everything, the staff, the food and the room opening windows, especially so big, was awkward
Outstanding continental breakfast and proximity to the Prague Castle. Easy walk to Old Town and Charles bridge as well. Perfect location to stage a visit to Prague! Secure underground parking option for $16/night or free street parking in front of hotel. The room came with a free drink at the bar, too!
Jaccuzi in the bathroom was good to have relaxed time after day. Room was clean and tidy althogh decor was a bit too old fashioned. Location is good for castle/old town visit. I had a big drama with a taxi driver who the hotel reception arraned. Even though I clearly requested for a taxi which I would be able to pay with my corporate credit card but they sent a taxi accpeting only cash. After a big argument (with english translator) the taxi driver came back to hotel and asked hotel to pay her alomost double (for round trip which i didnt even use!), and the hotel charged me this all extra cost even though it was not my fault at all without any explanation. Only after I pointed it out they deducted the extra cost. I was really upset and It was not pleasant experience I'd expect from 5star hotel. Breakfast was simple and boring (Nothing like 5 star hotel).
Lovely friendly intimate atmosphere, very nice restaurant,
The spa overpriced
I liked the interior decor of the hotel and its coziness; also, the breakfast buffet and the restaurant menu fare. I thought the bed mattress was a little soft for my liking.
very comfortable Dad nice jacuzzi tub spacious room spacious bathroom great location no complaints I would go there again and recommended to my friends
Excellent breakfast, lovely artwork throughout the hotel, very good location, quiet surroundings. One older porter quite surly but that was our only disappointment. See above
Staff was very friendly. Room was beautiful. Nothing, great hotel.
Great hotel in a excellent location between Prague Castle and Old Town...With a parking garage! Highly recommend. Drive to "text" directions on web hard to follow, probably tricky for any hotel in old Prague; was difficult to locate without a map or GPS. Print out "map" if possible if you're driving to hotel.
Very good location, atmosphere and service. Noise from the road in some rooms when window is open.
The staff were very polite and willing to ensure a nice stay for us. The junior suite with the jacuzzi tub was an excellent way to end a long day of amazing siteseeing. It is located on a very steep incline.
Everything was perfect, the room, service and staff. I wouldn't fault anything at all, and wouuld definitely return.
Hotel staff was excellent and very accommodating to our requests. The hotel is clean, modern, quiet, and has an above average restaurant. However, like the other reviews mentioned, you see few people in the hotel or restaurant. We were the only couple in the entire restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to others, especially if you are looking for a modern room in this old, historic city.
the style of the building outside. location in Lesser town, very convenient go up Prague Castle. the furry blankets/rugs. these collect dust. I suggest you do colored cloths instead for accent & not fur. people have allergies. Breakfast can be improved on.
I've stayed in many 5* hotels all over the world but this hotel is definitely my new favourite. Upon arrival my girlfriend and I were offered a free room upgrade and not only that we were asked to go and choose our room out of a choice of 3. I have never been given the opportunity to actually pick my room before in any hotel I have stayed in. This was my first time visiting Prague and the welcoming staff at this hotel definitely made this trip one to remember! The hotel itself is also in a perfect location with both the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle just literally minutes away from the hotel. I really couldn't recommend this hotel enough.
Cleaness, being new and style None, maybe does not having a swimming pool
Location, internet access Staff could have been more friendly
Great location. Super quiet and very close to the charles bridge Very friendly staff. Very nice rooms. Good breakfast My wife and I had a great stay over the week end.
The wifi connection was really slow in room 15. I was surprised I had to pay for newspapers or print a document
Room had impeccable cleaniness and everything was in a very nice contemporary design. Bed was excellent and so was air conditioning. Hotel location was good and my attic room was very quiet. Breakfast buffet was ok by Scandinavian standards, excellent by any other standards. However, there were no fresh vegetables available, only sautéed. Small minus for the lack of trouser press, but staff gave a steam iron instead.
Excellent location, conveniently located but a quiet neighbourhood. The staff at the reception could be a bit cold some time.
Marvellous interior decoration, spacious, quite room, central locatio;n.
Convenience of location. Quiet area around hotel for a good night sleep yet not far from busy bars. Breakfast service could be alot better.
Central locatinvey close to CharlesBridge& Cle Lack of fitness facilities
nicely decorated rooms, very big shower, lcd tv
1) Restaurant: Food was OK, but the service was very poor, for breakfast (lack of cups, spoons, coffee, napkins...), as well as for lunch (very very slow) - 2) No possibility to adjust heating in the room
Very comfortable, very good breakfast, 5 min walk to Karlov Bridge. Wonderful view from the 5 floor! Parking 30 Euro!!! And not so comfortable.
Nice hotel, the manager Vitek Klima, is a very nice man, if you need help talk to him. the locaton of the hotel is very good you can walk to all the attractions.
Very quit location in the middle of old town Prague. Comfortable rooms with marble bathroom, the size is quiet ok if you are travelling by yourself for business as I did. Breakfast & breakfast room, this is not what you expect at a five star rated hotel.
