This all-suite resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip is a short drive from Fashion Show Mall, the convention center, Downtown, and McCarran Airport.
Excellent Service and DiningPros: My wife enjoyed the pool and suite while I was in meetings, dinner at Buddy V's, excellent Italian food and the service was fantastic.
We also had dinner at the French Steak House on the patio over looking the strip, excellent food and service.
Too much to handle!!!!!!!!!!!Pros: Loved the size of the luxury king suite
Ease of access throughout the huge establishment
Excellent staff and the yardbird restaurant is a MUST
Pros: The bed was great. The room was well appointed, for a style that one can only hope will die off. Would I stay there again? Sure, but not if I was paying for it, and not if one of roughly 5 other hotels were available at the time. Cons: It felt like the finest technology 2005 had to offer. The TV's looked pretty mediocre, and WiFi was spotty, at best. The walk to the room was also *really* far and very convoluted. If the Venezia tower didn't spit your right out at Bouchon for breakfast, that would be a deal breaker.
Little touches, like the plug strip that motor-rotated on the desk, are utterly pointless when basics (like the number of hangers in the room) are so poorly accounted for.
The biggest downside? The parking garage is an utter joke, with people taking *hours* to get their cars out. I had a rented car, but I just parked it and took taxis for the stay after sitting in one place for 15 minutes while trying to leave.
Hidden feesPros: Room was good but not cleaned while we were there.Cons: Despite prepaying everything was charged an additional 40 dollars + tax per night for a mandatory facilities charge upon check in. That despite the fact that 9 of the 10 pools were closed for the season. The additional fee was not mentioned anywhere when I booked it and would have tipped the balance if I'd known.
no RefridgeratorPros: room itselfCons: the fridge was taken up completely by merchandise the hotel was selling. No room for things like insulin unless you wanted to pay extra for an additional fridge!
Get to the pool earlyPros: Clean and nice hotel in a good location. There's nice restaurants inside.Cons: The pool is crazy. We went down one day at 11:30am and there was not a free seat anywhere. Absolutely packed. Went down the next day a bit later so we expected there to be no seats available but there were towels laying all over seats and on the plants. It was very messy and disorganized. Here's a tip, instead of the staff standing around chatting where you collect the towels why doesn't one of them walk around and check for free seats and clean up the towels so guests don't have to ask every single person if the seat next to them is taken.
Be careful of the surface near the pool when it's wet, if you are barefoot it can be very dangerous and slippery. I saw many people slipping over.
2 basic cocktails plus tax = $40. Ugh.
Ridiculously priced room servicePros: Rooms were nice.Cons: Room service is a scam.
Our continental breakfast was literally 4 pieces of toast and a pot of coffee for $35 which included a $7 service charge on top of 18% gratuity.
If you don't believe it, order it and see for yourself.
Other than rooms everything else is overpriced.
Absolutely Amazing Hotel, Breathtaking & LuxuriousPros: Amentities, they had a great casino, you literally would never have to leave this hotel if you did not want too. They have some of the greatest restaurants and shops in all of Las Vegas absolutely our new favorite and probably the only hotel we will stay in from now on in Las Vegas.
Pros: clean, luxurious. freidnly staff, very quiet rooms. unable to hear the bustle of the strip. great for sleeping ect.
large rooms with 3 tvs. great location
good valueCons: no buffet. no free wifi, no free fridge in room.
Dirty BathroomPros: Room LayoutCons: Housekeeping is poor.
Pros: Big and beautiful hotel & suites. Cons: I did not like the fact that there is no space to put things in the fridge.
Is stocked with their stuff and will charge you if you move it.
Worst Venetian ExperiencePros: The convenience of checking out. The suite. CasinoCons: The staff attitude, Not so clean room. The inconvenience of checking in. Front desk said they don't have the reservation from Kayak so I called Kayak and ask to send Venetian another copy of the reservation. However, Kayak's system was down on that day so they had to send it another way via email. The front desk basically told me the sales is going through mass emails and did not have time to look for my reservation that Kayak sent. Ridiculous.... If this is the way you treat guests then bye, I will not stay at this hotel anymore. I waited at the counter for at least 45 minutes trying to get this resolved and nothing can be done unless I pay the walk-in price (Way more expense!) and they will issue the refund once they received the reservation from Kayak. It's been 3 days and I still don't see the refund! This was probably my 10th time staying at this hotel and it was the worst.
