion-sensor light that kept going on during the night when windy, which shone into our bedroom window.

Pros: Quiet location, good shower with plenty of hot water, good buffet breakfast
Cons: Creepy, very unsound, stairs and floors make a cracking sound, you can hear the guests next room as if they were directly talking to you, and even as they are speaking in a normal tone of voice, not loud. Some of the staff are not trained enough to deal with extendend bookings appropriately. There are a lack of plates and forks at the breakfast table, I had to go and fetch some everyday in the kitchen myself, because staff was not available. The billing process is insidious and devious, they charge more if you pay in chilean pesos than if you paid with US dollars, because according to them, they have to charge us non residents foreigners a 19% sales tax if we pay in chilean pesos, but not if we pay in US dollars. Now I fully know for a fact that this is pure nonsense, because in reality visitors non residents do not have to pay the sales tax in Chile even if you pay in chilean pesos. I know this for sure because I stayed in lots of other chilean hotels in the past 50 days and never had to pay the 19% sales tax because I am a foreign non resident, and even as I paid in Chilean pesos everytime no other hotel/hostal has ever charged me extra for that. They also charged me US $20.00 extra to wash six items of my clothing, some of them underwear and socks, a ridiculous high amount Then they made the paying process even more cumbersome, I had to fill out an extra form in order to be able to pay in US dollars. Staff should be more adequately trained and ask guests if they wish to stay longer before they rent the room to somebody else.