The rooms in 6th floor are marvelous and have unique view to the castle or the bridge. The staff was unexpectantly polite . The restaurant was high quality. The central heating in the rooms. Too much hot in the evenings .The pressure of the water in the bathroom. The breakfast should be better for 5 star hotel
We stayed in a suite 603 on the top floor. We had a balcony with the views of the castle and Senate & the gardens. If u can, ask for a room at least on the 4th floor as there is a big concrete wall in front of the hotel. the hotel is 5 mins walk from Karlov most & the castle. The girls at the the reception were very nice and helpful. We didn't have any breakfast in the hotel so can't really say if is it's good or bad. There is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, every time you want a cup you've to call the reception and they bring it to the room. It is free of charge but still a bit inconvenient.
Great, historic hotel. Fantastic setting, great staff, great spa, and a really nice cocktail bar. Couldn't ask for more.
the augustine was absolutely fantastic. the courtyard and restaurant were beautiful. the room was so clean, good-sized and they had the room with the extra bed set up for our daughter ready when we arrived. i miss it already. this kind of excellence comes with a price. for us, it was worth every penny.
All Staff is very kindly.A view from Restrant is so beautiful.Morning Meal is Delisious. ジャグジーが使えなかった。説明書を見たが動作がしなかった。
Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, and great experience overall. The staff is not terribly knowledgeable of the city or making recommendations for dining, train transfers, etc.
jacuzzi bath, welcome drink, view whilst eating breakfat, food at breakfast, friendly staff
Everything. Beautiful view of the city from the restaurant. Quiet neighborhood away from traffic. Helpful staff. Excellent location. Beautiful surrounding gardens.
We enjoyed a beautiful view of the rooftops of Prague in a spacious suite, only steps away from the Castle. The hotel staff was gracious and professional, and the restaurant was memorable.
The very friendly service, reception, bellman, maid service. The location, quiet and with great view of the old city.
Terrific helpful desk clerks and a very nice room. Excellent location
Stunning service, attention to detail and involvement of management in day to day operations. Cuisine is excellent and breakfast an experience in itself.
personal attention, uniqueness of the hotel
The magnificent views, excellent food and comfort of room are only exceeded by the friendliness and attentiveness of all staff. what a wonderfull experience our stay at the golden well was!
good location. helpful staff, very clean & comfortable, would recommend no
Well positioned for sightseeing, an elegant building with style Decor in need of update but not a big problem. Better shower arrangements would be useful
hotel was in a great location staff freindly hotel very clean and comfy would go back and will recomend
The most important is the place where the hotel is situated. At 50 m from Charles Bridge and very close to Castle is everything you can get in order to have a perfect day in Prague. Hitting was not satisfactory. In bathroom was very hot but in the room was not so good ambient. The most embarrassing thing is that you have to use the card to open the light and key for opening the door. Each time when you were leaving the room in the night you should have to take out he card and then find the locker to open the door..
cleaned room N/A
cosy and quiet...! not having my own tea and coffee maker in my room
The location of the hotel is so special. it is in the middle of everything. There are three building having the same management of charles hotel. so, we found our selves not booking on the original charles and they shifted us to another building. The staff at checkout was so arogant and not helpful at all.
Great location, in between the charles castle and the charles bridge. Very accessible to all of the city. St.Nikolaus church 2 min away, plenty of shops, restaurants, supermarket nearby. Room was very spacious, tea/coffee provided for. Bath robes provided. some english channels available on tv. suite was very pleasant. free wifi. staff pleasant. baggage storage facilities, free use of pc and tea/coffee facilities in hotel lobby, which we were free to use after checkout, printed out boarding passes for us also. while the suite was lovely - we were located on the first floor, noise levels very loud during the night and early morning. would prefer to stay at back of hotel or maybe higher floor , as noise levels did rise throughout the night.
The location, only minutes from the Charles bridge and lots of nice restaurants close by. Nothing.
Hotel is very close charles bridge. Nothing
Big and comfortable rooms. Excellent location. No place for parking.
great location, friendly staff, breakfast small tv
I was able to get awqay from the main tourist areas for a quiet night. It was ideally situated between the old city and the castle. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing at all!
A very good hotel, very nice rooms, not the largest but what they lack in size they more then make up for in character. Much much nicer to stop inthen a bland "chain" hotel. Breakfast very good also.
Location was excellent, lots of character.
Location is good, however parking is not. Only have a couple of spots out front (Not free) and not secured. Breakfast was a good typical European fare. Get there before 0900 if you want a place to sit! Hotel was clean for its age and staff spoke English were friendly.
The rooms were large and richly decorated. Our suite was located in another building ( which apparently is a part of the Waldstein complex) but I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the city center of Prague
Location, close the city centre. Old-style design and antique castle-type rooms. Staff is very nice. Visitors should previouly contact the staff on the room location. Several of them are at the noise street.
