It was a terrible experience! The agent upgraded my reservation to the next level up, but the vehicle was already taken when I went to pick i at up! I went back to the desk and got another vehicle which was terrible! It was a death trap! The blinkers and blind spots did not work when I got on the road. They would glitch and not stay on. There was vibration across the SUV when doing 65 mph. The vehicle was a silver Jeep Cherokee. To top it all off, I had cash with me of over $200 which I forgot in the vehicle that was never refunded and supposedly never found. Waited in line over an hour. Rep misleadingly told use extra charges listed (not what we prepaid), where on the form because system puts there just as optional in case, but our bill would be the prepaid amount. Turned out not optional and we were charged. I have typically enjoyed Budget rental experiences, but the late night rental experience at Orlando airport was terrible - huge wait and I should have not trusted the lone reps strange sounding explanation on agreement - but we didn't want to make the others in line wait even longer - so mistakenly shrugged and accepted the situation. Budget and Avis (same company) rented the same car out of the same spot to two different people. I was the one that had to go all the way back to the airport terminal to get it sorted out. They got me a different car, which only had 3/4 tank of gas when I started it. All these problems were resolved by a few friendly customer service personnel, but all of this was avoidable with some conscientious workers and appropriately integrated systems.Reviewed 2 Mar 2026

Gave me a car that immediately gave a notice of urgent need for an oil change, which is already a big inconvenience. However, when I stopped by the closest Budget location, they said I didn’t need to change vehicles because the oil change wasn’t as urgent as it stated. I was taking a 100+ mile trip and would’ve preferred to not worry about a potential problem on my ride. The car made it fine, but the customer service experience was not idea — especially not after paying a very high rental price of $130 for 24 hours.Reviewed 8 Feb 2026

Only one employee was working the counter at MCO, while there was a massive lineup of customers when I was waiting to pickup my rental. I waited for over 2-hours in the evening. A second employee arrived just as I reached the front of the line. The car’s engine light was on when I picked it up, and when I asked the garage attendant about swapping a vehicle, they said we’d have to go to the desk inside the terminal again - my family and I could not even think about spending more time trying to get on the road so we just drove away with the engine light on in our original vehicle. The fastbreak account option seemed like it may be a good solution to skipping the lineup, but the booking had to be made through that account and I didn’t know about it until it was too late.
