The location and the size of the room.
The room was ok but different than the pictures published for this category of rooms. The window had big shutters which could not be kept open because of the wind, so the room was dark.

People at the reception desk - - all of them - - were extremely helpful, from getting me a box breakfast when I left very early, to sending a maintenance man when my window/balcony door kept blowing open during the night, and advice about the city at other times. Perfect location in the center of things to do. I recommend it highly and would stay there again.

First of all; the staff was just amazingly friendly and helpful. Upon my arrival I asked if I could have a room with a view out onto the street and the Politeama (I like hearing and seeing the life of Palermo), and the staff did everything they could to make me happy. The room I got was huge, spotlessly clean and had a fantastic view. The room attendant was the sweetest person and came every morning asking what I needed. Breakfast had a good selection of sweet and savoury dishes. The hot beverages were machine made, but if I wanted a freshly brewed espresso I could just ask the staff and they would make me one. The location was absolutely perfect for anything I wanted to do in the centre of Palermo. On the day of my departure the staff let me leave my suitcase until late afternoon as my bus didn't leave until 18:00. Overall, a wonderful stay for a very decent price. I would love to stay here again! ;-)
I like bed pillows that are quite soft, and I the ones that were in the room were a bit too firm for me. I'm sure if I'd asked the staff they would have done everything they could to find me a softer one.. Regarding coffees, I would order a freshly brewed coffee rather than taking one from the machine. They were not amazing.

Clean, large rooms with a nice balcony to see the hustle and bustle of Palermo. Good breakfast- staff worked very hard at refilling food and getting coffee. Daily cleaning service- was excellent! Shower and water pressure were amazing, nice big bath towels too. Knowledgeable and friendly hotel staff! Super kind and always willing to help! Excellent experience from start to finish!
I am not a firm mattress sleeper so beds weren’t as comfortable as I prefer.
