The line to pick up the rental car at 12:30 AM was long - the wait to get the paperwork was about 30 min. There were I think 4 or 5 people working which was good, but at 12:30 am its tough to wait a half hour for car pickup.

Terrible, I would never recommend it. They givie a rate, and then charge you whatever they can extra. In this case was a Platepass cgarge for $12.99 per rental day, if you try to disregard it the become aggressive and rude and trheat you with a 15$ penalty for every single toll you go trough. Cars have high mileage and noises, needed to go to exchange the first car they gave me.

I got a rental for one week while My Car was in the shop. The first ride till I got the tire fell off the rim… they charged me almost $600 for that. They also made me file a claim with my insurance. I got the next rental and it needed a serious oil change to the point where it stalled on me while driving. Took the tow company almost 6 hours to get to me, very disappointed

The only complaint I have about the rental we got was that the wiper blades were awful & it rained every day we were there. Other then that, the car did it's job. The pick up & drop off were easy. The shuttle to & from the airport was fine. But, beware of the price. When it was all said & done, ot cost me double my quoted price with all the extras & service this & thats. The rental for the week cost more than my hotel! Sort of a rip off, but we needed a vehicle.

Desk clerk refused to give us the car reserved (we saw several of them in the lot on our way out), tried to upsell a larger model, said our luggage wouldn't fit in it (SUV), etc. Finally I said we just want the car we reserved and he let us go, but the $$ was higher than originally reserved.

The price was right. The car was an older model. The car needed maintenance and was never done. We had a flat tire notice and thus happened back in July. But nothing was done apparently. The car was not safe and it spoiled our vacation with lack of confidence in the car for use and the tire issue. So disappointing.

Entire process a scam. Three people in front of me in line were also unsuccessful in getting the company to honor their reservation. I was told that I couldn’t pick up my car (even though I paid in advance) because the magnetic strip on my credit card wouldnt work in their broken machine. They refused to type the numbers in manually, use my chip, use another card, or use Apple Pay. I have Used the magnetic strip on my credit card at with other vendors before and after the interaction. I left this location questioning if they ever had a rental available for me in the first place, and if they were just trying to turn me away. The person before me was told they can’t pick up their reserved car (which they also paid in advance for) because they didn’t have a plane ticket departing from their drop off location. This company takes your money with a deposit and then refuses to honor their commitments or refunds. This is clearly something that happens frequently, as all of the associates were combative and appeared to be prepared for an issue with every guest that approached. I have rented cars countless times in my life and I have never experienced anything like I have with dollar/thrifty. If you continue to accept reservations for cars at this location, you will continue to get customer complaints, refund demands, and disputed credit card transactions.

They advertised that their cars were clean but upon picking up the seat there were two dirty masks, one of which had a lipstick stain on it, an orange and popcorn on the seat. This is Hertz' idea of clean? It's an embarrassment. I have a picture to prove it if interested or if they want to improve on their idea of cleanliness. It's hard to believe Hertz actually had a sticker on the car trumpeting how proud they are with their cleanliness.

Prices were jacked up mich higher than normal. Staff offered me a small SUV over the sedan I originally reserved but it turned out to be a lousy bumpy ride, intolerable at highway speeds due to the vibration at 75mph and greater. On the plus side, it didn't break down

We had reserved a Toyota Camry. The service agent told us he did not have one available. He said he would upgrade us to a mid-size SUV. He gave us a relatively new GMC Terrain. That vehicle had gear selection push and pull buttons in a row at the lowest point in the centre stack below the infotainment system. These were difficult to reach and very awkward to use. I’m 63 and have driven many, many different vehicles in my life, including race cars, and this one was by far the most awkward and uncomfortable vehicle ever! Typical GM plastic surfaces in the drivers cabin as well…tsk, tsk GM.

very good car. Very long queue at pickup (Hertz and Sixt had no queue). Seems that everyone took a long time because they were being pressured into buying extras. I was offered "full insurance", although supposedly had prepaid this, without clear explanation, and other extras (full tank, tolls which i barely used). Paid way more than expected. Couldn't argue after long flight and wait. Will definitely never rent from Budget in Orlando again. Likely to avoid Budget overall, and Kayak if it leaves me open to extras. Wrote to Budget asking to at least explain charges, but they just told me it was all as per the (incomprehensible) receipt.

