Cons:wished the car I ordered (Toyota RAV4) would have been available. Instead I got a Chevy Equinox that was just okay but did not meet my expectations.

Cons:Not having unlimited mileage....promotion was gor 100 free miles....made me conscious of putting too many miles on the vehicle instead of enjoying the journey.
Cons:Cancelled immediately after booking, when I found out about the small print (charging 36 cents per mile... but, although I cancelled early, I was still charged the full amount!!!
Pros:Very easy pick up and drop off, car was very clean and in good condition. Overall exceeded my expectations.

Pros:"Gordon" checked us in and we found him to be pleasant / willing to answer any questions that we had. When I got to the car I noticed a rather large "ding" in the front door, passenger side, which was not noted on the initial paperwork. I brought the ding to Gordon's attention and took a photo. Without any fanfare Gordon noted the damage on our paperwork. Gordon also said he would be available during our rental period should any other needs or concerns arise. His attitude was very much appreciated! :)
Cons:We did not like our experience when we returned the vehicle. The lady just had an attitude that shouted "I don't care!" No greeting.. just, "Picking up or dropping off?" No smile.. no "How was the car?" Just, "Got the keys? Want your paperwork?" So we handed in the mileage / gas tank level and were on our way.
Pros:The car was clean & ready - but one tire was seriously low on air. The Hertz employee went above and beyond and had it repaired in short order by a local tire shop. Drop off was a breeze.
Cons:An excellent experience with great caring staff. What more could I ask for? All rental car agencies charge a significant premium for full size SUV's - so it was quite pricey.

Cons:Car was not clean, tires out of balance making 1400 mile trip like driving on washboard, no washer fluid, found in bad weather, windows and mirrors badly stained in hard water spots, difficult to use in night driving. This was second car, first car issued had bald tires...refused for safety.
Pros:Our vehicle was available even though we arrived late. The process for pick-up was easy and the staff person, helpful.
Cons:Details in cleaning were missed, a few papers from previous renters still in the car..no windshield fluid was in the vehicle. This made for a few extra stops to clean the windshield due to the bugs!

Cons:Because we only drove locally and as a means to get ourselves to the airport while our daughter at work, we used less than 75 miles. We were then charged a $15 fee for low mileage. Ridiculous as we spared the car and company wear and tear as a result so why be penalized?
Pros:The folks behind the counter were incredibly kind and easy to work with. When the car I reserved wasn't available, they asked what my needs were for renting and made sure I had an alternate available.
Cons:Sadly the car type I reserved wasn't available. I ended up in a larger car which wasnt terribly inconvenient but I felt like I wasn't getting what I expected.
Pros:Cahill and Silas found me a good rate and cleaned the car before giving it to me. My Ford Explorer had Sirius/XM, which was fun as I drove across the country.
Cons:On a car with fewer than 2,000 miles, I was astonished to get a flat tire. Even worse, it turned out that my rental had no spare tire! No full-size, no "doughnut" size either! Roadside assistance was courteous, but it was estimated to be 4-5 hours before a new vehicle could be delivered. Instead, I drove to a nearby Sears Tire store. Still, the flat delayed my trip by 3.5 hours.
Cons:I reserved an intermediate car and got a Nissan Sentra. Is that really an intermediate car? It seemed overpriced for the size and features (no satellite radio, etc). It was late at night and the parking lot was kind of far from the desk so I really didn't have an incentive to complain to the desk clerk. He told me it was a Nissan Sentra, but I'm not really familiar with many makes and models. Surprised when I get NYC area prices in Helena, MT.

Cons:I waited at the counter at Helena Airport for almost half an hour before anyone showed up. I called the number on te sign at the counter No answer. I called the 800 number, spoke to a person, put on hold, disconnected by rating message. The attendant at the Avis counter went to look for the attendant, no luck. I called the 800 message again, waited, and finally the attendant showed up.
