Obliging, helpful and friendly staff in reception and restaurant. Early breakfast availability was great. Windows opened. Certainly recommend it.
I needed the room only for sleeping, and it was quiet and comfort for that. The breakfast was better than in small hotels in general (as always).
Great breakfast (herring, cheeses, sallads, fruit, cereals, cakes). Completely reasonable rooms, although not large. Free wifi. Very good value for your money. The hotel is located in a quiet courtyard one block off the Market Square (Kauppatori), it could not have been better. I have nothing to complain about.
The room was clean, really quite and spacious; the breakfast buffet was huge. The position of the hotel is very good because it's walking distance from every attraction in the city centre.
Pleasant staff, good breakfast, excellent location, clean comfortable room would have liked a kettle and teabags in my room
The breakfast was quiet good. The staff was helpful, when we asked some information.
The room is very modern and clean. And the location is great, only few minutes to the market square.
Breakfast Buffet with so many choices.
The room was very quiet, central location, wi-fi connection, friendly staff There wasn't any fridge in our room.
to noisy. Noise from street.
Good breakfast, no problem for parking. Family room was too small, and had one mattress on the floor. Room was also too hot.
Staff was very friendly The level of breakfast was poor. Almost everything was already finished at 10.00 o'clock on Sunday morning.
Telephone calls from the room were very expencive!
The location close to the market square is good. Lots of shopping opportunities and nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is also easy to reach by car. Uncomfortable beds. Noisy room. Lack of air condition. Not quite the Scandic standard I'm used to.
Breakfast was good! The hotel room looks like in a bunker.
Very good service, fantastic rooms and garden - all rooms looking different and furnished with old style, thew owner talking to customers in the morning in the lobby
The hotel and garden terrace were beautiful and the staff was always accommodating and helpful. We loved sitting out with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, watching for the garden hedgehog. Although we liked that the hotel is situated in a quiet and pretty neighborhood a short walk from the train station, it is a long uphill climb to get back there in the evening from the city center.
The location is perfect especially for those travelling by train. The hotel's atmosphere is cosy and warm, the Reception staff is highly helpful and friendly. The breakfast and tableware are very good. The rooms were not done properly and the towels were not changed, bur we were explained that was temporary as the permanent staff was on vacation. We were offered appologies but not any discount on that :)
Cosy room and lounge, helpful staff, excellent location, nice parrot
Pretty old building, good breakfast, clean room, free wifi
atmosphere it hasn`t kitchen
I loved the individual decor of my room - such a nice change from staying in the big chain hotels. I also enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing hot bath instead of the normal invigorating shower (I needed to relax after the walk from the ferry terminal). Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the tuneful parrot was good fun. A pleasant location too. I wish I had arranged to stay longer.
Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and good breakfast. Excellent location - 5 to 10 minutes to City center, yet the hotel is in a very quiet street.
As expected. very clean. Good bed. The room temperature was too high. Not possibility to open a window. Apparently the temperature control of the heater, electronic control system, did not work correctly.
quiet hotel, good for buisness
We stayed here for a one night. Hotel is very clear (like everything in Finland) and comfortable. It's closed to city bus station, so it's easy to get to sea port or airport.
Good service, if you arrive outside opening hours there's a good arrangement for the key. Early breakfast, good for if you need ship from Turku.
Nice personel. Poor breakfast, small room. Slow internet connection.
It is a modern, clean, well accessible hotel. The buffet breakfast was abundant, contained also vegetables. In the room was a little bit chilly.
Good location, 10 minutes from the centre square, bus station right across the hotel. Breakfast was sufficient. Quite clean. The reception was not working 24/7, no telephone in the room, no bath tub, really bad and cheap hair dryer (it takes a long time to dry your hair), room was quite small, too expensive for the overall services.
