Cons: I left my sunglasses and hat in the rental car. I called the Enterprise on 611 Burnside St. and spoke to Kelly. She was incredibly rude and unhelpful over the phone. She spoke to me like I was an idiot for leaving belongings behind and it seemed like it was a huge inconvenience for her to be dealing with my problem. Even the most simple of questions were met with snide responses. I am still working on finding my own solution for having my items shipped to me. This is customer service 101 and she completely failed. This part of the experience was so bad that I will have to consider whether I will be using Enterprise again in the future.

Good value in a car rental, and the whole transact
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. The guy at the desk even went outside to wash the car I was renting -- while wearing a coat and tie! That's dedication!
Cons: Facility is a bit small; they needed to move cars around in their small lot to extract the one I rented.

Cons: i had trouble getting a car after agent lied about we just rented yours out excuse. 2 days later i get 2 calls for my credit card . i believe your female agent on burnside is a scam artist, i brought the car back a day early expecting a $24 credit but none was offered .i almost missed my flight w slow service

Excellent Customer Service
Pros: The lady helping us get the rental was very helpful and went out of her way to help us get everything settled.
Cons: On the downside, we had the original car the first night. On the 2nd morning the low tire pressure light was on. The rear hubcap was broken and had been pushed into the tire stem so we couldn't add air. The Enterprise office we were closest to gladly traded it out for a different car. Unfortunately the replacement car was not nearly as nice as our original car - not a comfortable, fewer amenities, and used more gas.

Pros: price, cleanliness, and staff
Cons: Tire pressure light was on because two tires were low. Went to put air in the two tires that were low, but the internal computer was mixed up in which tires were actually low; therefore, I mistakenly over inflated front tires when the back tires were the ones in need of air. No big deal just took a little extra time and patience to fill the correct tires to the correct levels.

Not as promised
Pros: They didn't have a van for us to take upon arrival, so we went with a smaller SUV. Not a huge deal but disappointing when traveling with 6 people and luggage all week.
Cons: We called and confirmed 2 children car seats, they didn't have them upon arrival (they did notify us as we were at the airport, nothing we could do about it at that point). We were told we had to go pick these up from another rental place- Alamo. They had no idea what was going on when I got there- it took nearly 2 hours to get everything from start to finish with all the drop offs- Also, enterprise's tag line is we'll pick you up- after messing up our reservation we asked if they would pick us up- they said no we are not authorized to do that. Its really frustrating when you don't get the services you requested or paid for and the company does little to help you out. I am avoiding enterprise from now on.
Pros: I was very impressed with this rental. Very clean, modern, and tastefully laid out.
I'm coming back for sure; such a great place!

Cons: Car was very clean, let me say quickly, BUT there were 2 empty beverage cans and a plastic glass that the previous renter had left in the console (between driver and passenger seat). Not awful, but who wants that.

Top notch service
Pros: We made reservations in advance and there was a hitch because the rental center that had the two autos we reserved was the downtown location rather than the airport. The desk agent was very helpful in moving the reservations to the airport (fortunate for us they had two vans ready) and gave us the same deal we arranged at the downtown location. We had two families with kids and were very happy we did not have to travel to downtown with all the luggage, car seats and strollers to pick up the autos. Thanks Dollar.
Cons: We only use a half a tank of fuel in one of the vans, so we would prefer to get some sort of a credit against the full tank purchase option. Perhaps a proportional credit could be added to the credit card once the van was refueled for the next customer.

Best experience ever renting a car.
Pros: That was the fastest I've ever picked up a car and gotten on the road. The guys were very nice, asked if I would like to upgrade without being pushy. Didn't push it when I said I had insurance covered either. The upgrade was perfect too, a Subaru Impreza for only $10 more, since I was headed into a snow storm. Drop off was very quick as well.

Pros: Apparently when I reserved the car online I had used the wrong dates--for 2 weeks later--but they were still able to give us a car at the same low rate. The car was in excellent shape and we had a great time visiting Portland and the surrounding areas.
Pros: It was quick and easy both the check in and check out.
Cons: Location is off site. But shuttle was pretty fast.

Great customer service
Pros: The original car we rented broke down on us on our way to our son's wedding rehearsal. The roadside assistance guy was so helpful and a replacement was set up immediately! They were so apologetic about the problem and gave us an upgrade when replacing the car. From the airport shuttle to the car to the rental team and roadside assistance, they were amazing!

Great Customer Service!
Pros: From the shuttle driver from the airport, to the agent at the desk when I was picking up the car, to the woman at the drop-off... everyone was exceptional! Special shout out to the woman at the drop-off. When I told her I mistakenly signed up for the pre-pay as option, and I only used 1/8 of the tank of gas, she said she'd refund that amount and charge only for the gallons I used. Phew.

The reservation had to be changed because Frontier
Pros: The lady who helped me when I phoned and explained that the prepaid reservation was for off the airport. The agent who assisted me when I arrived and got his supervisor to explain things to me.
i like how efficiently Hertz returned my prepaid charges.
Cons: It was not explained to me that there is a huge airport tax when you rent at the Portland Airport. I was unprepared for that.

