Great staff who were professional and polite. The toilet in our room was constantly running. The staff addressed it immediately. Wonderful breakfast as well as seating area. Very comfortable rooms and amenities were top-notch!
Beautiful small hotel with clean and modern rooms. From the window I could see the Manhattan bridge which adds to my down-east Manhattan experience. Personnel was helpful and kind, they provided excellent breakfast. There is an M15 bus station next to the hotel so it is easy to go downtown from there. Holiday Inn, please invest in the hotel to add noise-filtering windows to the rooms. I would suggest this hotel for visitors who already visited New York previously, as the surrounding does not reflect the overall landmark Manhattan really has. Overall I was satisfied with the hotel and thanks for the hospitality!
Everything was very good, nice and helpful people. Very clean. The location of the hotel has easy access to public transportation and is safe but the area smell bad and does not look very nice. Inside the hotel is very good and clean but outside is not. (Close to Chinatown)
I'm a student and found the tariff to be reasonable and a great deal considering the proximity to downtown Manhattan. The location wasn't very good. I'm not sure if I'll choose this location again.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful and patient. The free breakfast was well stocked and we had no problems with appliances in the room. There are even recommendations for places to eat and directions to various parts of new york on the website. Very good deal for the price. :) The only downside was the location which was above a market. If you don't like the smell of fish it might bother you, but it's not nearly as pungent once you get inside.
Best location middle of Chinatown so I had access to restaurants in minutes of walk. Cab fare to 34th street wasn't to bad since the close distance. The sound from the train right outside of my room, but that's all big city are like. We are young so we adjusted to the noise after the first night.
subway accessible, hotel room was tidy, no complaints
Reasonably clean. Very noisy with trains passing by every 5 minutes. Bad views from the window. Old furniture. Poor heating in rooms. Tiny desk. TV remote does not work.
The value for the money Kinda in a depressed area
Clean with a large bathroom Coffee service was terrible, in Chinatown
On this trip I just needed a bed to sleep on, and a shower & toilet to use, and Hotel 91 definitely met those needs. While not the fanciest of places, or the most elegant decor, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was quite comfortable, and the plumbing was all in good working order. The room and public areas were all clean, too. The hot water took a little long to get hot, but I also blame that on the weather - had it not been ~5 - 10 degrees outside, I wouldn't have been as desperate for a properly hot shower. The room door also felt a bit flimsy, but it kept the sound and cold out so that's more of a "feeling" thing than an actual complaint.
Close to a subway. The subway station next to the hotel.
Clean beds and updated bathrooms for an great price. Hotel 91 is less than 5 minutes from a subway station (and be sure to get coffee at the "12 corners" coffee shop on the way.) All in all, Hotel 91 was exactly what we needed: an inexpensive but comfortable place to recharge as we explored NYC. The neighborhood is not very central, so it is ideal if you are looking to have a place to sleep and leave your bags as you are visiting the city. Don't plan to come back to your room and change before dinner, though.
Wifi was spotty at best. Several times I needed to go to the reception desk and ask them to reset it. Sometimes they told me to just use it in the lobby. One evening, the desk clerk told me to wait until morning. When I said that two other desk clerks had reset the wifi on previous days he rudely expressed skepticism and demanded their names. When I obviously did not have their names he demanded precise descriptions of them. Even for New York, the Kayak-discounted price of this hotel was far too high for the value received. I have stayed in New York many times and will never stay at Hotel 91 again.
No problems at all good location had a great stay, reception was helpful great price a lot of good food close by. Got to do alot of shopping only thing was parking was far away but its New York what can you really expect. Thank you.