My wife and I travelled from Ireland to Florida three weeks ago. We made our reservation through Hertz a week before we travelled, and were told multiple times by multiple people that everything was fine. Fast forward to arrival in Florida, and we were denied our reservation due to a technicality that none had mentioned in our initial booking. Instead of kindness and empathy, we were treated with a cold and indifferent 'sorry, it's the system, nothing we can do, have a nice day and good luck'. To add insult to injury, our booking was given away to another customer right there in front of us. No tact or consideration. Our metaphorical a***s were saved by another company that was able to work with us and our situation, and to *them*, we are grateful.

Thrifty was great! Our only concerns were as follows: 1) the line to pickup was very long compared to all the other rental companies 2) the rep at the counter spoke softly and didn't do a good job explaining what we were paying for Other than that, prices were good, rep was friendly, the vehicle was wonderful, and we would definitely book again.

The staff was FAST. I was really grateful. Especially on the way back home. To be able.to drop off, check out, be on a shuttle and out the door to the airport in an expedient manner was wonderful.

The car was really ....worn. The gas tank was half full and we had a long drive. I was asked to walk around the car and take pictures of.the scratches and dents (I think as proof?) Which I never had been asked before. There was a lot. Its banged up. There was no windshield wiper fluid and the horn, I discovered, didnt work.

Pros:

Shuttle van was quick in both directions. Three people available at check made it quick. The Elantra we rented drove well and had great air conditioning.

Cons:

For the money, it was a great deal. The car isn’t brand new, but we didn’t rent it for the car show, just reliable and cheap transportation. We would definitely use them again.

Car wasn’t ready at 1am when we went to pick up. Additional charges made the rental expensive for the poor service. The car wasn’t full of gas and that was not accurately reflected in paperwork. Took forever for shuttle to get us from the airport. The customer service was laughable.

The most painful difficult car rental experience in my entire life! The location is outside and far from the airport. We took a Wally Park shuttle to get there. There were two agents at the counter in the Advantage office. Each talking to a customer trying to sell them odd items. it took 45 minutes for us in the line and they didn’t even acknowledge our presence. When I asked them how much more I should wait they said as much as it takes! When we got to the counter, the agent told us that we have to agree to give $750 deposit and give them our utility bill to prove that we are the resident of the state!! I’ve never seen a rental car company, asking for utility bill and $750 deposit. Then he started asking questions about my ethnicity and race. I reminded him that these are unacceptable racist questions and then he started raising his voice and saying he doesn’t want to give me any service and I have to leave and he’s going to call the police if I don’t leave the facility and I welcome the idea and I said yes, let’s call the police so we can explain to them how you’re treating a woman and then he said no I don’t want to call the police, and yelled get out of this building, So disrespectful, and insulting, Pure abusive, just because of my race and the fact that I was a woman! I’ve never had such a terrible experience if KAYAK introduces companies like that, I will stop using KAYAK after 18 years, not only me, but my entire family will not use KAYAK ever again. I felt threatened, and very unsafe. I felt abused and I Left the building to get a car to go back to CMO airport and rent another car from another rental company which treated me with respect and didn’t ask for $750 deposit or utility bill. Shame on advantage and shame on KAYAK that made me have such a terrible experience!

Honestly, most rental car places are pretty similar. Customer service and the efficiency with which one can pick up a car and then drop it off makes the major difference. At Advantage MCO, the service was superlative. The CSR named Dora has repeatedly helped me through the process in an efficient and friendly manner - she is a gem. I own and have owned several companies. I would hire her in a second, if I could do so.

