Great little boutique hotel, it's like traveling back in time. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, they have a beautiful little library space with a balcony, the breakfast was really delicious, recommend staying here!

Wonderfully comfortable hotel with some lovely touches. Coffee, tea available all day in public rooms often accompanied by wonderful traditional tarts and biscuits. Carafe of port in the room topped up as & when ! I celebrated my birthday whilst I was there and was surprised & delighted to find champagne in the room when we returned in the evening. Great breakfast selection, lovely toiletries, helpful friendly staff, a truly great place to stay. We will return.

This is a beautiful, classic old hotel located in a great location in Lisbon. The staff were uniformly helpful and friendly and the room was very comfortable. Two remarkable things to note: (1) The library and its view of the river from the top floor is a wonderful place to unwind with a drink at the end of the day; (2) The breakfast is excellent and the choices are numerous. Our whole experience staying here for 3 days could not have been more positive!

Overview
A small Boutique hotel part of an 18th century townhouse. Just next door to the National Ancient Art Museum, with 29 sunny rooms, Garden(where in summer you can enjoy Buffet breakfast), Library with Terrace overlooking the Tagus river, where books and family photos set the scene for a romantic novel. This house is believed to have been inspiration for the famous novel "Os Maias" written by Ea de Queiroz,a Portuguese writer who is said to have lived here. As in a friend's home, all the areas of As Janelas Verdes are exclusive for our Guests.
