Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16

People were nice. Rooms were alright with very good water pressure and water temperature. Nepresso coffee machines are a plus.

You have to take a taxi to the poplar venues for shopping and eating. The casino is smaller and for the lower end. They have low limits if this is what you want. The clientele is lower to middle income so you have to deal with the etiquette issues that come along with it. Flagging a taxi may be challenging at times here. The late in room dining options are limited and quality was mediocre. One of the items I ordered was a pepperoni pizza and got a bad tasting ham pizza. The room only has international plugs on one side of the beds. The Bose wave radio is kind of useless as it does not Bluetooth sink to your phones. The worst is the checkout time on a Monday at 11:00am. I had one hour extended to noon. I stayed two nights. I have never received such a short extension and in Macau, people gamble until very late if it early morning. I will never return to this hotel again as I frequent many in Macau and globally for the aforementioned reasons.
