Cons: - Had to get a shuttle to the office.
- Was under the impression I could drop off and pickup at the airport.
- Many scratches on the car on pickup.
- 800 Euro deposit in which I am still waiting to get back.
- Website said could seat 5 however it was a tight squeeze for all of us.
- under powered car and had a hard time getting up the hills and the car was really low to the ground and had to take the many speed bumps REALLY slow or the car would bottom out.

Pros: Pickup and drop off service is good. Car was clean and ready for us.
Cons: Did not like the $800 USD hold on credit card for any damage but I understand

No Show Personnel
Pros: The price was going to be very good, there is no truth in advertising.
Cons: When I got to the airport (ON TIME) the representative was gone. Another company that was 30% higher than Eurocar was there.

Pros: Drivers were print and very helpful picking us from airport. Cars were well maintained and the rates were very competitive and we've rented several times from them.

Best Value in St Maarten
Pros: Plane arrived late, past car rental closing. I thought I would be stuck at the airport without car. Came through immigration and car representative was waiting. He knew flight was late and waited until I got there. Great job!!

Overall is OK
Cons: My plane arrived about 11.30 p.m. Europcar office was closed. I have to take taxi.
The battery was dead on the 2nd day, wasted 1 hour to change another one.

Basic rental. Beat up car
Pros: The paperwork process when we first arrived was slow. The car they gave us was in pretty bad shape. Small engine do it struggled going up steep hills.
Cons: Car was in poor conditiOn.
Staff was borderline rude.

WORST PLACE TO RENT A CAR IN ST. MAARTEN
Pros: We liked NOTHING about this company. The van driver carelessly dropped my sons brand new luggage scratching and denting it (of course no apology). Our car was a Toyota Yaris with extensive damage on the outside and inside. When we were upset with the condition of the car the employee told us we were spoiled Americans who expected a new car. No, we didn't expect a new car but it would have been nice to have a car that didn't have a large hole by the drivers knee and didn't have a dashboard.
DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. we paid $400 for our car ($40/day) and it looked and drove like a "rent a wreck." And there was NO customer service.

Cons: I dont understand why kayak charge me twice TVE insurance. I made a modificación forma the return date and i pay two times the insurance. $117 and $110

Fast, Friendly, Service. Sub-par Automoblie
Pros: The staff was excellent. We went to the counter at the airport, and within minutes a shuttle was there to drive us to the lot. The shuttle driver was very friendly and informative. He also loaded our bags carefully into the shuttle. The employees at the lot were also very helpful, friendly and informative.
Cons: The only negative from this rental is the quality of the car. It was quite dirty when we got in it and the interior light was not working. It is definitely not detailed between rentals.

Not bad nor excellent...okay
Pros: The island cars are of different standards of those in the USA. My Nisan was too low for the huge bumps all over the roads...and the remote key stopped working at one point but somehow revived the day I returned the car. Small cars are good on the island as parking spots are tiny...last time I rented from Alamo and they upgraded me to an SUV that was much better for the island roads. Will probably not rent from this specific car rental again.
Cons: Car (Jeep minivan) was bigger than I wished I'd rented for a small Carribbean island.
Discovered the check engine light was on and in concern took it back to the rental office where I was assured not to worry....they had checked out the vehicle thoroughly before rental.

Pros: Got a free upgrade...because they did not have our car in.
Cons: They asked the hotel so they could reach me to replace the car, then decided I should just stop back in.....stop my vacation to see if they have the car.....not to be a brat, but customer service is their job. I called to check, and they did not pick up or have an answering machine.....don't expect much help.
When I returned the car, they said I owed an extra day, and I should check my paper work. I said no, and made them look at the electronic reservation. They copied the item down wrong...keep the reservation information handy as they might try to get an extra day out of you.
Pros: Friendly and efficient service. Great price and nothing of the previous reviews.
Cons: Car was an older model, a little rough around the edges. You get what you pay for in terms of the vehicle.

Cons: I had ordered a "standard" car, since we were 2 couples with a considerable amt. of luggage & we recieved an intermediate Kia, in which the driver's side door handle literally broke off the door the second time we opened that door, & we were charged for it "because we broke it" by normally opening the door !! They did exchange the car for a similar one the next day.
Pros: Transaction was quick start to finish. Short line moved quickly. Hertz staff was very courteous. Car was clean and ready to go! Will definitely rent from them again on our next trip to St Maarten.