The room size and design far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet was quite nice as well. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Great location, good breakfast, nice clean room with character and fairly big for Europe. Reasonable price.
breakfast, internet, location,
I liked that it was close to everything but in a quiet neighborhood. I also liked that it was right by a metro station. I had a bad shower and would have liked to have had a shower curtain on the bath
The location and the breafast were great.
Great location, and the bedroom, living room and bathroom were huge. Would stay there again for sure.
I liked the proximity to the centre of Prague and all the tourist attractions. I did not get the room I reserved. The hotel blamed hotel.com booking and I disagreed. The was a bit of an issue in finally getting something that was close to what I booked.
the location is very good.
Everything was excellent.Very big room and bathroom.Satisfying breakfast.Great location, close to Metro and the sightseeings.Helpful staff.I would definitely stay there again.
Excellent breakfasts, Internet Availability, Great Location
Good Location. Near the main sites of the city. Very close to public transportation. Within walking distance of many restaurants. Our airline flight was canceled but the hotel was kind enough to move our reservation 1 day forward without a fee. Thank you! Breakfast (included with our room) was good, but look for the small card in the dining room that lists many more "special order" items. If you don't know it's available and/or don't ask for it.... You'll miss out of a great meal to start your day. Hot water heater was out of order (more than once). The hotel was having it repaired and I do not blame them for the problem. However, I was only mildly compensated ($) for the "cold showers".
It was quit enough, the breakfast was good the bed was not double - the hairdryer didn;t work allways-the first night we were cold because the receptionist didn; t tell us about the heating
The apartments were partially constructed under a rock, with part of the rock pertruding into the bathroom. As such, it provided for a unique and fun experience.
Very nice hotel apartments. Perfect location - very close to Pražský hrad and Karlův most. Very friendly personal. But for old people exists one problem - lack of elevator and noise of tram even in the night. But for me and my husband, that wasn't a problem! This hotel is located at Malostranska metro station, that is also very convenient to get to any place in the Prague and also to the airport. So everything was perfect!!! If we return to Prague we’ll stay in this hotel.
Great location, nice staff, novel design, and good food. A very nice place to stay in Prague.
facilities of the hotel and the staff kindness. nothing
The location was good and the apartaments were spacious enough. Poor service and cleaning. The information provided about the apartments is false. They're not fully serviced. After discussing this with the staff I was told that what they mean is that the apartaments are fully equipped, not serviced. But considering that they not fix this information, I have to think they're deliberatelly fooling people.
Location is great, 1min. to Charles bridge and Hradcany castle complex. Rooms are nice and you can really feel Prague atmosphere here. Minibar is also a nice addition if you wake up with 'pub flu' (and you will in Prague ! :))
The staff were friendly, 24hr reception, location was great, room was good with free internet (public wifi), public transport just outside the door and all for 79 euros per night. Oh very close to all the attractions. Will use them again. Took a while for hot water to come through but I have experienced this in other czech hotels also.
the location is very near to charles bridge, it's excellent. the hotel is beautiful, it feels very luxury and safe. the shower was very bad. it turned warm-cold-warm whenever it felt like doing so. this was horrible, especially if it's really cold outside. the hotel should definitely have to fix this. also the bed was very small. it's cosy for loved ones but less suitable for friends. .
The staff are so helpful, the accommodations are pleasant, the location is perfect. It's my favorite place to stay in Prague!
The location was amazing and the room was beautiful and very clean Wifi and breakfast would have been great, but we knew this wasn't available when we signed up
Welcome champagne, dinner for 20% less. Big-big suite full of several types of beds. Comfortable bed. Excellent location. Bathroom was full of water after a shower because of the wrong curtain. We had to wait for a long time to find someone from the staff to check-in. We were waiting for the menu for 20 minutes in the restaurant.
The staff were friendly, the location was excellent and the room was very good for the price. I would certainly stay there again, Only a small thing but the bedroom carpets had not been vacuumed which did not give the right feel but not fundamental.
Good food at the restarurant downstairs Huge Clean bathroom Although breakfast was said to be available from 7am, it was a matter of trying to catch the am staff from the kitchen. they are obviously not used to people such as myself being on the go early. A minor point.
The room is nice, clean and quiet, and very close to Charles bridge. Good discount in the restaurant.
the convenient location, so i could walk everywhere, but come back for rest, meals easily and then go out again. NA
NIce Beds/bathrooms, very cosy place....we loved the location!! Nothing really, breakfast was great too.
It's good location. And plenty of local people use the restaurant. The rooms are good. Hotel did not have booking. emails were unanswered. Telephone calls only answered by bar/restaurant staff who know nothing about hotel reservations or left items. Breakfast is poor but ... is only 6 euro.
location; very large, comfortable rooms; good breakfast 2 of 4 room heating units didn't work; intl TV not activated; street/tram noise
Position of hotel - excellent location. Large rooms. Good breakfast each day. Pleasant staff. Clean and modern bathrooms. Dull lighting in rooms made reading difficult. Our room was on third floor which meant lots of stairs ( tiring for the older guests in our party). I would recommend that parties request lower floor if they think this may be a problem.