Advantage is the best place to rent a car in the Orlando airport area. They are slightly off property so we have to take a shuttle bus. Usually it’s pretty quick, but sometimes it can take 15 to 20 minutes to catch the shuttle bus. That said, once you get your car, which is usually pretty quick experience,, you’ll have very, very easy access to major roadways getting out of the area. This is a really big benefit compared to trying to serpentine your way out of MCO. The price was also excellent. Customer service was very good.

I recently rented a car from Ace car rental orlando airport during my trip to Orlando and, unfortunately, I must report that my experience was far from satisfactory.Upon arrival, I learned that the rental place was a 10-minute shuttle ride from the airport. This wouldn't have been an issue if not for the rental shuttle service. The driver was notably rude and seemed to have a limited understanding of English, which made communication frustratingly difficult. This was the first red flag that hinted at the service quality I was about to receive.The process at the rental office didn't improve things. Despite explaining that my basic insurance was already covered through my credit card, I was coerced into taking additional insurance Speaking of the booking, the total cost of the rental was another major point of contention. The amount I ended up paying was more than double the price I had initially signed up for on their website. This lack of transparency in pricing was not only misleading but also put a significant dent in my travel budget.Had I been made aware of these issues – the poor shuttle service, the aggressive upselling of insurance, and the misleading pricing – I could have made a more informed decision and likely chosen a different company for my car rental needs.In summary, my experience with Ace car rental orlando airport was far from pleasant, highlighted by poor customer service and a lack of transparency. Only issue was getting to the place from the airport. There was supposed to be regular shuttles but they were really slow. We ended up taking a taxi ($20). Otherwise everything was smooth. I would rent from them again but just be aware of the shuttle issue.

They didn’t give offer me the car I prereserved. I reserved a sedan and they gave me keys to an suv. It was okay, I wasn’t going to complain however the suv had noticeable damage and was rather irritating to drive as it kept steering towards the right. The car seemed salvaged. It also had signs of flood damage. Water stains everywhere in the interior and dings in the exterior. I left the car in the same condition I had picked it up in.

The offsite car rental has a bus that only brings customers there every half hour and it’s only located in terminal a and B. If you arrive in terminal C as I did, you need to take several additional steps in order to rent the car. I will not be renting from this company in the future.

Finally, I talked with a driver from parking service adjacent to Easirent and he told me that they had closed up shop an hour and a half ago. I ended up having to get a car from Alamo. NextCar is a huge rip-off: it advertises a cheap rental price, then jacks up the price for add-ons the customer often has no choice but to accept: 1) Florida residents pay MORE, and they don't get "unlimited mileage" (per the advertisement), 2) the rental agency forces the customer to provide ACCESS to their car insurance website (password AND login), or provide the full documents of your auto insurance policy. The auto insurance card won't do: you have to have THE FULL POLICY document with you. 3) If your own insurance has a large deductible, then you HAVE to buy the agency's expensive insurance. The upper limit is $500. Otherwise, they take out $500 from your credit card which they say they'll pay back after 30 days--just long enough to incur a charge of INTEREST on the payment.l 4) If you don't pay the agency in advance for tolls, you can't pay cash at the toll booth. The rental agency toll device will trigger if you drive a toll road, and you'll pay $14 regardless of whether you paid in cash. All of this is "negotiated" when you go pick up your car, and the negotiations can take more than AN HOUR, so wait time and long lines are ridiculously, maddeningly long. It was a horror.

We waited over an hour for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport and take us to the rental car place. We ended up having to pay a cab driver to take us to the rental car place. I didn’t realize I needed to bring the declarations page from my auto insurance company in order to decline the rental car insurance. It added stress to an already stressful process😒

Awful experience. Upon arrival in Orlando airport, there was no pick up instructions on my confirmation email, the phone givem for their HQ didnt connect and after navigating through their website, I found a local office number. I called and was asked for my name and confirmation number, the employee verified me before sending the shuttle. When the shuttle dropped me at the Nextcar address, i walked in to the open counter and was told that my reservation had been cancelled because I was more than 1 hour beyond my reservation start time. I had to call an Uber XL for wife, two infants, teo car seats (9 pieces of luggage total) back to the airport and make a reservation with an airport based renral company. Avoid using Nextcar at all costs.

