Car hire in the Dolomites is a great idea if you want to have more flexibility and freedom on your journey. You’ll be able to explore at your own speed and visit hard-to-reach locations, which isn’t always possible with public transport. The Dolomites is a stunning mountain range in northeast Italy, with many great locations to visit. You will normally need to be at least 21 years of age to hire a car in the Dolomites. Some agencies will require you to be older, though. If you are under the age of 25, you will likely have to pay a young person’s surcharge to hire a vehicle, whilst your choice of cars will also be reduced, as most agencies have age restrictions on certain vehicle types. To hire a car, you will need to provide the agency with a valid ID and a current driving licence.
