I’m going as low as possible for the customer service the lack of knowledge constantly being told one thing but it’s something else. I scheduled a pick up for 10:30 I’m there early they couldn’t get me in the car I wanted to- they wouldn’t let me just pay Expedia another $100 to upgrade to what the site said the cost were. Was told to just cancel it and re book WELL I LISTENED TO THEMAND BECAUSE THEY DIDNT GET ME I. A CAR BEFOTE THE 10:30 time entered to pick up they DIDNT REFIND ME AND CHARGED ME FOR THE 2nd and this was for a month rental on top of renting from them the last 2.5 months straight- THATS HOW THEY TREAT YOU GOOD LUCKReviewed 1 Sept 2026

The dropoff location was closed the whole day of the dropoff, so I was charged more than 7 times the original rental fee for failing to know that the rental I initially paid for was bogus. Hertz agreed to refund the charges after 6 hours of extra driving and time trying reach customer service, but they lied and refund only a fraction. It took another round of CS to get the rest of the refund. It hasn't been finished yet.Reviewed 12 Aug 2026

Terrible at car pick up. The online price was not honored $119.56 at the pickup counter of Hertz. The Associate said I was supposed to use the app to secure that price, and he could no longer off it to me. I was livid. But also needed to get to my destination on time. I was charged $130.02 instead. This is not how you maintain a loyal customer base or good experience feedback. I thought Hertz was giving me a great deal on your plat form, but I was misled.
