Girl who rented me the car was not very friendly or helpful with my questions. My impression of her was she was not happy to be there and listen to anyone. I rented from Newark Airport office a little after 5am Wednesday 09.18.24. The car was not what I wanted to rent and the first one had a check engine light on and needed to get a replacement.Reviewed 22 Sept 2024

Line was so long (about an hour), car wreaked like smoke. It also has a cracked windshield, a dent, and multiple marks on the exterior. Only good thing was the Avis girl who helped us at the counter.Reviewed 8 Aug 2024

Terrible experience. The Budget office location was moved and I was not notified. We had a 5 1/2 hour drive. We made a stop 30 + minutes into the drive. When we came out our car would not start. I called Budget for help and the first agent was not kind and helpful. The second agent tried to help but the solution offered had us waiting for an hour and a half for roadside assistance BEFORE being Ubered BACK to the original location to get a replacement car. I suggested that someone bring us a car instead. I was told it would be 5 HOURS until we would get a replacement. I was stranded with two children in another state without any viable options. Thankfully a Good Samaritan got the car started but suggested that we keep the car running until we got to the drop off location 5 hours away. We took turns at pit stops staying with the running car so we didn’t get stranded. Very uncomfortable situation having to let my children in the car alone or go into public bathrooms alone. We did not fill the tank before drop off for fear the car wouldn’t start. I’ll never go with Budget again.Reviewed 23 Nov 2023