Booked rental online for a one way trip from FL to NJ - tried to use my debit card to pay, but they don't accept it for one way...they do not accept cash either. I missed reading the fine print about this, so be careful or you'll get stranded at MCO if you don't have a major credit card. The employees there deal with bullshit every day I'm sure because they were both grumpy.

The pricing was utterly "un-transparent". CarRental8.com charged us $277 for the week. But, in the fine print (though without specifying the amount), it turned out that OC Car Rental had other charges -- to the tune of $222 (a $20/day charge for "mandatory supplementary liability insurance" -- despite the fact that I am covered by my regular auto insurance - and a $35 "car rental center fee" and a $25 "enhanced disinfecting cleaning fee" and a $14 "surcharge"). This is truly despicable behavior by a car rental agency, and I do plan to report it to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

Our flight was delayed by several hours and we were still in the air at the time of our rental. When we finally landed and got in touch with the company, I was told that my reservation that I had already paid for had been canceled since we hadn't picked up the car on time (due to something completely beyond my control.) Now I'm fighting to even get a refund and we didn't have a car to use on vacation. Run the other direction from this company.

I reserved this as a referral from Kayak to Rentalcars.com. Their website, along with the confirmation email stated a "Total Cost" of $111.72. When I picked up the car, the agent presented me with "additional local costs" amounting to an additional $71.18. This included an unheard of "Pickup Fee" for $10.00 and "Dropoff Fee" for $10.00. I have never been charged these from any rental agency, anywhere in the world prior to this. None of these "additional local" charges were listed anywhere before pickup. The contract stated "Total Cost" of $111.72, and that's what I expected. In addition, the $250.00 "security deposit" has not been refunded or credited to my credit card as of yet. I have tried all morning to reach the agency to inquire about this. They answered only after about 30 minutes of putting me on hold. The representative could not give me any reasonable answers about the additional charges, but said the security deposit would take 5-10 business days. I will monitor that. Please remove Global Car Rental from your list of agencies. They have committed what I believe is a classic case of Bait and Switch.

Orlando: explanation of car controls was marginal. Address and phone provided on initial information provided by KAYAK was inaccurate. I attempted to return car at address provided and the address was incorrect. Had go search for Global address and it was about 20 mile drive. Ultimately recognized location. Good thing I had plenty of time before flight. Fee for rental was half what actual rental was. No choice but to go ahead with the rental since Global was off site with no alternative rental agencies close. Boston: rental reservation with Thrifty was canceled before rental date. Thrifty was not considering "walk in" rentals of gas vehicles. Was offered an EV which I took. Would be reluctant to use KAYAK again.

Pickup took tom long.need more shuttles instead of waiting 20 minutes to get a shuttle and then a long drive to the pickup location. Was waiting before the gentleman after cut in and the staff didn’t say anything so I had to wait another 15minutes. Then it was my turn and they said I could leave without full coverage which i had to purchase extra. I knew i could use my personal wasn’t asked if i wanted to use that. They said yes you can and they need my ID card with my full declaration page.Couldn’t find my declaration page so they stole $200 dollar for the insurance from me. Never every again

Pick up from airport to car rental facility was horrible. Driver was rude, unwilling to help with bags and demanded a cash tip.

Pros:

The car was as specified.

Cons:

It took awhile to get through when we called from the airport When we were filling out the paperwork they charged an additional $121 because they said we had to pay for an additional driver. We said no we only wanted my husband to drive. They said because I was the one filling out the application we had to pay for 2 drivers. Will never use this place again!

Pros:

The staff were well dressed and the facility was clean. The air conditioning was cold and the water was free. That's where the accolades stop.

