Excellent accomodation. Firstly We have to say that the staff was super friendly and helpful but we need to specific that Philip who was in the night shift was amazing. Thanks for your help and for your great welcome. We chose this hotel because all reviews were really good but at the end we checked that the pictures they posted in their page it was even better that our thoughts about hotel. .

Very friendly hotel staff. Room very clean and next to the beach. We were upgraded free of charge.
The bed was a little soft but it is just a personal taste.

+It's a nice touch to pick up guests at the airport (conditions apply). Only wish the ride went both ways. +A nice and peaceful place for taking some time off the rat race. Not much action, just relaxation. A bit of poolside and walks on the beach. +Close to a pretty decent restaurant and many more touristy ones along the beach. A five min or so walk from a small grocery store with immediate basics. In case you wish to rent wheels to look around the island (approx. one hour drive from end to end according to locals), you seem to be able to do that right next to the aforementioned store.
-The salty water from the shower/tap wasn't ideal on an island with a lot of sun, but apparently that's the standard over there. (That, and the handling of the toilet paper "Chinese style", which may inconvenience some people not used to it.) -Our fridge wasn't working.

The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. The rooms were clean and neat with plenty of space. The hotel is very close to a beautiful black sand beach. I never wanted to leave!

Really enjoyed my stay at Smaragdi. Staff were helpful and super responsive from the time I made my booking. Aliki helped arrange pickup for me from the airport at short notice and also helped with my queries, whether for a phone charger or an invoice breakdown. Property was clean and well maintained and very close to the beach. The poolside also offered a good place to relax and grab a drink or have breakfast.
