Seat did not recline, Could not understand the captain through the speaker (just mumbling) No vegetarian option for food.
Seat did not lean back. No Vegetaria options for food. I could not understand the captain through the speakers (he spoke very quietly). Staff was Excellent.
Did not care for the food. No healthy options.
We were downgraded from Business to Economy Plus with no explanation as to why we and not other passengers were bumped from Business. In economy there was no food or beverage service until shortly before landing, not even water. There was no entertainment. There was nothing. We were given totally useless compensation of a credit to be used on Copa within a year when there is no chance we will travel anywhere Copa flies within a year and no flights that can be purchased for the amount of the credit.
From the beginning to the end I was completely satisfied. Good reception. Good attendance. Out and inside the aerplain Thank you.
The services, attention, food. Easy to do the boarding
The trip was ok. The crew was kind and entertainment was fine.
Old plane, Poor entertainment and food
I liked everything, it was a Great service and fly, thank yo
No lie-flat seats for a 7.5 hour flight arriving in Rio past midnight is unacceptable. I doubt I’ll fly this airline again, as that’s what I paid for.
The lie-flat seats were good, though they didn’t decline totally.
Copa airlines is terrible, they overbook the flight and then make excuses for you to be put on standby and not make the flight, I have flown and traveled all over the world and never had this kind of experience… will never fly them again. They are manipulative and give you the run around, super inefficient.
My itinerary was, round trip: Minneapolis-Chicago-Panama-Quito. I only made it to Chicago when I found the COPA gate (Chicago-Panama) completely empty. The flight had already left at 7:xx in the morning when my itinerary showed to be leaving Chicago at 1:50 pm. I had no assurance that waiting till next morning was going to work in the middle of flight cancellations due to bad weather and xmas travelers. So, I returned home to Minneapolis. Not a good experience at all. At least I was not part of the thousands of travelers stuck at airports for hours/days due to Southwest airlines meltdown. Not happy at all. I'm not sure of any recourse, I lost my entire vacation expense in addition to my last minute ticket to get back home.
They do not sell food or drinks of any kind, except those that are delivered on the flight. Another important aspect on long trips is that they do not have WiFi, so you cannot use the entertainment application, and consequently you cannot access movies or music.
I had bought a comfort seat and the plan was changed and Copa gave me a regular seat.
Besides the fact that they completely lost my luggage and had no idea where it ever was, and refused to compensate me for their failure in any meaningful way, although they are nice, they are s l o w. Nothing happens quickly. Check in, deplaning, parking, finding a gate. All things any airline should have nailed down. For Copa, though, it was like it was their first time. Landing was also learners-permit rough. Pretty sure we popped a tire with the force the plane smacked the runway.
No vegetarian option for economy class. Had to upgrade to business class to be able to eat.
It was frustrating there was no vegetarian meal option for economy. We had to upgrade to business class to be able to eat.
No power outlets and no in seat entertainment made for a very long 6.5 hour flight. Also they needed to dim the lights more for sleeping (it was an overnight flight). My seat was next to a very bright light. So I couldn’t sleep and didn’t have power for devices.
Entertainment options were awful and all the films and music had problems with sound
I would not recommend this airline. Food is awful. Plane was dirty especially the tray tables. The airport in Panama is a disgrace. Difficult to connect to internet and to charge phone and crowded. A mess.
Was not able to board flight in Rio.
Was not able to board due to only having a picture of my COVID and yellow fever vaccinations. Was kindly walked out of the airport at 3 am and told “good luck”.
The connection between flights was excellent. Not much could have been better for the times we live today.
The entire experience was horrible. Rude staff. Bad food. Seats are so narrow you can barely fit.
The staff was friendly enough. But it’s clear they don’t invest in their cabin Experience. Seats were horrible. No space and really uncomfortable. The entertainment TV did not work. The food was cold. They definitely need to work on improving their service.
Plane was a bit cool. Availability of some snacks would have been nice. Even in economy leg room was quite good. Seats comfortable. Boarding process very good for us seniors citizens. On time takeoff. Quick turnaround on baggage. Would definitely recommend COPA to others.
The airline sells seats rather than free selection so we were stuck with 2 middle seats since we didn't pay in advance
.
Terrible for the price
On board Copa Airlines flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 56x36x26cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Copa Airlines assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