Cons:

My $77 weekend car rental turned into $212 because they claimed that I picked the car up later than I said I would and then dropped it off later than I said I would, neither of which were true. They also would not let me leave with the car unless I agreed to pay $15 per day for liability insurance even though I had proof of full coverage from my AMEX. DO NOT RENT YOUR CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. Not if you value your money.

Wrong address was provided and information was not clear on rental pick up. Did not pick up rental at all. Not pleased and they are refusing a refund. Won't be using kayak or priceless ever again!

Rented the car online using KAYAK. The total cost for the vehicle was 55 dollars. When I pick up the car, I always decline the insurance and gas option. When I did, they required me to show proof of insurance. I did not have any proof of insurance from my company and I do not care my personal insurance card with me. So I could not get the car unless I purchased their insurance. The car was horrible. It had a bad vibration, it made a horrible noise, the air did not work one time until I figured out the key had to be in the exact right spot for the blower/air to work. It had a hose hanging down below the vehicle. At the end of the week, my 55 dollar rental ended up costing 180 dollars. I always use KAYAK for my rentals....I wish they would pull Priceless Car Rentals off of their site. I will never use Priceless again.

Cons:

Took about 30 min to check in at the counter. It was only one person in front of me. Both the customer and the clerk in the front counter were very slow at rent a car processing. The other clerk got on the phone pretending not seeing other standing clients. Office environment very boring and basic not even a tiny green plant or poster hanging. Aunts are marching on bathroom floor. beware of insurance policy add up at the counter before even they ask you what kind of policy you like to carry... they did upgrade me to another car because of my long waiting. However these people at the rent a car they don't get it! Efficiency and fast processing matters when the time is of essence. We are not there to test drive a intermediate car we need a quick ride and process to catch up with the business meeting etc,...

I paid for an SUV. I never got one. Instead, I got a beat up 8 year old car, that they likely bought from an auction. The bumpers were hanging off. Dents and scratches everywhere. They ignored my complaints. This company is UNKNOWN to anyone AVOID

there was not much I liked. the car was in relatively poor condition: NO spare wheel Car needed a service warning light on airbags damage to rear fender no trim on drivers side wheel arch charged an additional $115 for insurance I did not request (require a refund)

Flight got delayed, so I was late to pick up, and by then, they told me they already cancelled my reservation. Completely absurd that my reservation would be cancelled. Then in return, I needed the shuttle to get back to the airport. They told me 15 minutes. I waited 20 minutes before asking for an update. Told me 10 minutes since they were "backed up". Waiting another 15 minutes before coming back inside. Then they had a staff member bring me to the airport in one of the other cars on the lot. Why I had to wait 40 minutes for this solution, unknown. But they merely just drove us to any drop off terminal, which was not my terminal, but did not bother to ask what terminal.

I opted .to use my own Sunpass for tolls and not FLEX Rent A Car. No where in their rental agreement does it state that I could not do this. Before leaving the lot, I added the rental vehicle‘s license plate 61BRLG to my Sunpass Toll account and received a confirmation email from Sunpass. I then affixed my transponder to the windshield. When I returned the vehicle they kept my $400 deposit for tolls. I have spoken with them about this and they are stating that I used the toll roads after opting out of their Sunpass program. That is because I was using my own and, again, no where in the rental agreement does it state that you cannot do this. By not giving full disclosure, I can only assume this is just another way to get money out of unsuspecting customers. I have filed a dispute with Sunpass as I have read online that they have kept many peoples deposit for one reason or another. If I do not get results I will be taking them to small claims court as the wording in their rental agreement needs to include "you are not able to use your own Sunpass for tolls" and it does not.

The car that I paid for was unavailable when I arrived at my destination. My flight was delayed and I was told that they only hold the vehicle for 1 hour after scheduled pick up time. I then needed to go to a counter in the terminal to rent a vehicle. Of course I had to pay a premium price and am also out the original prepaid fee. I have never heard of a rule that only allowed you to be able to receive the prepaid rental vehicle within 1 hour of scheduled pickup! I didn’t even realize what time was listed for pickup. Never again!
