Pros: Recent renovation and upgrades. Staff. Closeness to downtown Kitchner.
Cons: The price for parking with it being so far from the bldg and exposed to the elements.
Pros: The room was nicely decorated. They had updated the bathroom with a shower stall instead of the traditional bath / shower, which we found was great use of space. They provided a mini fridge with microwave and had a coffee station, which we didn't use but thought was a great if we were staying longer.
Cons: The pillows were too full. Couldn't get a good night"s rest as they were too high. The hotel needs a variety of types available to meet peoples needs.
Pros: The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and the room was absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect because is close to restaurants, bus station and Coffee shop.
Cons: I loved my stay at the hotel.

Needs a bigger sign to be seen. Don't like the fact that I had to pay when we got there. like it better when it can be done online. Price on computer said--- and when all said and done was---. Wasn't worth---.
Pros: Bed was nice, liked some of the decorating, big TV. Gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and nice.
Cons: Bathroom quite rundown, tap very touchy and hard to adjust to the safe temperature, no glasses. really missed them! THe online listing said no amenities in room but got there and there was a microwave and a fridge. Couldnt get on the WIFI
Pros: Honestly, I had no issues with the hotel other than a bit of housekeeping. The TV had a bit of bad colour but worked fine. I got what I paid for. Staff extremely pleasant. I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Not as clean as it should be. There were a couple long hairs in the bedspread that definitely were't mine. Got a new set of sheets immediately (the man offered to make my bed with sincere apologies) Floors definitely not clean, bathroom floor icky.

Cons: The walls are thin -- the room had much less privacy than I expected.
Pros: The home stay experience was excellent - felt like home but only better!

Located in the heart of Kitchener, this guesthouse is within 3 mi (5 km) of Waterloo Park, Waterloo Central Railway Station, and University of Waterloo. Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and Wilfrid Laurier University are also within 6 mi (10 km).
Cons: The star rating is off. Perhaps some rooms are 3 star but our room was located at the back of the property in the motel part. The carpet was stained, the room felt musty, the drapes smelled. 1.5 star at best.
Cons: Bad service attitude , Room without Elevator, Aged Room and beddings, etc.
Cons: room smells like sewer
Pros: From the moment we checked in we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was nice and clean, with plenty of towels and other supplies. Most of all, we received good value for the money and we enjoyed our 3 night stay.
Cons: Room was dirty. Bathroom was horrible.

Pros: Reception clerk was good and location was convenient for me but basically remote. Unit was not very clean and full kitchen with NO appliances . Now beforehand and adjust , WiFi good , Big TV with 8 channels...
Cons: See review
Pros: They were doing construction in the hallway during the stay. They started with the power tools at 7:30am. Clearly this is a value stay place, slightly better than staying at the university of Waterloo residence, but nothing to brag about

Pros: It was a great value, service from the desk was outstanding - got upgraded to a better room at no cost.
Cons: Hot water did not work - after 2 minutes of the shower running, the shower did not even try to push out hot water - turning the knob all the way to hot just turned off the water. Rooms also seemed a bit moldy, my allergies reacted to this.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was well stocked with supplies. Very economical for its intended purpose.
Pros: The location was good for the venue that we were attending.
Cons: The room wasn't clean, needed vacuuming and the bathroom floor was dirty. The bathmat had black mould on it so I didn't feel it was clean enough to use the bath. Our unit is in need of renovation. There was a big patch of filler on the door.
Pros: Close to the highway. Good people to work with. No deposit required.
Cons: Washroom has a sink in the main room toilet didn't flush properly.
Cons: dirty, waste of money, not even a bathtub plug to enjoy a bath
Pros: Not worth the price at all . I felt I was cheated for this garbage I paid 71 dollars
Minus the spiders in the bed problem, it was quite nice.
Pros: I was very impressed by the updates within the room. Although dated from the outside and the looks of some of the clientele, it was very nice inside. Better than the Howard Johnson I stayed in the week prior.
Cons: The bed was covered in spiders which I didn't realize until I was under the covers and had to get up to use the washroom. It was when I pulled back the covers that I discovered this. By that time it was 4am and no one was around to rectify the problem.

Pros: The manager of this property went out of his way to help in any way he could.
l am in my mid sixties, and slightly handicapped; and he bent over backwards to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible, all things considered.
Unfortunately, the premises were not up to his standards of customer service. He is to be lauded for his genuine kindness and care for a guest's well being.
Cons: l was in a designated "Non Smoking" room... the blankets and bedspreads were covered in cigarette burn holes, and a light layer of grit. The smoke detector had been removed leaving only bare wires.
My clothes wreaked of smoke even though l don't smoke.
The toilet paper had no holder.
There was a coffee maker but no coffer or other supplies.
There was a bar fridge which was so uneven, anything l put in it fell over when l opened the door.
The area to hang up clothes was located over the fridge, so anything of any length laid across the fridge to.
There was no clock or clock radio in the room, nor were there any hand rails in the bathtub/shower area. The lighting was very bad, casting a "yellow" glow over everything, causing me to use the wrong makeup, (l was going to a wedding).
This property should not be featured on your list of hotels to recommend. Especially when it was advertised as $45 and turned out to be $73.00 ... if a property is advertised, at least have the honesty to use the the dollar value of the country wherein it is located, don't leave us to find out you have quoted US$ in a CDN city!
Cons: Were sent to two rooms that were not ready. Were not really cleaned thoroughly. Found an onion ring on the floor near the bed. TVs were horribly out of date and remotes sometimes functioned.
Cons: Electrical outlets were not working at the room.
Pros: Breakfast, staff, and coffee in the room and blow dryer. Myprior room would be better.
Cons: Outdated decor ie. No glaze on the bathtub. Unfortunately it appeared some illegal activity was occurring ie. Drugs alcohol.
Pros: It is in a good location for what we went to Kitchner for, hockey. It is located right between the 3 arenas. Also the room SIZE was nice. But it stops there.
Cons: Where do I start. It looks like a prison, not well kept. There is torn wallpaper, holes in the wall, dust, the pool heater was not working and closed by the health department, it smelled, and there was a drug overdose the night we were there.
Pros: Close to Beer Store.
Cons: Hot tub broken. Pretty grubby.
Pros: Good as ad.
Pros: Terrible place. Filthy! Horrible!!!
Cons: Rude staff. I could not stay there because of the filth
Cons: Housekeeping never came to any of the six rooms we booked
Pros: Fantastic for kids. Staff were very accommodating for parents and kids to enjoy the facilities and meet up with other hockey families at the pool
Cons: Little out dated. Pool heater was not working. Could use updating of rooms but beds were good and clean. Good selection for continental breakfast but furnishings could be updated..
Cons: very dirty public areas, given inferior old room because booked online, offered cash upgrade to a 'nice room' on checkin, headboard fell completely off wall first time we sat on the bed and to top it all off we were bitten by bedbugs
Pros: Awful dirty place. Shame on Howard Johnson for keeping this hotel under their banner. Dirty stained stinky carpeting throughout. Awful room where ice machine located. No air conditioning working in our red on. Shame on Howard Johnson
Cons: See above
Pros: Great food & atmosphere in the pub
Pros: The pool.
Cons: It really needs a face lift.
