Safestay York

I appreciate that we are in the middle of a virus situation but I valued the hostel being very quiet. The bed was very comfortable hot shower spacious room, interesting design of building, the bar/lounge area was very warm and snug with excellent music being played as well as a good television. The staff were very helpful. Excellent location with this hostel. Less than 10 minutes walk and you are right in the centre of town. Overall, the standard of cleanliness was very high. Appreciated the existence of a laundry which I will get around to using next time. I will be back

No self catering facilities

Good hostel in great location. Bar area and pool table downstairs was busy and sociable. Old historical building, had little plaques that told you what the rooms were back in the days it was one big fancy house.

It was all pretty good, worst thing was the super loud snorer in our dorm!!

The place is naturally safe, we had no problems with the security of our things. Their luggage storage service is also free. There are complimentary coffee sachets, and tea bags in the room as well.

There are setbacks with the facilities such as there are no window curtains, and the window covers have no locks or stoppers. The toilet and shower space is also crumped up and the rubbish bins they provided are too small. There are no power sockets on the bedside walls.
