Horrible!!! I ended up playing 3 times more than i supposed to. Insurance paid thru Kayak was invalid, so instead of paying $296 + $80 CAD I ended up paying $596 US + $80 CAD. The car was the worst car I ever rented. 5 years old with almost 60k miles. With broken front bumper, missing dash went panels, broken front collision sensor, broken rear parking sensors, dings and scratches all over body. Gas tank supposed to be full, but it wasn’t. Pickup location requires two separate shuttles with 30 minutes wait time for each. Overall, I was scammed by Kayak, Economy car rental and Insurance provider.Reviewed 16 Jul 2024

I had a reservation for 7pm but I arrived a few minutes late due to the flight and they were already closed. I had to rent somewhere else and I'm still waiting for a refund.Reviewed 12 Jul 2024

They don’t accept Cc insurance so instead they eat you alive with fees. Also, they don’t have A shuttle back to the airport and they aren’t open 24 hours a day. Stay far away from then and use a normal company. These guys are shady.Reviewed 26 Jun 2024

Unfortunately they apparently don't accept credit card insurance (perhaps it was in fine print somewhere, but I didn't see anything during booking) so I was forced to pay for their very expensive insurance. This raised my costs from $40 to over $200 for 3 days. Even if it WAS technically my mistake, this imbalance in costs feels intentional on their part and like a slightly dishonest way to do business.Reviewed 31 May 2024

It may be wise to not allow this company to transact on kayak as their business practices are questionable at best. Issue: 1. Unexplained transportation, till you arrive in LAX, that consists of a lengthy bus ride and shuttle to arrive at the car rental location. 2. This business does not inform and does not allow its customers to use the coverage on a credit card for insurance. 3. This business does not accept the kayak insurance that is advertised as a way to save time and money, 4. Does not accept private insurance and says the deductibles are not high enough. 5. These practices leave a customer with the only option to accept and pay a higher rate than the kayak car insurance. 6. Thankfully, while attempting to understand the reasons why this information was not shared and while attempting to remedy these issues, a gentleman entered the building saying he just experienced a tire blowout, had to change the tire on his own as they would not respond to his calls and wanted another car to which they initially responded they he would have to pay for the new tire and another rental - deplorable. Please stop predatory companies such as Economy Rent a Car from operating on your website. At a minimum, I am requesting a full refund for this reservation that was not used.Reviewed 23 May 2024

Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. I had to wait a long time.Reviewed 26 Apr 2024

This is a total fraud of a rental car place. Do not rent from here. They don’t take American Express they only rent to you if you have your insurance ( your own car insurance with you). This is a scam of a place. We left immediately and went down the street to rent with a reputable company Alamo.Reviewed 14 Apr 2024

Way too hard to get to their location, they took 30 minutes to get my car and required a huge insurance fee. Please don’t list garbage companies like this!Reviewed 17 Jan 2024
