Pros: I found the staff were genuinely interested in the guests and tried very hard to ensure a pleasant experience at all times. I would like to make specific reference to one of the concierges, Roshan. His input and patience meant that 2 days of our holiday, which could have been a disaster, were saved. The concierge staff in general were outstanding! Our Spa experience was sublime and worth every penny.
Cons: The toilets in the general area near the breakfast restaurant were always dirty, Our meal at the Japanese restaurant was dreadful, my daughter ordered Chicken which was basically all fatty skin and no meat! This restaurant should be closed down, it was truly appalling. The hotel in general updating. We were there for a week and during that time there was never any evening music or entertainment except 3 dreadful Karaoki singers who even the staff struggled to cope with night after night. Given the isolated location of the hotel, some evening cultural talks or Malaysian music would have been greatly appreciated.
Pros: I like the service of the staff, apart from one concierge member. Both my wife & I fell ill during the trip and the in-house clinic took great care of us.
We still managed to do some excursions and had a blast! We felt a bit secluded though as the resort is isolated and we couldn't even mountain bike out of the place as the roads were too hilly!
Pros: The place is of unimaginable beauty. Service levels can't be beat!
Cons: My only comment... And this is 100% my personal tastes (in no way reflects the hotel at fault). But this hotel is very much out of the way... So when you are there... You are there. I personally love to get out and taste the local flavor... And am less interested in hotel food which 9 times out of 10 is a bit bland. But I want to emphasize this is just my personal tastes!

Pros: Food, beach view, location and excellent bar (CBA).
Cons: Some parts of the Hotel are in need of refurbishment. The children's play area at the pool requires immediate work; holes in the ground and slides need a paint. Gym equipment is very dated. No wifi in gym and the CD's that were playing were skipping songs. Quite annoying as there is no staff present and was up to the guest to change the CD. Eventually I turned off the stereo as all CD's seem to be skipping.
Pros: Staff were great, food was also excellent. Beach is perfect
Cons: Not much

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves &kept extending our stay! Yati is incredibly hospitable! We already miss her delicious breakfast [which always consisted of homemade treats like banana bread or homegrown apple watermelon] Our personal favorite was the spicy sticky rice that was bbq'd in banana leaf!
Do yourself a favor &be sure to join Yati's Island Tour! You'll visit beautiful beaches, find hidden waterfalls that aren't even on the map &enjoy local cuisine for much less than the strip in Cenang. She does this for FREE! Being an avid traveller herself, she knows that we appreciate the personalized touch of learning non-touristy attractions.
I honestly can't speak highly enough about Yati &her husband. We will definitely be back to visit soon!
