The airport was only 2 km (.9 miles) away, a 3-4 minute drive. I’ll let those who read this decide if this is or isn’t fair. My friend and I walked instead.
Hertz in Europe is not the Hertz in USA but seems to be the low cost option. Terrible drop off locations. Will try to claim damage to car or tires. We were lucky our photos showed all the damage was preexisting. Need photos of tires too!

Price was unbeatable - location for pick up when coming from the train station was uncomfortable, not at all convenient. But it should have been much better if there were cars available at the station. Admittedly, it was a very busy weekend..

The pick up and drop off were very poor. It took a while to get through a very long line at the airport to get the car. The car was great and we enjoyed driving it very much. The drop off was a disaster. There was not enough room to drop off your car. It caused a major traffic jam inside the garage where the cars were dropped off.

I requested to change the pick up and drop off location and with no hesitation they did so. Also I realized that the suv which I reserved was to big and they were able to give me a smaller suv. Upon return of the car the employee( David)receiving the car offered to give us a ride to the taxi stop.

I liked nothing! Rented a car. Did a pre-acceptance online. They then said I needed an international drivers license when I showed up to get the car despite pre-approval of my US license online. They would not give me the car and they charged me anyway!!! Horrible business.

There was some discrepancy with the voucher - everything should have been covered, and reality ( we were charged a bit extra at the end). Also, there was a push to buy insurance when doing the pre-check-in online, which we weren’t able to opt out of until arrival.

As I was driving, the oil warning light came on. Out of concern for safety, I immediately returned the car to the pickup location, expecting they would exchange it for another vehicle. However, instead of providing a replacement, the staff simply added motor oil and told me it was fine to continue driving. I found this response unacceptable and unsafe, as an oil warning light can indicate other potential issues with the vehicle. I purchased insurance with the rental, and under these circumstances, I believe I should have been given a new car.
