Nice view from the bar, nice room.
Great welcome. Staff always willing to help. Rooms very comfortable. Great view. Fantastic design, furnitures, deco. Room cleaning was average.
Very nice soap and shampoo Toilet paper poor, coffee stand in the morning moved away very early. At 9:30 it was already moved away. from the five opportunities we could only use 2.
Proximity to business event. Room location: too noisy; not conducive to getting appropriate rest during a business trip. Front desk: did not accommodate our request upon arrival. We were moved to a room 2 floors higher, same room location, same noise level.
Good location, 10 minute walk to Times Sq. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. Drinks expensive.
There were comfortable beds, nice tv's in the room as well as a brilliant shower. The hotel is next to a junction so you get awoken very early every morning but i was put on the second floor next to it.
The staff were very professional, and helpful. The hotel is nice to bring our dog to, the staff went out of their way to cater to him. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was a very noisy club next door that made it difficult to sleep. Also I thought that for the price we paid the hotel could have offered free WiFi in the rooms.
On Sunday nites, club next door is so loud well into the nite making it virtually impossible to sleep. All light fixtures lack dimmers and all contain very high wattage cold fluorescent bulbs Lighting in room is horrible. Hvac is not well regulated. Room would get very cold and the only option is too turn off and wait for it to get unbearably hot
The View at the bar on the 16th floor! The view from our room, the food, service, location
Amazing room with a view of the Hudson River. Excellent service from staff. The evening wine reception is a nice touch.
The cleanliness of the room and the bathroom and the location (near to time square) which we can find several metro lines. The noise resulting from the street (trucks, klaxons all night long). It was almost impossible to sleep even with earplugs.
We brought our dog with us, and they were very welcoming and accommodating...he got treats, a new leash, and they even offered a dog bed! And, they didn't give us a hassle when we wanted to leave the dog in the room while we went to dinner. I think the dog had as great a time as we did! The location wasn't the greatest if you are looking for "things to do" right there in the neighborhood, but for our needs, it was perfectly fine!
Clean and uncluttered Good service I came in early and couldn't check in til 1:30 pm.
Walking distance to times square and the subway, some bars and restaurants nearby (hells kitchen area). And talk about bang for your buck, they validate parking, free wifi, some small stuff for breakfast. This place was a perfect hotel to crash at while exploring the city, I would stay again for SURE! The rooms were small, but typical for ny. The vending / ice was pretty sparse, but I've noticed that's getting typical for lower cost hotels. Must be how they're saving money. It's a little bit of a walk to the subway, not a big deal for me, but if it's really cold or you just don't feel like walking, it's a little inconvenient.
I liked that it was in walking distance to time square. I wish that when the staff tels you that they will get you side by side rooms that when you go back they don't tell you that they are not suppose to move any rooms around. Then take thirty min. and 3 people later to get it done.
Bed was ok. It was clean . Location was not bad. Bathroom very small . Once the housekeeping open the without noticing. I notice the hotel had a restaurant 2 days after. No breakfast included.
Modern, euro feel, roomy, friendly , clean - good service - it was very convienient walk for me to the piers at 50th where I was going to an art fair - also convienient to w42nd street where lga bus drops you off ! I also got a freaky great price on kayak No coffee pot in room and breakfast place downstairs had nothing I wanted all for a high price - there is a fridge in the room and lots of little breakfast places within less then a block - I simply brought a hot water heater with me , a cup and a bagel ! The management was so nice I bet if I had asked them they might have provided ....
I originally asked for a room with a king bed as it was just myself and the upgrade was pretty expensive considering the room would have stayed unoccupied. Room also significantly smelled of new paint which was not remedied.
Our stay was during one of the busier weekends, when the Pope, Beyonce, and everyone but their mother decided to go to NYC. Needless to say, there were few options that fit our budget and our requirements. We booked the hotel because of location, price and overall comments from other reviewers. First off, we loved the location! Situated right in the center of Hell's Kitchen, the nearby restaurants were incredible and it was easy access to go anywhere in NYC. We also liked the room itself. It was a decent size, with two twin beds that were more like full-sized than college comfort, it was clean, and it was quiet. I didn't like filling out a form online for early check-in, just to arrive and find out we need to wander the streets for an hour because they didn't have a room for us until 1 pm. I also didn't like the option of choosing a room with a view only to have our window facing a wall. Finally, for a name like Skyline hotel, it gives off a false hope that it's taller than five floors. Motel, maybe. And certainly not valued at $300 a night. But for our one-night stay outside of the room, it had a clean bed, a big room, and the added comfort of a great location.
The pool hours are weird.
Location is great, just 2 blocks from metro station, bed and furniture was ok, staff polite Restaurant charged me about $25 for a normal breakfast, food somewhere else
I liked how the staff waa very friendly and helpful also the hotel is in a great location right by time square and central park which waa very convenient, i would definitely reccomend to others.
We were in NYC to see some friends and go to a concert at Terminal 5, and we picked Skyline based on its proximity to the venue and the fact that it had $10 parking! It was a 10 minute walk to the venue, and about a 10 minute walk to the park or Time Square. The rooms were exactly what you would expect for a reasonably priced hotel in New York City, they were slightly smaller and a little old, but perfectly clean. Clean Rooms No Coffee in the AM in the Lobby.
10 min. walk to Times Square Great surrounding restaurants Affordable parking
Pool was nice, cool setting on the top floor. Close to major attractions, not a bad price for Manhattan. No coffee maker in the room, cold showers both days, rude pool staff.
Everything about our time here was excellent and we stayed here for 2 weeks. Would definitely come back again and would really recommend this hotel. There wasn't anything we didn't like
loud. unfriendly staff. i got put in a room in the basement next to a huge ice machine. every hour all night it made big noise that woke me up. i asked to change rooms and they laughed at me.
I choose to optimize my room for quiet: I received what must have been the quietest room in the building. Staff was helpful and friendly. WiFi worked well and was simple to engage. Breakfast area was crowded.
I liked that the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. They offered free breakfast although I was not able to take advantage of that but I was excited that they had that to offer. The hotel as a whole was very clean and you could tell that there was good upkeep of the utilities in the building. For the most part, the staff was very helpful when I had questions and it was easy to get to a place of transportation from my building because there was a main street just to the left. I wish my room had a better view of the city because it was in the back of a building so my view is of a parking lot but that is just a preference for me. I also did not like the the house cleaning it had to be done at a specific time because I was not prepared when the woman came but she let me know that if she did not come now she cannot come again. I also had a late flight so the early check out fee was a little much to me but I understand that as well.
The room was small, but very nicely arranged. There was a bathtub that I used for relaxation. The view from our room was nice and bright. There were fruits at the breakfast. Breakfast space was limited for all the guests and that makes people like me who prefers to take his time eating breakfast hurry, because watching others standing doesn't feel right. It was not also so much vegan-friendly. There was oatmeal (as a source of protein) but I would like to suggest the hotel managers to add soy/almond milk, peanut butter as well so that vegans can use the cereals too. Vegan sausages (with request from guests) could also be a very good option.
Everything Necessary for a Business Stay is There. Lobby Small but Functional People Were very Friendly and Helpful Hotel was Clean and Convenient Rooms Are Very Small, but Hey! This is NYC in the 21st Century! Long Walk to Nice Restaurants
We were traveling with an elderly family member that required a lot of special accommodations with her room. Serena, who worked the desk both days of our stay, was wonderful. She was very patient and made sure all the accommodations were provided and did it all with a smile. Would definitely recommend based on her, the cleanliness and style of the rooms and the location.
