The car, itself, was the best part. Pickup and drop off was a bit of an annoyance. When I search for rental cars via search engine such as Kayak, I expect it give me options that match my pickup/drop off locations. Economy Rent a Car is not at the Rental Car Facility; you need to get a Lyft/Uber to Economy. And, Economy’s drop off directions for where the key goes was poorly written and confusing.Reviewed 24 Apr 2025

Easy to deal with, did wait a bit longer to get the vehicle after I had finished the processing of the paperwork but they were great otherwise.Reviewed 22 Apr 2025

Customer service was terrible. They gave our car away and didn't have another car for us. Completely stranding us. Zero empathy or trying to help us. Will never book with Economy again and will tell my friends to never book with them.Reviewed 21 Apr 2025

I arrived after they closed, was unable to pick up my car, the reservation was then canceled without a refund. 100% frustration and anger. I will never, ever rent from them again. Will be attempting to get a refund via my credit card company.Reviewed 21 Apr 2025

Car was give to us dirty on the outside and full of scratches nicks and dents. There are many surprise fees Also as an airport rent-a-car it is not adjacent to the airport at all. No public bathrooms is insulting after you took a long trip. Never againReviewed 19 Apr 2025

Prices double on pick up p Because they will charge the insurance on spot! It should be included here upon reservation as it is required!Reviewed 14 Apr 2025

One of the tires had a leak and we had to re-inflate each morning. The key fob didn't work and we could only lock/unlock the car manually. The Bluetooth/stereo would freeze and re-boot every 10 or 15 minutes of driving, the drivers seatbelt didn't automatically retract anymore and there were random pills in the door pocket when they gave us the car.... If Kayak had disclosed the rental company before booking, I would have gone with someone else. The car was cheap though so at least I saved some money.Reviewed 13 Apr 2025

Not surprising, I know, but it was worse than I’ve had in the last 10 years. I feel like rental companies used to find ways tack on fees but not so much in recent years. At Economy in LA, it’s hard yo get there. Not completely Economy’s fault, but you have to find a bus (which is totally confusing cause the bus that goes to rental cars isn’t it), to a lot to get a shuttle. When you get there, they have no bathroom, they don’t accept the insurance you paid for with your booking, and their deposit is $500 which takes weeks to get back after. Staff were nice though. Cars as clean and ready.Reviewed 10 Apr 2025

Horrid to say the least. We arrived on location, their KIOSK is not listed or labeled anywhere. Upon finding it we were told that we are at the wrong place. After I explained multiple times that this is where I was sent by numerous other booths they finally found our reservations. They told us that our credit card was not valid and made us pay $958.00 USD for the car rental. The car was not even close to what we needed or wanted. It was the biggest scam I have ever seen,Reviewed 9 Apr 2025

The price was the only redeeming factor. The van they gave me was falling apart. They tried to upsell me many many things. The staff were short and rude.Reviewed 7 Apr 2025

No shuttle service to rental storefront. They call a Lyft. First Lyft would not pick us up due to size of group which I clearly told operator before. If you drop off rental outside business hours you have to go to some other business with shuttle for additional $15, which was not specified at pick-up. I prepaid for rental and agent tried to upsell me to larger vehicle and was deceptive about pricing putting an additional $300+ hold on my credit card. Overall a sketchy experience and will not do business with them again.Reviewed 5 Apr 2025