Won't use hertz again
Pros: Car was clean and efficient
Cons: We requested pick up at the airport. Luckily before we went to get the car we saw a different address. The car pick up was a 25 min drive from the airport. We were late picking up and had called about being late. They still gave our reservation away and we had to wait for a car in the rental class- they didn't even offer to upgrade to another car they did have ready right away. They wouldn't entertain the idea of waiving the fee to drop off at the airport for when we left since we thought that was were the pick up and drop off were. There were hidden taxes and fees too. Just in general I felt like they were trying to hide the real cost of things. Won't be using them again- I haven't found that things are so hidden with other rental companies.

Pros: When I found an Enterprise Rental Car right down the street from Hertz
Cons: I had a 1 o'clock appointment to pick up my rental car from the downtown Portland Hertz location, and showed up at the rental office at 2:01 PM after a $27 Uber ride from the airport. The door was locked and the entire staff was visible inside the business. I knocked on the window and was met by the manager (Flip) at the door. He asked if he could help me, and I informed him that I had a reservation. Flip imformed me they closed at 2PM (one minute prior to my arrival) and that they had given away all their vehicles. With a very unconcerned attitude, Flip told me there was nothing he could do. I informed Flip I had just flown in from Phoenix, Arizona and was in need of my rental car to drive to Eugene Oregon. He again said there was nothing he could do. I asked him what the purpose was in having a reservation was if they were going to be out of cars when customers arrived? Flip had no answer and suggested I walk down the street to his competitor. So, I found myself in a city I had never been to, dragging my suitcase down the street with no mode of transportation!
This "manager" named Flip of the downtown Portland Hertz branch was extremely unprofessional and a sad excuse for a human being, much less a representative of a major corporation. I will never as long as I live use another Hertz Rental Car! If you want a pleasant rental experience with professional representatives, go Enterprise 100 percent of the time.

Pros: Dropoff was easy. The vehicle was in good mechanical shape.
Cons: Pickup was a mess. Interior was dirty. Car was difficult to drive in the rain, unpleasant to drive. Very poor value.
Cons: The total I paid was about 10 dollars more than what was shown on my reservation. They told me it was extra airport tax. I wish it was shown when I made the reservation so that I could compare the various offers correctly.

Cons: The rather limited hours (7a-7p).are a bit of a drag. And it's 5 miles from the airport so expect a 10-15 min shuttle from the airport. It's a great deal if you live nearby!

Long wait for a car
Pros: Got a great deal for an SUV.
Cons: When booking said it was at the airport but had to take a shuttle to get the car then waited in line for about an hour. Kept trying to up sell us on a different cars because only had a few ready. Chose an SUV for a bit more money but was a good deal. Car was not very clean even though it looked like they just ran it through the wash.

Pros: Drop off lot easy to find.
Cons: Pick up slow. Drop of people disinterested in helping getting us out of there. Chevy Equinox, which we had for a month, has poor visibility and turning ratio, making it clumsy (if not risky) to drive.
Pros: It was clean and smelled nice when we picked it up.
It was comfortable and had many hi-tech features like a USB port and Bluetooth
It was fuel efficient, we got 18.5 MPG
Lots of storage space in the back for our luggage. (We had 5 passengers)
Cons: By the end of the 7 day trip I was wishing that I could electronically adjust my seat, but I think that was more about being in the van for 7 days and less about the van.:)

Brand New Nissan Rogue
Pros: The car was brand new and super clean. I thoroughly enjoyed driving the car. It was comfortable and had reasonable acceleration.
Cons: Upon exiting the airport garage, the attendant was very rude. The manager on duty happened to come by. He was very friendly and receptive. He apologized and explained that he's regretting the decision to hire contractors for this position. He said he appreciated my input and would use it as an example at his next meeting with the bosses. He may be lying through his teeth, but he was very nice and easy to work with.

The car engine wouldn't start
Pros: The only good thing about this experience was one of Thrifty's managers, Yasmina. She was very helpful (at all hours of the night) in getting us a car that actually worked.
Cons: The car malfunctioned and coordinating with Thrifty to get it replaced was a pain in the butt. I had to miss part of a wedding because of a miscommunication on Thrifty's end.

Cons: The car I was given smelled like a rolling ashtray. I called every day I had it trying to get in touch with someone. After sending in an email complaint and receiving no response, I eventually called the national customer service line, to which they told me I had to contact the specific rental location and speak with the manager. After putting in two calls to the manager and not receiving a call back, I finally got ahold of her on my third call to the location. Not only was I told I should have called earlier (even though I had), I was also told she could not issue a refund for the vehicle and offered me $100 discount and a voucher. I never received the voucher when I dropped off my vehicle as the person working had no idea what I was talking about. Needless to say, I will never rent with Thrifty again.

"Specialty" does not mean what you might think.
Cons: I specifically reserved a "specialty" vehicle because the vehicle depicted in the image was one with 4WD. When I arrived at Thrifty they informed me that "specialty" actually means "wild card" which is essentially whatever they have extra of, in this case was a tiny compact car. Had I known I was getting a compact car I would have taken the lower rate and reserved one in advance. This exchange felt extremely deceptive. Additionally, this change in vehicle was not only inconvenient but also dangerous and I was traveling to mountainous areas expecting heavy rain and snow.
