Hotels near George airport

Pros: The room was in a nice setting by the pool. Spacious and well equipped. Convenient location near N2 and George city centre.

Cons: Room smelt and appeared to be damp (had rained heavily onto thatched room). Didn't feel very secure.

Pros: The owner was pleasant and the location was convenient. The setting was quite attractive.

Cons: The whole place was a little messy and the jacuzzi was dirty.

Pros: The rooms were comfortable, clean and good value for money. It was an easy drive for us to go to KKNK with the bonus of driving through the passs everyday

Pros: Staff very friendly even though i arrived an hour and a half early. Manager/owner noel very welcoming even though he was busy.Would stay again.

Cons: The breakfast choice was limited and changes not permitted. Also the rooms lacked a chair.

Pros: I liked the complete package of luxury, friendliness of the staff and the owner in a beautiful environment and in close proximity of several major attractions. Also liked the fact that it is close to all the shops! Really felt so at home and the surprise champagne breakfast on Christmas morning was such a wonderful surprise. Really felt at home and will most definitely return.

Pros: The lay-out of the rooms, pool and outside tables and chairs make it cosy yet private. Staff are friendly and helpfull.

Cons: Decor should be "French" instead of the "Big Five".

Cons: One evening after dinner, we found our room door wide open. No one could seem to tell me whether Kayak had charged my room or whether the hotel would charge my card. On checkout day, when we returned to the room to get our luggage after breakfast, the rom keys were already deactivated. We phoned for someone to come but no one did so I had to go to the lobby to get a new key. On the way to the lobby I asked the porters to send a golf cart to get our luggage and to get our car but this took a long time.

Pros: Big, comfortable room with balcony overlooking golf course. Hotel was just off the main road and well sign-posted. Good selection of food for breakfast with special selection for children. Buffet-style evening meal was also good and reasonably priced for a hotel.

Cons: I was not given a room golf course facing.Although I had proof of booking there was some confusion regarding my booking.I Was given a suite over looking thr front of the hotel.

Cons: Lots! It is not a 4 star hotel as advertised by any means. Breakfast was fine but do not eat in the restaurant in the evening as the food is inedible. No lifts so a porter is essential.

Pros: The room we stayed in as a family was very spacious. Which made it very comfortable for my toddler to walk around and enjoy the space. I also liked the seperate tv/lounge area. It was an amazing time staying at the hotel and will definitely stay at the Protea Hotel King George again.

Cons: I found the breakfast to be very expensive R135 for a fried egg and a cup of coffee!! Also the fact that there is no internet availability in the room is a bit of an inconvenience.

Cons: we booked under the impression that there was an attached restaurant-there was but it was shut,+there were no others in the nearby vicinity.

Pros: left alone but always somebody on hand to help or to attend to a request.

Pros: Although we had problems with a broken windon in our room at the outset, Udi the owner put it right personally. He moved us to a much larger unit at no extra expense. We had a family celebration at the wonderful restuarant and everyone commented on the prompt service and excellent food. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner here and we would recommend the Alpine Inn unreservedly.
