Staff were very friendly, the room was large, comfortable, fully equiped and clean. There was very little traffic or other noise. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice.
This is a cozy hotel with friendly staff. It is very convenient to the tube in a fine location. This is not a bad point, but the dinner I chose could have used some improvement. The chips were great, but the fish was fair. Still, it was a decent meal for the money.
It was easily situated by the common close to tube and all shops. Great to walk on the common. Hotel very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We will return!
The quality of the bed, the luxury of the room, the nice help at the reception.
Very lovely hotel, which was clean and tidy The shower didn't work
Staff were very polite and hotel was very clean andf well kept We've stayed in 4 star hotels that were more affordable yet much nicer in terms of decor and furnishings E.G. riverside plaza!!
Great location, nice breakfast area and a nice room Staff average
The windmill benefits from a great pub with good english beers and also great food. Breakfast is excellent too.
A great location on the common, close to public transport and nice rooms
It was clean and tidy and close to what I have to do in London. The room was quite and I could not here any pub or road noises and it was nice with the park close. Yes I would recommend the Windmill to anyone coming to London.
Excellent shower and nice clean bathroom No wardrobes or anywhere to unpack and hang clothes. Bedside lamp did not work. Very small room.
Got what we wanted - a reasonably priced hotel with friendly service We heard no rowwdy nightlife though there's traffic and planes (which are easy to block out as continous) and a few loud voiced guests! Tiny bathroom and window in sloping room made it feel cramped and hot. Beds not overly comfortable and sheets not duvet. Breakfast was very basic-would've liked criossants, Italian coffees - and nothing hot was offered. it also was served v early - it finishes at 9 and you can't use off peak public transport till 930. Being a way from most attractions means that you spend extra on transport
Close to underground, tesco and many pubs. Housekeeping every day. Good breakfast. No hairdryer or pen and paper in the room. Housekeeping could have been better, they didnt clean only change of towels and made the bed (no change of bedding).
cheapness. not too far from teh city center. useable. a little far from the city center. It is an additional 20 minutes in the metro to most places.
Close to the tube, shops Rooms in very poor condition
the price is cheap, nice hotel outside, the room ok to sleep the bathroom is not very big and not very clean
Comfortable basic hotel with friendly staff conveniently located near two tube stations. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and a great local cinema showing first run movies. Tremendous value
Close to where I wanted to be Very little in the room worked (hairdryer,television,t/press,bedside lights, no basin plug etc etc, ). Bed very uncomfortable. Not complaints - just facts.
accessible to all amenities lack of parking, i had to pay for underground parking at battersea and taxied from hotel to car park
Unbearably hot room, no ventilation. Shower was just a trickle, bathroom floor flooded and soaked into room carpet - judging from stains, for the last few years. Noisy, little sound insulation between rooms and corridors. Room generally a bit tatty. I know it's London but for this price in Australia you would get a 3-4 star, 2 bedroom apartment near the beach.
good price and location poor breakfast - only toasts, butter, jam and corn flakes.... no ham, cheese or vegetables... cold room, under the window fanned... Morning noise from other rooms...broken toilette... don´t looks like hotel, but like cheap hostel.
Possibility to left there a luggage after check-out.
the location is rather ok; You have easy access to subway which takes you in 10 min to London's centre The rooms are very very small; I stayed 2 nights. The first night the put us in a room on the ground floor which I would say was a closet. The only windows it had pointed to the eating area inside the hotel. The bathroom door could not be closed since it had only a door handle. And the minute I walked in the room I fell on the bed - there was absolutely no room for anything. Plus the LCD I saw in the pictures was a old tv set with an antenna( who the hell still has those? ) and only 4 boring channels. I think this is "new guys room" - you are new there, you are likely to end up in that room (202 for those curious). Next morning I change the room. This new one was way better but still a small room
The staff who stood out,and really tried in every way to help in any way they could, especially the kind and helpful man who got us a taxi to St Pancreas for the early morning of the 29/05. And the cleaninglady, who kept our rooms tidy inspite of all the qirks of the house. I also liked The nearness to Clapham Common,a great park, and a nice neighbourhood. It needs doing up,and old furniture replaced, drains stink. In short,it is an old building,it is all down to wear and tear. Breakfast is poor.
Very welcoming and modern exterior
Convenient location If you are looking for a place to crash then it's OK. Very basic
the hotel was good for public transport around london, allowed us to book in an hour early and gave us complimentary drinks while we were waiting. very basic, shower was only a trickle of water, windows very draughty and quite cold if you didn;t have the heating on high
Dirty, smelly room, breakfast = 2 toasts with butter and avery poor quality orange juice
Booked two double rooms got upgraded to a flat for nothing. Lovely jubley.
Convenient and relatively cheap No wardrobe space. Rather noisy.