Location is enough good. Cleaness of room, there were a lot of hair in shower, also on the top of toilet bowl. And one big black hair on sink. Also I booked a double room, but got single with extra bed, which was very short and my foots were above edge. Breakfast also were very poor. The price is too high for this level.
excellent location, stylish, comfortable room, helpful staff.
the Hotel is very well located in the center of the City and close to several shopping center. Rooms are big enough. Especially the bathroom l- it is rather big and lookes very nice and modern.Breakfast is quite good. the price we have paid was actually special price (with discounts) and it still was almost 100 Eur per night in standard double room. I think that this is the maximum value for the hotel, and if the room costed more, I would have paid more attention to design, interrior that needs renovation, old wooden doors - for me almost everithing looked a дшееду bit old and worn-out.
Small room, not clean. Bad service, bad breakfast.
No one could compare this hotel to any of the other 4 stars hotel we've stayed in !! In my view it should be re-rated below 3 stars hotel. Not only the facilities but the outrages rates for such a hotel.
Good location in the city centre. City Börs is the budget alternative, you have to cross the road for services, restaurants, reception etc - but that makes the City Börs side quieter.
Nice and big room. No free linen was provided for accompanying kids. Too crowded, especially breakfast room.
good custommer service good custommer service
parking place is so small
The rooms are spacious and the furniture is elegant and of good quality. Very nice wooden parquet, and simple and beautiful bathroom with a general good quality to it. The reception is crowded and noisy: for a rather large hotel they could have invested more in a larger reception hall. It has a bit a feeling of a railway station, everyone standing in line, long lines, and the receptionists trying to get the work done quick. The internet is free but the connection is not very good and fails sometimes. The breakfast is good but not excellent. Being in another building than the central one is a bit annoying (it took me some minutes and thought to figure out where my building was, and then how to actually get inside). There were some noisy families on my floor that found it interesting to leave their door open while happily shouting to each other and having the kids run around.
Good location, friendly service. Practical, effortless, clean, fuss-free and easy place to stay. The breakfast room is not very applealing.
The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. The location was ideal for sightseeing around Turku. We had a very comfortable room.
Its central location. Strong coverage of hotel wi fi. Our double room was extremely small for two persons and as it was in the so called first floor we could not leave the window open at any time.
Friendly staff in restaurant. Good place for a family. Rude male portier
The location at the centre of the shopping area close to most of the facilities.
quiet room, descent breakfast buffet
I liked the central location, had mini fridge and microwave. Not for single female travelers or travelers outside Finland. NO FRONT DESK! No phone in the room for emergency. I did not have cell phone access in Finland - impossible to get the code to enter hotel - my room without it.
The room we booked could sleep 3 people. We did not like that the hotel had no staff. We were traveling with limited wifi since coming from the U.S. and did not receive code for doors. We had to call for help to get codes and that was difficult. Also, parking was a problem. Elevator was dirty.
Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room Street noise at Eerikinkatu, especially at night (room overlooked the street); restaurant smell in the corridors, weak and often overloaded wireless network
Good quality, cheap and nothing big to complain about! The toilet paper wasn't high quality, bed wasn't as good as own.
Free tea, coffee and tasty treats in the room Slow lifts
Stuffs were very helpful and professional. The room was a bit small, furnitures were bit worn out, but it was very clean. Breakfast was nice. I especially love there were fresh berries. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the central market square, but it was very quiet. My stay was very comfortable. They offered you two different types of pillows and I fell in love with the largeer one. I could sleep very comfortably. You have to take a taxi from the bus stop from Helsinki, but it costs 10euros even midnight. If they have a small work desk in a room, it was great.
Location is very convenient in the centre city of Turku. It is old hotel, however, well kept up to date.
Everything is good about this holel in terms of facilities and services. The room is spacious, staff are very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely recommend this to others. It is centrally located and just take 5mins walked to the city centre. But if you're going to take bus at the Long Distance Station, it's a bit far away. It takes you 20mins walk which cause a bit trouble especially when you're with your baggage.
The room was big and the beds were good. The bathroom is a bit old The sorrounding....is close to a social center and there were odd people in the street
Very nice breakfast and also in the city center!
The quite atmosphere
Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Sauna!! Can't think of anything...
