Major waiting time for pick up. The car was handed over without inspection because of which I had issues driving as the wipers were faulty even though the car only had 2700 miles on it. There is no way to approach them if you book thru kayak or qeeq and they do not entertain any third party insurance that you may purchase thru there platforms and insist that you spend 3 times on hertz own insurance Also, hertz does not remove the exorbitant block they put on your card immediately. My block amount was more than the rental amount and I am still to receive the credit despite the bill being settled and 4 days being passed It's better to book directly from a car company after reading all terms and conditions rather than booking thru platforms which offer no information support or assistance in your tripReviewed 20 Jul 2024

Staff was very friendly and interested to help. We reserved a Volvo XC90 and we were given an XC60. We pointed it out to the service desk. They acknowledged the error, but said that they couldn’t help because we prepaid and that we would need to contact customer service. Customer Service said that they needed approval from the location. I am assuming that I will not receive an adjustment. That causes me not to book through Kayak. Additionally, they charged me £212 for minor scratches on a wheel.Reviewed 24 Jun 2024

Car was good. No information given on what to do to get through exit toll booth as non ticket was provided. No personnel present for car return. Not sure what to go except just leave the car and hope all was ok.Reviewed 24 Sep 2023

The new car didn't have ANY USB chargers... only USB-C. That was bloody annoying for a new rental car. That ridiculous system for checking how many points you have on your licence is also both unique and antiquated. I know it's not a Hertz specific problem... but FFS!!! The staff member did help in the end and offer an alternative. The car was great and at a good price.Reviewed 4 Jan 2022

Pros:New car. Lots of features.Cons:No one around to explain features of the car. Had to return the car two weeks early due to covid 19. Did not get a partial refund for those two weeks. Was contacted by P.R. person when I gave them a poor review who seemed like he might give me a partial refund but I believe they are now in bankruptcy proceedings so doubt I will see it.Reviewed 30 Apr 2020
