When we tried to check in the front desk informed us that there were not any rooms available, even though I had already paid for one. We had to wait for a cab to take us to the "sister" hotel, a marriott near the airport which was 15 minutes away! Not happy!
Great environment and wonderful atmosphere with excellent service. I would highly recommend to anyone on business or just a get-away experience.
Great complimentary breakfast. Nice good size room. Mattress was too firm.
At only $20 more then our traditional budget hotel stay this is quite a value! Spotless bathrooms, quiet and elegant feel throughout, super professional staff. We will be staying here again. Oh, and I love the central location.....close enough to the hustle and bustle of the south side of Springfield, but far enough away to enjoy the laid back pace of the north side. Can get to the zoo in 10 minutes, or Battlefield Mall in 10 minutes.....and Bass Pro is 5 minutes away! Can also walk to downtown (half mile walk, but flat nice sidewalks) restaurants too....and thats our style. Thanks guys!
Nice lobby area. Employees are friendly. Bed is really comfortable. Close to where I wanted to go. Good price. Non-smoking room had been smoked in by previous guests and housekeeping attempted to disguise smoke smell with air freshener. Bleh. This happens at all hotels so no big deal. I could have asked to switch rooms but didn't bother.
Everything was great except the pool was closed
You'd think reserving a room six weeks in advance and paying in full would be enough for this hotel to keep your booking but that's not actually true. Someone else can show up before you, take your booking and you'll be transferred to a lesser hotel, miles away and the staff will make you feel like it's your fault. I've stayed in there in past and it was a really mixed experience. The walls are paper thin but it was in a convenient location. I would have stayed again but now I'd say reserve a room at your own risk, who knows what will happen when you get there.
