Car was embarrassing for such a company like Ace. The car had 77k on it, tires that were just about done. The trunk had to be slammed a number of times to close. No usb to charge phoned and a chewed up steering wheel. More like being dealth a Joker than a ACE. SorryReviewed 20 Apr 2024

They are a small car company. Their shuttle service is outside the LAX airport so you have to take a shuttle to get to their shuttle. Getting your vehicle takes longer since they need more info and forms filled than the big rental companies. Overall I don’t think I’ll rent here and now know to stick to the major rental companies.Reviewed 19 Apr 2024

The worse experience ever in the last 55 years at any car rental company. They try to nickel and dime their customers by offering a good rate and then make it absurdity impossible to get the car once you're already at the counter. It's a pernicious scam. The clerk ask me to read some inconspicuous dime print and to show my return airline ticket. Secondly he wanted my complete insurance folios to show all my rates limits and deductible specifically for car rental. My proof of insurance and my Platinum AMEX was mockingly dismissed To top it off ( believe it or not) he actually asked me to bring a Utility bill. Yes! Utility Bill. !! Ace will trick you into and nick and dime you into a much more expensive bill. The cashier was purposely distracting me during the check out process and didn’t explain all the charges. He simply told me I needed to initial some boxes. The screen on which I had to read all this “fine print” was less than inch wide and wouldn’t scroll properly. When all was said and done, my simple 4 day car rental ended up costing $600. When I tried to get my money back I was told there was nothing they could do. Don’t use this company. the price advertised is not what we end up paying, we pay 200%+ to get the car. Definitley is missleading that you get a rate and when you get there you have to pay so much more to recieve the service we booked.Reviewed 16 Apr 2024
